Brad Pitt Shirtless in ‘Interview Magazine’
GUH!! In one of the sexiest photoshoots ever, Brad Pitt takes the March 2007 issue of Interview Magazine. Check out the full interview after the jump but here are some great excerpts:
- What movies do your kids want to watch over and over again? [The Adventures of] Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3D [2005] is real popular in our house.
- What do they think about your movies? Oh, they don’t — they’re not really old enough. Got to keep some distance. Though I wonder what their perspective of the world is — go to the store an there are 20 cameras all fighting for a shot. They just think that wherever you go there are these random bands of crazy people with flash photography.
- How do you feel about that? Truthfully, I think it’s really invasive to kids. There ought to be some kind of law.
- Though there’s a good side, too — when you guys go to a place like Darfur, you get the same kind of coverage. Yeah, we drag that spotlight with us.

And it could be said that Brad is one lucky guy to have Angie.
Some act like she was a nobody and was just sitting around waiting on a knight to ride up and save her.
Anyone that has been an Angie fan for anytime knows she didn’t need Brad. Sure she felt heads over heels in love with him. But she continue with her life, raising Mad, and doing her UN work. I did NOT see her sitting around waiting on Brad — he is the one that went to her. Angie is and never was a woman that need rescuing by some man. I don’t buy into women need to be rescued by some man.
So as, I have said before both Angie and Brad are lucky to have found each other!
Guess who Maniston was photographed having dinner with last night….LAURA DERN!
Now this X knows damn well the tabloids are gonna have fun with this, the 2 women who Angie “stole” men from.

I have to say coming from the Jolie fan perspective, I was ticked off in the beginning that Pitt didn’t come out straight with his intentions publicly especially since it was ‘his’ divorce and not Jolie’s that caused all this public backlash over their relationship, and in my opinion, his pursuit of her. Angie could have been with any other guy and the public would care-less. Yes, she had bad press but she was in the process of changing her life positively and throwing that negative yoke out until this ‘other woman’ campaign.
In my opinion, this is what was the turning point: the Kenya Pictures
Angie flew into New York and the Ann Curry interview provided the opportunity for Angie to blast this sensationalism directly. At around this time Pitt did a Diane Sawyer interview where Diane Sawyer rubberstamped the ‘blood-vile, brother-kissing, tatooed’ labeling of Jolie - you can see Pitt draw daggers with his eyes at Diane for the ‘homewrecker’ comment but I don’t think he expected such a statement from her to quickly draw blood and he just seemed not used to addressing such blatant mean-ness - he has not riled off on anybody not his style, so that he could not respond appropriately to kill this on his end. Welcome to the minivan majority. Sawyer totally sold or solidifed the ‘American sweetheart’ Aniston (bringing up how Pitt’s mom was mad and disappointed in him from another interview)

I, now think, he was unprepared for the approach that the press was going to take on his pursuit of Jolie - which from the interview, I can tell he was very cautious in undertaking since I believe he still hadn’t clinched Jolie yet. Talking about how certain things had to come together as individuals as if things were still in development.
Knowing more about Pitt now, I agree with kidi - 183. His feelings for Jolie is so overwhelming he couldn’t and wouldn’t share his feelings without being mushy and a mess - just talking about her in the interview he couldn’t erase his gleeful smirk he’s trying so hard to suppress.

In summary, I can see that Pitt didn’t expect the backlash on Jolie and knowing how much he loves her, I think he truly would have moved mountains for this not to affect Jolie. But Jolie has a stubborn streak and won’t allow anyone to defend her and Pitt is not a love-professing kinda guy to begin with. He’ll describe their great personalities but unless he’s on Oprah - you can’t push out any mush from him - ok, Pitt fans can correct me here; this is what I’ve read and seen so far.
So, in that sense, I think Pitt did not ‘defend’ Jolie as some have put it because he was unaware he needed to defend Jolie and has already come out and said she was not to blame. He also does not talk about Jolie because he doesn’t talk about the women in his lives unless cornered by the press (and in Jolie’s case, the press has not done so). Probably, the question put forth should be why has the press changed tactics and not asked him about Jolie where they would ask him in the past about his current flings……….
I think the press should be blamed and not Pitt for why Pitt does not talk about Jolie much.
JoliePitt: Well thank you - I always do my best writing late at night. I once spent a whole week writing term papers every night and sleeping all day, and was known as “The Vampire” for the rest of the year in my residence :-) Love your posts too!

There’s a face there for every age, race, demographic - because it affects each and every one of us. We are all on this little rock, hurtling through space together and we have to figure out how to respect and tolerate people we don’t always understand, save millions of people from starving needlessly every year, and look after this beautiful planet we have been given. Susie - at least when I can’t sleep I know I can always pop in to JJ and find some great threads and other friendly BAMZS to chat with I like the community feel here. I hear what you’re saying (and definitely agree that JA should have just quit while she was ahead of herself) but I think it would drive fans totally nuts to not get some glimpses into the great new relationship. Also, Angelina wouldn’t be being true to herself if she put those kinds of limitations on herself either, and it seems that Brad respects that she has a different interview style and doesn’t ask her to be anything but herself (I love that). As well, it seems that when women are promoting new films they are expected to speak about their romantic relationships much more than men are, so it’s just part of the job. But I do wish people were as sincerely interested in her humanitarian work as they are in her love life

I don’t want change in her openess, her honest, and her bluntness. Those are some of her best quilities, IMO. I say we need more people like her — I don’t want many intervierws that often because all you are going to get is fluff. But the same can’t be said about Angie.
I hate that she is damned if she does and damned if she doesn’t.
I agree with #29, I love BAMZS but Brad needs to be more vocal about how his marriage to Chin was over before he met AJ. The media/public did not crucify Nicole Kidman when she stole TC from his 1st wife, or PC for her part in the break-up of TC and NK
so that’s what he looks like with lots of make up and photoshopping….

Angelina has no publicists, never has had, sees no need. She is now aware that what she says might have an effect on Brad or their three kids, and takes that into consideration when she speaks. That is the norm when one has loved ones.

What on earth can Brad say that will show how much he loves Angelina more than his actions such as being practically glued to her side? Everything either of them say is analyzed and picked apart. But critics can’t dispute that the are inseparable, and that for the first time in her life, Angelina has a partner who supports her endeavors, whateveer and whereever they are.

This is Angelina’s and Brad’s relationship, not anyone else’s. Angelina herself has said that she is happy and in love with Brad and with the life they have created together. Why is that not enough for some of those commenting? Maybe some are Angelina fans only, and are still not so pleased that she is with Brad, that she has somehow “changed” from the Angelina that they thought she was. Part of the maturity process adults go through is to recognize who one is and what you want and need in your life. Clearly, Angelina wants Brad in her life, and Brad wants Angelina in his life.

Cruise went on a negative campaign against Nicole. This is where I thought Cruise was a vile human being but Nicole did quiet down after that.
There were the miscarriage rumours followed by Cruise saying Nicole knows what she did to end the marriage.
Basically, each called each other out.

Brad’s PR have been working hard to establish him as an entity different from Brangelina. All the interviews he has given has been about his roles and his production company. The most personal he ever gets is talking about his children.
C: Implication is that Brad is not his own man, that Brad does what people tell him to do for his career. Implication is that Brad is so gutless he saves off talking about Angelina, but the kids are a safe bet.
For once I wish Angelina had a PR person to advise her and keep the interviewer from asking about Brad, maybe she really need to be saved from her honesty.
C: Implication is that ’saved from her honesty’ means she should NOT be herself, and that she should start having less integrity like poster implies Brad has, and being more concerned about her career and what people think of her, again, LIKE BRAD. By the way, I can really tell how much you like Brad, and how ‘good you think he is for Angelina.’
True, he has been by her side through it all, but also interesting that all the promotions he has done he have never been vocal about his feelings for Angie, meanwhile she has told the world how she loves him, and he was the one that was married and Angelina has been slammed for the demise of that marriage.
C:Again, see bold: Implication is that Brad is not the person that Angelina is. That he is weak and not ‘brave, bold and free.’ She is honest, and he is not. Implication is that A) he is soley about saving his career and himself and finally B) Implication is also that perhaps Brad is not as vocal, not only because he is gutless and so concerned about his career so he is being verrrrry careful, but also implication is that perhaps he’s ‘just not into her.’
You can slam me all you want but this is the point of view of a fan, I just feel that Angie has borne the brunt of all the fall out and Brad keeps sailing along.
C: Hah. SEE. She expected to get slammed from the word go here. Being true to the bamzs fan that I am, I obliged. She should be happy. Please do not backtrack on your initial comments. It’s always too easy to go back and re-post what you said. In no part of your initial slam against Brad, did you imply (like your saying of late) that you thought Brad and Angelina are soooo good for each other. It was a slam on Brad’s character. If you’re a true fan of Angelina, I wonder how it is, you think she could even be with such a man who isn’t as ‘bold, brave and free,’ as she herself is…afterall, Brad is the one went after Angelina (as this latest interview aptly demonstrates), DAMN THE CONSEQUENCES, the guy was even saying at the time…’I've had a good run,’ telling the world, IMO that you can ddo whatever you like re my career, I’m going for SELF. The guys is Brad Pitt, he had just cut himself loose from a HELLUVA ball & chain…he could have been in Vegas with Clooney with 10 ho’s a piece on each arm…he could have at LEAST waited 6 months or even a year before being with Angie - that would have cut out some of this crap…not all, but a lot…he didn’t….he went for his, he was in love…and he didn’t care what was said - as they have both said before — THEY KNOW THEY’RE TRUTH…sadly, it’s just some so-called fans, that don’t want to BELIEVE…

Did want to also agree with Lady G, she sure is, thats why I like how she handles her life, if you don’t like it oh, well! She is one of the most together and strong women out there! For the tween set, this is the person to look up to as a role model!
