I know and that poster needs to pull the stick out of their butt and get a sense of humor. And I’m pretty sure it’s not attached to the stick. They set themselves up. If you can’t laugh at yourself, then you can’t really laugh.

ida, I hope you don’t mind if I got a chuckle from your earlier post. I know you meant to say Brad and Angie were “lucky people”, but your keyboard played a trick on you, and instead you wrote “licky people”. I loved that! **smiling**

danielle, I read the comment about Angelina having dinner with Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones a few years ago, too, and it makes it all the odder that– if Douglas knew Angelina personally– he would make the comment he did last year about Brad and “her orphans”.

Being familiar with all gossip and all things Brad & Angie from the minute we heard about them being ‘together’ I recall this tidbit like it was yesterday. Actually it wasn’t JUST Angie, Michael D and Cathy Z having dinner, Brad was there as well. Don’t know why that dude failed to mention that, but I suspect he was just interested in conveying his thoughts on Angelina, who he said was an “incredibly lady.”

Anyhoo — I believe what happened is that Brad and Angelina went to a restaurant (NYC maybe??) and Douglas and Jones were there, so they joined them in the back room. This was indeed BEFORE the commentary that Douglas supposedly made, because I remember when we heard that quote from him we were floored because this tidbit about them chance meeting up in the same restaurant and having dinner was out there. We couldn’t believe he’d say such a thing after having conversed politely with them and broke bread.

Truth be told, I think Douglas has TRUMPitis.

If you watch nature and animal life shows, it’s also known as the END-OF-LIFE CYCLE OF THE ALPHA MALE.

What this is, is a simple affliction of an old man with one foot in the grave, being painfully reminded that he is NOT in his young wife’s peer group by looking upon the physical perfection of such a hot and stunning fellow YOUNG couple, such as Brad & Angelina….

….and knowing that not only is he old enough to be ALL of their fathers, he will NEVER experience what Brad is experiencing because he is an old, and no longer sexually viable male….In other words, in the animal kingdom, the old males are killed in the fields by the young males…and the young females — well they want nothing to do with them.

Old males who are human however, can amass power and fortune, and so they will always have some gold digging ho’s around. LOLOL But for narcissists like Douglas and Trump, this isn’t enough….

Poor Douglas and Trump are delusional…they’d still like to believe that the young thing they’re with, wants them for WHO they are…and because she finds them attractive. hahahaha…

Poor CZJ will never know the joy of looking at her man and just dissolving in a puddle of goo, like Angie does.

Douglas (Trump too) knows the ONLY reason why they have their ‘trophy’ wives is due to their $$$ and in Douglas’ case, his $$$ and HW connections. Hence, in the face of such overwhelming beauty such as Angie’s, and the way she looks at Brad (and probably the way CZJ was looking at Brad too that night..ahahahaha) they are reminded of what they will NEVER have. They are reminded of their own life cycle.

The crazy jealous old and ornery alpha male aggression exhibits itself by trying to tear the younger man down. Trump does it by insulting Angie, Douglas by vaguely insulting Brad and Angie both.

Consider it the last gasp of a dying rickety old toothless wolf…still believing in their own prowess, still believing they are viable mates…and still wanting to rut with the young females, and attempting to chase the younger ones off.

Seriously, that’s it in a nutshell.

(Don’t look now, but here’s another theory…there’s a reason why CZJ got an Oscar nod, and subsequent Oscar, and there’s a reason why Brad doesn’t have one…Kirk Douglas, Michael Douglas, and a lot of the older HW stars, still have major connections on the Academy’s voting committee - and in fact are on it themselves…it’s just a theory of mine, that Douglas may have used sway in Brad NOT getting in)

That said…back to my wolf analogy ( I love National Geographich channel by the way, LOLOL…and wolves are my absolute favorite animal) — Sooner or later, the scrawny old-timers will have some younger stronger wolf’s teeth in their feeble old necks…and believe me, Brad doesn’t forget sh*t I’m sure…he’s probably patiently waiting and licking his chops.

I took it as the reporter was saying he and Brad laughed. I don’t think Angie was there, but that’s just me. Like I said earlier, I think Brad is referring to his John Smith character and how he did things emotionally with the character that weren’t written for him. I don’t think he was primarily referencing making a LIFE CHOICE to be with Angie, I think he was referencing ACTING with Angie, and it was impossible to mask certain things that he projected onto John Smith.
