Brad Pitt Shirtless in ‘Interview Magazine’
GUH!! In one of the sexiest photoshoots ever, Brad Pitt takes the March 2007 issue of Interview Magazine. Check out the full interview after the jump but here are some great excerpts:
- What movies do your kids want to watch over and over again? [The Adventures of] Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3D [2005] is real popular in our house.
- What do they think about your movies? Oh, they don’t — they’re not really old enough. Got to keep some distance. Though I wonder what their perspective of the world is — go to the store an there are 20 cameras all fighting for a shot. They just think that wherever you go there are these random bands of crazy people with flash photography.
- How do you feel about that? Truthfully, I think it’s really invasive to kids. There ought to be some kind of law.
- Though there’s a good side, too — when you guys go to a place like Darfur, you get the same kind of coverage. Yeah, we drag that spotlight with us.

Quote from Brad’s interview with Interview magazine………
Interviewer: Has it happened before that you were told you made choices that weren’t written into the part?
Brad Pitt: Yeah, Angie. (both laugh) And we’ll let that lie right there.

I loved this part of the interview; because it was very funny!!
Anyone else notice in the introduction to the interview the mention of “THE SITCOM HANDCUFFS”?! Hoo hoo! Talk about hitting the nail on the head :-0
Expecting Brad to make some big public explication of his love for Angelina isn’t his style, would just be twisted into an insincere publicity stunt by the nasties, and has no bearing on his love for Angelina. A picture is worth a thousand words and the way he looks at her tells me EVERYTHING I need to know.

Great post as usual CHQT. “Satisfied?” “Not for years.”
Good night.
Passing Through. I don’t know you, but I think I’m in love. I just laughed so hard. Hard to pick a favorite part.
Gotta go with:
“(Sidebar: The most recent example they can come up with is a 2002 split with her father? What’s so “wild” about that? I wish I had a dime for every child estranged from a parent…except X’s dime. She can keep it. I wouldn’t touch anything of the stupid cow’s. I’d be too afraid to catch a bad case of insecurity and mediocrity.)”
I made the reckless mistake of drinking water while reading this entry. Won’t do THAT again. I just love when you point out how they contradict their own stupid stories. It’s the funny side of my usually very sad observation about our degraded celebrity-drenched culture.
Keep up the good work!

And I enjoyed the Interview interview/pix as well. The ’sitcom handcuffs’?? Somebody’s got a little snark. That is pretty funny.
I also agree with whoever said upstream that for someone not nom’d for an Oscar, he’s everywhere. Guy’s a star. I like that he doesn’t tear others down to make himself seem bigger; he’s not all about the benjamins; he cares about his work. And of course number one for me is that he lurves the missus.
PT good job with the weekly tab summary.
Gung Hay Fat Choi, may the year of Pig brings the Jolie-Pitt family, their fans and JJ&Audrey, HEALTH, LOVE, SAFETY, PEACE, HAPPINESS AND PROSPERITY.
It seems that the storm at the BAMZSville has calmed down, it proves that BA fans are rational intellegent and large-minded people, No matter how divergent our views are, Jolie-Pitt will united us back. That is the beauty of this site.
Last but not least, thank you PT for your fantastic tab report. …Hv a good night!!!
ntt & hunnybunny: Oh, I just HAD to go there - it was just too good of a double entendre to NOT point out! :-) :-)
ntt - Happy Lunar New Year to you too! Have a good sleep. Always nice to see ya here!
So had a good read through the interview and I was really struck by how Brad uses the word ‘intimate’ a couple of times in referencing his life now and knowledge of his self. Many men are afraid to use that word in a conversation about ANYTHING. I was also REALLY interested to hear him talk about becoming more conscious of who he is in the past 5 years. And, saving the best for last, when asked about the changes in his life in the past 2 years: “I always knew it would take this form someday”. Fate, destiny, call it what you will, but Brad and Angelina were meant for each other.
As for choices in movie roles etc. - I was really impressed when he said that he thought he was too old to play the rookie roles in The Departed. How many male actors have the guts and confidence to say THAT! He’s really comfortable with getting older and it’s just one more thing that he and Angelina share in terms of values.
Have a good night all! I look forward to reading everyone’s thoughts about the interview :-)
Any idea why the article is titled “The Great Escape”?
I have not read the first few pages of this thread yet, so if it was discussed already, just ignore my question.
Gung Hay Fat Choi once in a while! Have a good sleep!

Oooh, I saw this question before I signed off for the night and the English Lit. Major in me could probably write a whole essay on that one :-) Off the top of my head I’d say first that it is a great match with the photo shoot - the movie star, off in India, making a movie with his family. As a North American looking at the pictures of Brad in India (esp. the one with the cow on the street) there an ‘exotic escape’ from Hollywood feel to them. Also - note the picture of Brad next to the ’smiley, wrinkly old Yogis” as I call them - and then the great reference made to Houdini in the introduction to the interview. One of Houdini’s first acts was as an “Indian Yogi”.
Second, with Brad’s latest performance in Babel he has ‘escaped’ the expectations that his critics had for his film career and what he is capable of as an actor. More specifically he excelled beyond people’s expectations - taking the role that he took in Babel where the Director wanted to ‘take the shine’ off of him and age him really threw some people for a loop. He has now truly ‘escaped’ the stigma of being just the ‘box’ (pardon the pun) office hunk and really shown his abilities as a character actor who doesn’t have to rely on his looks. (Us fans have seen this in him for a LONG time I might add but now it is indisputable - you don’t get Golden Globe nominations just for being pretty).
Third, the transformation in his personal life over the last few years could certainly be considered an escape - from a life trapped in a “merger” as “The Golden Couple”, in a childless marriage where the physical attraction has fizzled, and where your partner’s insecurities and expectations don’t allow you to explore and grow as an individual. Plenty to escape from there and, while I believe that Brad would have eventually left no matter what, Angelina was certainly a catalyst in the escape. She showed him the potential for what his life could be and should be.
Anyway, that’s my brief take on it for late at night when I should be in bed. I’d be interested to hear other fans’ takes/elaborations on it!
Ok now…..he looks mighty fine in these.
But he looks like he´s been avoiding the Gym for a while……or is it because he is on his back?
Don´t get me wrong, he´s still fit- but the six-pack is missing.
Nice shots.
Many thanks Jared and Audrey for putting up this thread! Brad is gorgeous, the pics are fantastic, and the interview is very good. Brad has never been the one to talk a lot about his personal life. Women tend to talk about their lovelife endlessly, but men not. That’s the difference, and Brad is even more private than most of the men. So it’s not a problem for me that he doesn’t jump on the coach of Oprah proclaiming his love for Angie, lol.
PT, you have outdone yourself, imo this week’s tabloid roundup is one of your best. I’m still laughing, it’s such a relief to read this nonsense with your hilarious comments…
The more appropriate question would be “The Great Escape” from whom???

When the photo shoot was taken in India Brad had already signed up for the Benjamin Button character that he is filming. In the movie he plays a man that starts life old (as in 80) and ages backwards - you can’t go into the role of an 80 year old man all buff and hunky like he was in Troy! He has probably had to intentionally NOT work out for a good year or so, so that he could lose the muscle tone etc. that he normally has. Hope that clears that up :-)

Well I think I already answered that one - LOL. Just check out the third paragraph of my post above!
What an a*sehole. Ands a crap actress……..yes…actress.
He got this cover because Interview assumed he’d be nominated for Babel. He was so ripped off.
He looks fantastic of course but I’m not loving how sexy he’s made smoking look. Very disappointing. If he’s so conscious of the film choices he’ll make in relation to the kids, wouldn’t smoking fall into that too? Whatever.
For me, the most interesting insight to come from this interview is his insistence that Elvis not infer any parallels to his life and that of JJ. He is very aware of what is being written and said about him and his life with her and it bothers him because it’s not true. He’s doing well. They both are as a matter of fact.
Brad looks soooooooooooo HOT!!!!!!!
Love the Jolie-Pitt Family!!!!
Great job Jared/Audrey. Love that Brad. Sexiness is what Brad nowadays.
Fcuk!! the bitchygal ritz is here again. Guys, the devil is on board. Shoo you Mother F
Thanks JJ & Audrey. HOT! Love BAMZS!
He is Hot, hot, hot! Feeling Hot,hot, hot! I hope we can see Angie soon.

The “Great Escape” because despite leaving Aniston, he is more popular than ever, and that he escaped the wrath of the public, he is doing better films and doing better personally with his new family.
If he wasnt Brad Pitt, what he did, the choices he made was actually a career suicide, tahnk God, Aniston was found out to be not that popular enough that the public will just sympathize with her completely. Aniston’s popularity as america’s sweetheart, america’s favrite friend, was grossly overstated.
I will definitely purchase this magazine. I love the pics. Brad & Angelina always gets good shots in any angle.
I agree Virgo, I agree.
