Ashes of Angie’s Mom To Be Scattered
British tabloid The Daily Mirror reports that Angelina Jolie will take Brad Pitt and her family to scatter her mom’s ashes in the Bahamas. (Marcheline Bertrand, 56, died last week from ovarian cancer.)
Their source says: “It was one of her favorite places, so Ange wants this to be special.”

MrsR. There was no issue of tolerance or nontolerance in my earlier post. I just stated what I thought. Seems more like you were in the mode of judging and preaching when you were reading, so you attacked me for being “intolerant”. I don’t think I expressed any opinion in the post. I don’t even have an opinion on the matter.
But good to know you and your loved ones all like to be cremated!

It’s a paparazzi party as Brad Pitt makes them wait hours for his exit. The paparazzi scream and yell as a meter maid goes about his job. The cops come and warn the paps. When Brad exits it is mayhem, largely because he unexpectedly is not wearing his helmet. A pap asks him if he has spoken with Angelina Jolie’s father Jon Voight. Brad makes it to his motorcycle, starts it only to have it stall. He is so furious that his helmet visor is completely fogged. The paps heckle him mercilessly. One even asks him if he’s ever ridden a motorcycle before, which he answers with a sarcastic nod.
You can see that there are TONS os paparazzis, it’s insane. I think he’s going to lose his cool soon, poor guy.

Thank you for your wise comments! Someone (doesn’t matter who) made a comment yesterday to the effect of “how do we label this person” about a poster with rather contradictory statements. I pointed out at the time that there’s really no need to “label” anyone, but I don’t think it was really heard. Generalizations about ANY group of people are what lead to stereotypes etc. Life is rarely black and white, but many shades of grey.
BAMZS has fans from all over the world and from what I can see they are well represented here! This is a big part of why I keep coming to JJ and I’d be very sad to see anyone leave because they felt they were being marginalized or misunderstood (including bashing a fan for having poor English - which I saw just 2 days ago). JMHO

Here’s another Observation I see - There’s a Back-Firing on the Jolie-Pitt Smear Campaign:
It’s Ironic, the Haterz and the Media-Tainters have this all-consuming desire to bring this couple down because of the all-consuming hatred that their readership: the Golden Couple fans, have. However, this is back-firing because the vast majority who are forced onto this journey don’t care and didn’t care in the first place. If anything, the vast majority who could care less are being forced to learn about Pitt and Jolie (who weren’t fans in the beginning) and now are beginning to care and take notice of all the good acts and great personalities the two as individuals have (and the fans have known all along) - thus, the BAMZS fans and supporters.
In the beginning, there are the Pitt fans and the Jolie fans who have grown and evolved as they did. These fans know who Pitt and Jolie really are and can easily defend them without blinking.
However, there was the Golden Couple fans that wanted an embodiment of the good-oldfashioned American values. Obviously, up to this day there has been no one to fill those shoes leaving quite a void for a generation to emulate and thus feeding their helplessness.
And, the rest of the population that could care less or have better things to do than worry about Hollywood. These are the guys who say they want their media back and don’t want anymore bombardment of all this soap-opera.
The Golden Couple fans felt betrayed and have used the media-tainters and cyber-haterz (just for the sake of hating) to carry their cause and annoyingly fill our public space with their un-original, same-o-same-o, tiring tirades about what is wrong with Pitt and Jolie.
When people (this is the vast majority who could care less) say ‘they are tired of the triangle’ or ‘they are tired of this couple’ - what they are really saying is the same as Pitt and Jolie have been saying - they are tired of the whiners tracking and commenting on their daily lives. The reason their lives are being tracked - so that the Golden Couple fans can be there when (which is the only consolation prize they have left) the two break-up.
That’s why we are on Year 2 and there is no sign of that happening and their utter desperation for taking the vast majority on this fruit-less ride.
The Pitt and Jolie true fans know this from the beginning and have tried to save the Golden Couple fans as well as the vast majority of people they have taken on for a ride involuntarily the wasted time and trouble .

People should really stop trying to judge other people’s IQ level (Too funny!!!). This is a celebrity blog and everything should be taken with a grain a salt. However, I noticed that some people only want to believe the bad things about BP and AJ and not the good. BP and AJ are good humanitarians and have done good work throughout the world as well as the USA. They have done good work in Namibia and the people there appreciate them. Whether they visited again is up to BP and AJ and the people of Namibia. However, they are highly regarded there as well as different countries throughout the world. Not every Country is celebrity obsessed and hang on to every scandal in a person’s past. Some countries just appreciate the help and attention that a generous, international couples like BP and AJ bring.

I got an email today about a guest book that is being collected to send to Angie and Brad, to give them comfort in the days after Marcheline Bertrand’s passing. There will be nothing inflammatory or mean put there, so it will be a sweet gift to give her. I think she probably doesn’t realize how many fans Brad and she have, since the haters are so much more vocal. Please take time to give her your condolences.

That sounds like a pretty interesting thought — waste of real estate. But I think most people are more “religious”or spiritual than that so they don’t consider real estate. Or they want their bodies to become ashes and scattered (say in the ocean) for some other lofty ideas. Personally, I don’t know what I would do with my body after I die. Haven’t decided and it’s still too early to consider, :).
[Note to those who are looking to judge: I did not say if I agree or not that it was a waste of real estate, I just said it was a interesting thought! And when I said "interesting", I don't mean "good" or "bad", just plain interesting]

MrsR. I see where you were comming from, but you didn’t explain well. I thought you thought I was passing judgment on different methods of handing dead bodies. But in the part you quoted, I was making fun of some “fan Phenomena”, and not focusing on the other matter that you are obviously feeling very personal about. Note again, I said “talk about how the ash thing makes sense to them because they are AJ’s fans!” I did not say if the ash thing makes or does not make sense. I said “they think” it made sense. That was a factual statement.

Bravo - ITA. What’s so disturbing is that in the wake of not having a traditional “Golden Couple” to idolize (other couples like Reese & Ryan have split, Beyonce & Jay-Z refuse to acknowledge their coupledom ‘properly’) many have chosen to just hate, and in turn many are sick of the hate (I sure am). It speaks volumes about our society these days.

If Brad did that, it would make him the biggest sap in HW. Remember when his pal, Clooney, was goated by the paps, via the paps calling his female companion ‘fat’? The paps like stars behaving badly pics, just like that Justin and Cameron pic.
Brad needs to remain cool. He should revert back to the ‘Rope a Dope’ strategy that he and Angelina employed over the last few years. These paps are going to slip up, big time.
I’m getting ashed, I don’t want my family going through the expense and bother of buying a casket and burial plot. I’m going be in another place anyway

133 - I agree - we should all be able to speak 2 lanuguages - I can’t but wish I did.
I feel so horrible for these people. I hope the fascination and curiosity about their relationship will die down as soon as possible. It must be a miserable existence to be stalked and goggled at everytime you leave your house. The paparazzi need to find some shiny new toy very soon. These celebrities need some kind of protection from these people. These “photographers” need to have some sort of credentials or something and there need to be rules in place. It’s completely out of control now. These tabloids and gossip shows only make it worse.
Fans do not have the right to, nor need to know every detail about a persons life. If I want to know something about my favorite celebrity, I am more than happy to get information from the interviews they give in legitmate publications such as Variety or Esquire, etc. The climate is changing in so many ways and not for the better. The government is gonna have to step in at some point and start making some changes. If not them, then maybe the Screen Actor Guild can try to establish some control over the situation and at least try to protect their actors. That way paparazzi and the tabloid mags and shows will be reduced to talking about musicians, beauty queens, and heiresses. I hope things get better for these two someday soon. They could certaintly use it.
For those wanting to read the Tribute to MB in People you can read it hear……and as we all knew Angie didn’t grant an interview!
