OlderEllen DeGeneres Takes It All Off… Almost!

KA! KA! KA! Ka! Ka! Ka. ka. ka. Ellen DeGeneres wears almost nothing and almost everything in her cover shoot for W Magazine March 2007 — Gucci, Rolex, Lanvin, and even Yves Saint Laurent. Ellen was photographed by Michael Thompson and styled by Alex White at Pier 59 Studios West. Here’s a few new highlights from the interview:
- Time once quoted you as saying there’s too much sex out there. I do think there’s too much, and I don’t have a kid. The lyrics of songs, everything; I just feel like every kid is growing up too fast and they’re seeing too much. Everything is about sex, and that’s fine for me. I’m not saying I don’t like it. But I don’t think it should be everywhere, where kids are exposed to everything sexual. Because they have to have some innocence; there’s just no innocence left.
- Do you consider yourself a spiritual person? I think that’s all we are, if we tap into it…. The praying starts when you’re faced with something, obviously. I just make a point of being aware of it every single day, all day if I can.
- Do you believe in God? I believe that’s a label for something.

Love the pics of Ellen - nice to see her glammed up and working some mojo. And the picture of her and Portia is so sweet - they make a cute couple and seem so happy together. I’m glad that Portia is starting to be acknowledged more in the media as her partner.
10 Bebo Says: ITA! lol. I really don’t think her sexual orientation has any bearing on her talent. And as a straight female, I’m not the least bit offended by a lesbian couple. I’m happy and confident in myself, so why would someone else’s sexuality threaten me?
I absolutely love Ellen’s show. I think what makes her successful is that she doesn’t flaunt her sexuality around, and her humor is wholesome and light-hearted.
Ellen & Portia are the new GOLDEN COUPLE LOL!!! I like Ellen. She has a zen quality which I admire unlike Rosie who’s is like a bulldog.

I have always loved Ellen even before she came out. She is and always has been down right hilarious!!! The most awesome thing about her is that she is gay, but that doesn’t define who she is, it’s just one small part of her. Unlike so many other gays in the media, she never shoves it down our throats. Straight, gay, bi whatever, no one wants to hear about it ALL THE TIME, ROSIE!!!!
Ellen is truly a class act, and has goodness and love in her heart. You never hear her say a bad word about anyone. The world would be a better place if it were filled with Ellens!

Seriously now… Why in the bleep would you specifically log onto and worse still, comment on a site where you know your just going to be upsetting people who are supportive of Mrs. DeGeneres. Seems to me like you need a more fulfilling pass time. Perhaps one which will leave you feeling a little less bitter and resentful of the world (or those who chose to live happily in it). Leave your gay bashing, and general people bashing at the playground. (And) I would recommend you make the wise choice of accepting those around you. You’ll find that you’ll go to bed with a much lighter conscience. I am female, straight and white, but my shell is not what defines me.
Live and let live, I say. Plant a tree, take a breath, and for god’s sake (or whomever you choose), just chill!
