Pitt and Jolie Coming to Germany?

Good news for Berlin’s real estate market: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have bought a loft apartment in eastern Berlin, according to a magazine report. They may even move there.

Hollywood’s hottest couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are rumored to have bought a large loft apartment in eastern Berlin, according to an unsourced report in the German edition of Vanity Fair.

The magazine, which was launched on Wednesday, said the 600 square-meter (6,450 square foot) apartment is in an unassuming part of town near Alexanderplatz square.

Pitt and Jolie have visited Berlin a number of times and Jolie recently told Britain’s OK! magazine that they will move to Europe. The couple owns an apartment in Paris as well.

Brangelina would add some Hollywood glamour to Berlin which is rolling out the red carpet for a number of stars attending the Berlin Film Festival starting on Thursday.

If confirmed, the purchase is a further image boost for Berlin’s property market following increasing reports that foreign investors are being attracted by the low price of real estate in the German capital. Not that price is likely to have been a major factor in Brangelina’s case.

Berlin’s mayor Klaus Wowereit has made a point of wooing Hollywood stars and directors to make films in the cash-strapped city since he took office in 2001. Tom Cruise is regularly spotted here and declared during a meeting with Wowereit that he had a “very special relationship” with Berlin.

Hmmmm spiegel is, I believe a reputable magazine in Germany. It is reporting from a report from Vanity Fair in Berlin. Hmmmmmm. No sources or no real evidence, I’m not sure if the report is actually true. Remember when every tab and even reputable magazines were alleging that they bought property in Canada?? And then there was the beautiful chateau in France? I’ll believe it when more evidence emerges - like the mondo bongo trust.

Brad looks mighty fine to me. So glad there are no photos of them or their family at the moment. They appear to have gone underground. May be, just may be, they will disappear for those 2 months, enjoying a wonderful healing break on necker island or somewhere similar. Love, love the idea.

FRENCHY, i think it has a some to do with the fact brad interest in architecture and design! well, all in all, is good investment for them when it comes to real estate. i’m happy for the jolie-pitt family.
