Older‘300′ Movie Stills
Gerard Butler stars as King Leonidas in the upcoming epic film 300, which tells the story of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas and 300 Spartans fight to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army.
300 is based on the creator of Sin City Frank Miller’s graphic novel about the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 B.C. The film opens in theaters nationwide (and on IMAX) on Friday, March 9. Check out more 300 movie stills here!
Gerard Butler, 37, played The Phantom in 2004’s The Phantom of the Opera co-starring Emmy Rossum. He also played British marine turned mercenary Terry Sheridan in 2003’s Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life co-starring Angelina Jolie.
Gerard is also featured in the March 2007 issue of Men’s Health looking like quite the sex symobl. Check it out here, here, and here. He recently shared the physical preparation he had to go endure for this film:
“So, through that pain it’s been amazing, but it’s been long hours. I’m training every second I get, whether with the stunt guys or especially with Mark [owner of Gym Jones, the team that trained with the cast]. I was doing that for two and a half months before the movie started, six days a week. At one point I was over doing it. I had two trainers – I was training in two different gyms and I was training with stunt guys everyday, so some days I was doing six hours a day. After a few months your body really can’t take that anymore, so come Christmas time I was considering getting a zimmer frame (walker) when I went back to Scotland, or getting a wheel chair to get some rest. I have a lot of aches and pains and I’m looking forward to the rest.”

I think I might actually go see this movie. I love these kind of movies. Gladiator, Troy, Alexander, Clash of the Titans, all of them.

BAMZ, Gerry is single and has been since 2003,after breaking up with his girlfriend of two years, he has went on lots of casual dates, and to many events with friends, but is not dating anyone in particular right now. he has been seen with Bianca Christians at several events, but they are not more then friends,he has said she is just a girlfriend, as in a friend that is a girl. he was seen at the 300 after party in pictures with Rosario Dawson, she was in the movie also and just posed with him. she is dating a latino actor from what I have heard, after breaking it off with her latest boyfriend. Gerry was seen April 2nd, in Miami with Naomi Campbell , they got into the same SUV, and then on April 8th he was caught in pictures in LA by a Macy’s store at a news stand with a blond woman, I know his assistant, Tonya, has blond hair, but it wasn’t Tonya, I hope this helps you.
By the way, when filming, Tomb Raider, Angie was married to either Johnny Miller, (he was in Dracula 2000, by the way) or Billy Bob Thornton, I’m not sure which one, but Gerry said he enjoyed doing the kissing scenes with her a lot., and meeting Maddox, oh I guess that means she was with Billy, hahaha.
OK, Gerry was at the Elton John’s ball for AIDS, June 28 and guess what so was Rosario Dawson, in the pics she looks the same way like she did in those taken in March with him, cant even describe it, but others did and comments were: “looked like she made a beeline for him”, “she dont look interested, just posing”, “not a good pair”…..me, no comment about Rosario, as for Gerry, he is nice looking.
Ok, TZ, I am confused, you said Gerry has been single, yet according to a post from a Website, the girl said it was his birthday, November, 2006, in New York, they were promoting 300, and they were talking to Gerry, who seemed a little nervous at the time, and then he commented his girlfriend was standing over there (and pointed), Bianca, she said looked jealous. Also, the girl said this was the first time she had heard Gerry admit he had a girlfriend, he is usually private.Then, in March, I read comments of an interview he was in saying he had just gotten out of a long relationship…..I am confused, I did see pics of him and Bianca in March, June, August of 2006, then January 2007, am I reading right?
Lonewolf, I have since found out that he was dating Biance for a while, but actually broke it off with her, I heard it was because she was using him to get more movie connections, they have broke it off and from what I have heard, she tried to get in to a premiere of his and he told his people to get her to leave. she is now dating someone else, Tony somebody, and I for one am glad because I had guessed that was what was happening all along, because she was not well known as a model until she was dating him. Gerry has only a bright future ahead of him and doesn’t need people using him to get ahead, he is much too good for someone like that, and to much of a caring person, to have it happen to him
