Brad Pitt Shirtless in ‘Interview Magazine’
GUH!! In one of the sexiest photoshoots ever, Brad Pitt takes the March 2007 issue of Interview Magazine. Check out the full interview after the jump but here are some great excerpts:
- What movies do your kids want to watch over and over again? [The Adventures of] Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3D [2005] is real popular in our house.
- What do they think about your movies? Oh, they don’t — they’re not really old enough. Got to keep some distance. Though I wonder what their perspective of the world is — go to the store an there are 20 cameras all fighting for a shot. They just think that wherever you go there are these random bands of crazy people with flash photography.
- How do you feel about that? Truthfully, I think it’s really invasive to kids. There ought to be some kind of law.
- Though there’s a good side, too — when you guys go to a place like Darfur, you get the same kind of coverage. Yeah, we drag that spotlight with us.

The critics had written a part for Brad pitt but brad chose differently,that is why we get people who can’t move on.
IN THEIR SCRIPT BRAD PITT WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO DO THE FOLLOWING-
BRAD was not supposed to fall in love with Angelina Jolie (the so called bad girl)
BRAD was not supposed to have a baby with Angelina(he should have waited even for fifteen year while wife is looking for fame)
BRAD was not supposed to have BLACK or ASIAN babies(his kids were supposed to be very white)
BRAD was not supposed to adopt(if he did they were to be from USA)
BRAD was not supposed to be with Angelina three years down the line(he was supposed to be with her as a publicity stunt for mr and mrs smith then go be to hell with wifey)
BRAD was not supposed to have so many things in common with Angelina(it only show how different he was with wifey and we don’t like that because it show that Angelina is his perfect partner)
BRAD was not supposed to be by Angelina’s side no matter were they are the world(It only show that he values Angelina more because with wifey they spent most of there marriage apart)
BRAD was not supposed to travel and help Angelina with her humanitarian work(he should have stayed on the red carpet and be eye candy for tabs)
BRAD was not supposed to buy a home with Angelina in NO( Its show how committed they are so he should have stayed in LA because paps cant get photos of him)
BRAD IS TELLING HIS CRITICS WHO WANTED HIS LIFE TO BE WHAT THEY WANTED THAT HE MADE HIS CHOICE AND THAT CHOICE IS ANGELINA.EVEN THOSE IN HOLLYWOOD WANTED BRAD TO BE WITH WIFEY FOR PUBLIC SHOW EVEN IF IT MEANT SUCRIFICING HIS HAPPINESS,OR NOT HAVE KIDS.
BRAD YOU MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE.GOD BLESS YOU.

I liked how they handled the press for MAMS - they just totally shined them off and it was perfect! I just question what would happen if Angelina did that without another big male star (in this case Brad) taking the same stand with the press. The media would be even worse about it. I love how they just ignore the tabs for the most part and don’t run around wasting their time on the petty stuff. They’ve got a good grasp on the big picture. I think you do too by the way - always enjoy your thoughts.

That’s just it. It was a Brad’s instigation, so, I don’t know that Angelina would ever do that. Brad will and has.
Both Brad and Angelina know more than anyone how ridiculous it’s been. And they both know if they got caught up in it, it would take up their whole lives. So, they just don’t participate. If they responded to all of the drama or the silly tabloid stories, then that is how they’d be defined. Drama queens that are silly.
They just live their lives and the press be damned. The press is so busy trying to make things scandalous or sensationalized, that they miss what is really happening. Not just with Brad and Angelina. Brad and Angelina are living a normal life with their kids. There is nothing dramatic going on, unless, you’re L&S. If Brad and Angelina had so much flux going on in their lives, as some of these tabs try to make seem, they wouldn’t be able to function.
They’ve both made clear that they have the lives that they’ve always wanted and chose to have. No one held a gun to their heads. They are right where they want to be with whom they want to be with. And those that don’t like it, that’s their problem. Brad and Angelina aren’t going to take it on as theirs.

I’m so beyond Sleepy Time Tea - I take so many different herbs & vitamins that I don’t think my body even notices chamomile anymore - lol. Green Lettuce - I see LOTS of familiar faces - of course George and Matt stand out quite a bit to me (as well as Julia too!). I love what they did with this whole campaign - I wonder if it won any media awards. Something more for me to Google. Did you see the movie “Girl in the Cafe”? It inspired the One campaign and is one of my favourite movies EVER!
Did anyone watch the LIVE 8 concerts a couple of years ago? It was sooo amazing!

Well thank you Cliniqua - I appreciate that you appreciate! :-) I just love analyzing and putting together that kind of stuff (books, movies, you name it - I’ll sniff out the symbolism and tie it together. Spent 4 years in University doin’ it. Have to figure out how to make a living from it though). I thought the intro. to the interview was pretty brilliant for just one paragraph. Did you like the “SITCOM HANDCUFFS” double entendre? That rocked!

Thank you for the pic of Elvis Mitchell. He name and picture look very familiar, do you know what other articles he’s written? It’s escaping me at this time. He is just so darn familiar!
Good interview…great pictures!
I wasn’t surprised how this interview focused on his work and his role in Babel as this particular magazine (per my subscription) tends to do that with all of it’s subjects. Besides, this interview was done under pretense that Brad would be nominated for an Oscar. Given this, why would he use this particular interview as his platform to discuss his relationship? He wouldn’t. It’s not the right time. He is a very intelligent man.
While I don’t think he will ever talk about his ex or what went wrong in his marriage in the public form of an interview, I do believe he will speak more about his relationship and Angelina. While he is relatively private, he will open up but he will do it when he feels it won’t be as sensationalized because I think she and their family mean too much to him. He wants to lessen the possibility some of these tabs will have to cheapen it by trying to tie it to that triange bullshit. The reality is the more time that goes by, the less the public cares. The more it becomes about the two of them and no one else. I’d look to his next couple of projects (probably AOJJ) as to when he let’s it fly concerning Angelina.
P.S. I was amused with how he stated (paraphrasing) Angelina wasn’t in the script. How very true…but he chose her anyway :)
Brad Pitt the movie megastar, has portrayed unique and a variety of interesting movie roles in his carreer. He has been underrated as an actor like his predecessor, Robert Redford, his good looks sometimes eclipse his talent as an actor. Humble as he is, he is a movie icon in the making.
Brad Pitt as the man, has the courage to change his life course in his own terms. Despite intense media scrutiny and subsequent backlash in 2005, he has chosen Angelina and their 3 children as his family. His actions the last couple of years is a testimony of how he cherish and love Angelina Jolie deeply. As a fan, I have never seen him this happy, content and peaceful.
Brad Pitt the humanitarian, instead of just resting in his laurels as one of Hollywood’s most sought elite, Angie and himself continue to promote awareness and implement actual solutions to problems like Brad’s NOLA project, Angie’s long term commitment to the Millenium project and their Jolie-Pitt foundation giving out large sums of money to worhty causes.
Brad Pitt has come a long way, always been a good guy and now a better person as he carries his 40’s badge with honor, pride and Angie on his side.

Angelina gets the stupid sh*t up the wazoo….Diane Sawyer: ‘So what’s the diff between kissing Matt Damon and kissing Brad Pitt? (She actually gets asked this! ..and here she is WITH Brad Pitt in a long-term relationship and raising a family…and the other guy is a co-star w/ a family??!!) How were the love scenes? Blah blah blah….and on and on….Also, Brad, most likely because interviews with certain writers have to do with the films subject matter is getting an easier time of it for that reason. In other words, if your studio/producers schedule interviews to make of your wide releasing film a blockbuster — you might find yourself sitting down with with Lyin’ PeeCRUST or a Sawyer or a Viera or an ET (it’s who can we reach the bigger audience with - what questions will get more people to tune in) — but it can’t be stated enough, Brad’s film is not one that is going to get run on E! a lot….it’s smaller, it’s got an intnl cast, consequently we’ll get people like Elvis Mitchell - really great writers and scholars….but some of these less scholarly folk, and more infotainment types will go for the salacious goods every time.
Switching gears…
Catching up from last night…to those who think you can change my posting style, be it confronting the obvious haters or those that malign Brad and/or Angie and try to infer discord is occurring, or say that they are not devoted to each other….
It ain’t gonna happen. I post the way I post…I write the way I write. If I want to call someone out who snidely and sneakily implies Angie loves Brad more than he loves her, or vice versa, or that Brad is a coward…I will. I will do it every single time. If I’m in a particular mood, I will not suffer fools and go to town. That’s just the way it is. THAT SAID….all you lemmings can do yourselves a favor…STOP pouring over my posts with a fine tooth comb, you only betray your own interest in me. Don’t comment, don’t respond, and learn to skip. I swear…you people ‘BUST’ yourselves every time don’t you? Heh.
Some ppl that call themselves her “fans” NEVER fail
to insist on EVERY stupid and unimportant thing ( OR
people) that are bad for Angelina. The POINT is that she
never deserves them, that they are always FAKE.
Maniston, Hilton & company get it much worse, but at
least we know WHY.
Perez Hilton, eg, likes Angelina (as much as he is capable
of it), but of Maniston he says she is not a nice person and
has a DARK SOUL (and she’s proved to be exactly that).
Those “fans” should try to give less importance to FAKE
stuff and people that have nothing to do with Angelina.
The same people want Angelina to have a PR person!
I LIKE ANGELINA FOR WHO SHE IS (honest, intelligent,
TRUE TO HERSELF even at a price to be misunderstood
and quoted incorrectly). And, yes, it does not hurt that
she is a beautiful young woman as well.
I am happy that that she is NOT a part of the HW PR
UNDERGROUND.. Just look at Maniston again, she and
SH make me puke!
What is more important than anything else is that
Angelina IS a great actress, mum, wife (PRACTICALLY),
and a humanitarian with a GOLDEN HEART. I know
HW will never change her, she simply is not that person.
As for Brad, I’d like him to set the things straight. It was
HIS “experimental merger”.. But, that’s him and his way to
deal with things! Yes, we all can see how importantant
Angelina and their kids are to him, but I still think his
silence is NOT fair towards her. It truly is not.
