Ryan Phillippe Punches Sarah Silverman

Yes, Ryan Phillippe, who has a black belt in tae kwon do, did, in fact, punch Sarah Silverman in 2000’s The Way of The Gun. Ryan, 32, was a guest on last night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! and shared about that experience and his upcoming film, Breach, which opens in theaters this Friday, Feb. 16. Unfortunately, there was no mention of Reese or much of his kids in this interview. Watch Ryan Phillippe on Jimmy Kimmel Live! below!

The first thing you learn after shoves and falls in stage violence is that punch, and the first thing they tell you is to punch straight over the shoulder and to watch the elbow. I think Sarah had the right to be pissed that he decked her with his elbow. That’s a really dub violence error, especially when you’re doing it on camera. You don’t get caught in the adrenaline like you would if it was on stage.

I like the way he sounds, it’s a very deep resounding voice that you would not expect out of him. And I think he is a very entertaining interviewee.
