Power couple Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise enjoyed the backstage view of Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez performing a duet on the Pontiac Garage Stage. The concert was held at the Ocean Drive/Market America Super Bowl XLI party earlier tonight in the South Beach section of Miami Beach, Florida.

It must be so amazing for Katie to be able to have such good “friends” who will watch Suri at the drop of a hat so and Tom can have a romantic evening out in Miami with her mother-in-law (pictured in last picture).

I agree totally about firing her stylist. That woman cannot dress herself. No matter what she is in it looks ill fitting or somehow just wrong. I can’t figure it out. She has a decent body, but she certainly can’t wear clothes. It is like she or Tom wants her to be the style icon Nicole Kidman was and often still is. It just goes to show that all the money in the world can’t buy fashion sense and class.
UGH. She’s so young and she dresses so matronly. And she’s had s few nips and tucks to her face, as young as she is–you can tell. He’s a gay troll. Don’t pretend that this is anything more than a “marriage” of convenience.

I know Tom considers himself an A-Lister, but I think with the public he is rapidly losing ground on all fronts–personally and professionally. It doesn’t help that he is trying to look 20 again. This man is over 40 and the hair he is wearing looks dreadful on him. His weight gain accentuates his big nose and other facial flaws and with the long Beatle-esque hair–he looks ridiculous. The public is seeing an aging actor that is not aging gracefully either physically or as an actor. If he could be more like a Clint Eastwood or Jack Nicholson and say “Hey I’m getting older, use it and the experience that comes with age” instead of trying to look younger he’d be more respected. You can tell he has lost a lot of power because the gossip columnists and legitimate news sources have crucified him in the past and when he was at his height (haha) that never would have been allowed to happen. I cannot stand either one of them anymore. She looks like an Amish stepford wife in that get up.
Tom will always be an A-lister. This couple is great. Katie looks awesome, and Tom has lost weight. I hope they have a wonderful life together.

I lost respect for Tom after the whole Brooke Shields bashing. He made no sense what-so-ever in his interview on the Today show. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say ONE……….Tom is not female and TWO………….he’s never given birth!!!!! Why on earth would he say he knows about post partum depression! I’d rather watch paint dry than watch Tom and Katie out and about hugging and kissing all over each other.

No matter what people think of him or how they might perceive him. that’s very rare. even tho he is a little kooky, I like him. his openness reminds me of a certain young lady that is on this site quite often. that’s why I like her as well.
Kate is cute in a little kid sort of way, [odd] she seems to be a follower. And the rumors were that she quit Batman, no.. she was fired. her team just tried to save face. the studio and people in charge of the film didn’t want her back. now she has to settle with a little film with Queen, instead of a Blockbuster with Bale.

Unless you hang out with him or know him personally, you don’t know who he is when he’s not in the public spotlight. Whether it’s in an article/interview, photo, premiere, or behind-the-scenes clips, he’s ‘on’. He’s ‘on’ at the children’s sporting games, he’s ‘on’ in Miami, he’s ‘on’ when he’s out in public period because there is always someone watching.
Both look so dumpy… he needs to get his schnooz done, it’s taking over his face and making him look like a rat.
I guess I really have to hand it to him since he obviously does not seemed to be concerned about the height issue. Nicole commented that she could “finally wear high heels” so whether it was consideration on her part, or sensitivity on Tom’s it was at least an issue while they were married.
Perception is everything in Hollywood and although they seem happy, (which is great) I think their marriage will unfortunately negatively effect both of their careers. Katie appears unnaturally tall and old for her age, and Tom appears short odd and unstable. -Time will tell in the end I guess.
I see Tom’s rabid PR team is working its magic on some people already. In about a year, we’ll see pictures of Katie be the PERFECT wife and mother to her ALL THREE of her CHILDREN and women will say “how cute!!!” and “I love her clothes!” and then people will be converted to like Tommy again too.
Count me out….I’m going to be sitting on the sideline laughing at the fools buying into this PR strategy.
I do have to hand it to Tommy, his PR team is good at rebuilding his image. Go out to restaurants in suits, parade Katie around with Posh, show over the top PDA, hang out with other high profile couples to show how “normal” they really are. And the main thing: always wear fashionable clothes so people on focus on how you look and your clothes. After all, people are forgiving of well dressed people. Crazy remark but it’s true!
I can’t wait for the pictures of Beckhams, the Smiths (will and jada) and J.Lo and her husband to hang out with the Cruises. If nothing else, it’ll provide me with a good laugh once in a while.

I have to say I’m almost indifferent where these two are concerned - I don’t despise them as some people here do (or believe the gay rumours), but I also don’t LOVE them either. They don’t really evoke much of anything out of me - they’re kind of like milk or white rice - just bland. They seem like a nice couple that genuinely love each other and their family, which I think is great, but considering that this is Tom Cruise I expect more. However, if the trade off is that they have found happiness and live ‘happily ever after’ well good for them.
The fact that Katie refers to Connor and Isabella as ‘her children’ is very sweet and I was impressed by this however, because we all know Nicole only trots them out on special occasions and they deserve to have a good mother figure in their life.
Jane - I agree with your comments about Tom and the whole Brooke Shields thing - he was way out of line on that one. But if Brooke has forgiven him then that’s cool.

While that may be true for some people, it certainly doesn’t apply to me. I go to high school, play basketball, volunteer, am in extra-curricular clubs, etc. This is only a check once when I’m home kinda thing. And you’re right, I’m bored THEN, but that doesn’t account for 90% of my life. Right now I’m on only because I’m waiting for the Superbowl to start and therefore can’t go anywhere. Can’t say the same for you, though.

The fact that Nicole doesn’t “trot her kids out” doesn’t mean she is never with them. It’s well known that she has always been very protective of her kids privacy (a sentiment that Tom used to share until recently…..). Remember how few pics there were of the kids when they were younger?
Nobody can say she’s a bad mother, or an absent mother, just because we don’t see many pictures of her with them. Likewise, Katie doesn’t automatically become a good mother figure because she smiles for the camera and says the right things in magazine interviews……

Nicole had physical custody after the divorce. It is my understanding through another interview that the kids wanted to settle in L.A. and she and Tom worked it out that they would stay with him.
Instead of criticizing her, I say kudos to her and to him (whom I cannot stand) for doing what is right for the kids instead of using the kids as weapons and bargain chips against each other. If more parents were able to put aside their own selfish needs and do what is right for the kids in a divorce we’d have less problem children.
But so glad you know her so well that you can make such sweeping statements. Trot away why don’t you.
