Brad & Angelina Down in New Orleans
Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and their brood — Maddox (pictured), Zahara, and Shiloh – enjoy a walk along the streets of New Orleans over the weekend. The happy couple was spotted by one lucky fan from their balcony!
Here is The Sun’s report (they have pictures too):
Brad Pitt looks every inch the doting dad as he wheels two of his children in a buggy.
Partner Angelina Jolie has her hands full too with two cups of coffee — while adopted daughter Zahara munches away on crisps.
Film hunk Brad, 43, pushed Zahara, two, and nine-month-old baby Shiloh during a family stroll near their £2million home in New Orleans.
Dressed all in black, Fight Club star Brad looked typically trim. Angelina, 31, is still coming to terms with the cancer death of her mum three weeks ago, but put on a brave face.
The couple also have an adopted son, Maddox, five.
And if you were away over the weekend, be sure to check out a shirtless Brad Pitt in Interview Magazine!!
UPDATE :: Added a scan from UK tabloid The Daily Mail.

Now regarding the Academy Awards, I hope Babel kicks some butt. Go Babel!!!!
====================================================
i hope so too. also, don’t know if you kinw Ellen Degeneres said that Brad got snubbed for his role!!! i am sure of it brad got snubbed by the academy. SO WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i wish brad and angie attend the oscar. would be great to see them live and just pix!:) well, it’s cool to see them on pix if that’s all we can have….hehehe
***************************************
Yeah, I read the Ellen comment. Nice. Ebert also thought Brad should have been nominated. I’m still up in the air on whether Brad was truly snubbed or not. Now don’t get me wrong, I believe he deserved a nomination but the voting/nomination process is a weird one. Something like the #1 votes are the ones that only matter. Maybe Brad just did not get enough #1 votes to make it in the top 5. The same is true for Jack Nicholson and Michael Sheen. Supporting Actor was one of the deepest of recent years. I’m still proud of him though. He really stretched himself in Babel and he’s showing them what he’s got on the production side.
I don’t think Brad and Angie will attend the oscars but the last couple years has taught me to never think I have them pegged. We may just see them walking the red carpet a week from now and you’ll all “hear” my trademark “Sweet Fancy Moses!”
———————————-
I believe Brad was indeed snubbed. If Ellen D., who is the host this year, is actually saying that publicly, it’s most likely true as I suspected from the get-go. I know as host, she in particular is especially miffed because this is her first time hosting the Oscars - and she would have liked her hosting job at the Oscars ‘07 to have been blessed with the ratings bonanza that The GOLDEN GLOBES were this year (and we all KNOW why that was…one word - ‘BRANGELINA’).
Let’s look at the facts - these are the nominees:
Mark Wahlberg - The Departed
Jackie Earle Haley - Little Children
Alan Arkin - Little Miss Sunshine
Eddie Murphy - Dream Girls
Djimon Hounsou - Blood Diamond
All you have to do is ask yourself, if any one of these actors (save Eddie Murphy and his extremely huge ‘comeback & hype’ campaign) had NOT been nominated would there be the buzz, whispers and ’snubbed’ commentary that Brad’s omission inspired?? In my opinion, NO. That is the definition then of a snub. Brad was EXPECTED by most people in the industry to get a nomination - and he did not. The critics had weighed in, the Golden Globes as well — he simply had one of the more talked about film performances this year, but MORE than that, ‘Brad Pitt’ PUT Babel on the map. Starting in Toronto, the film garnered publicity up the wazoo as it was Brad’s FIRST appearance promoting his work as a new family man. People were interested in ‘Babel,’ because his performance was so praised, he got them INTO the theater - and then from there the rest of the largely unknown and international cast showed what they had to offer. I would have thought, on that basis ALONE, for carrying that wonderful piece of work on HIS back and getting it SEEN, he would have been acknowledged. I have no doubt that the director should he have an opp to get up on that stage at some point, will make it known, how instrumental Brad was. No other supporting actor, not only delivered a performance, but single-handedly brought the NOW Oscar nominated film to the attention of the masses and even the Academy voters who put it into contention! THAT, is the true irony. The Academy voters acknowledge the greatness of this small film, and how moving it is, and don’t even throw Brad a bone for getting it there!
When you think about it - and examine it in it’s entirety, it feels like a deliberate snub. Hollywood insiders know exactly what this is, and where it might stem from - we however, can only guess.
Not one to shy away from a conspiracy theory, I’ve already aired my views about the Douglas clan (Kirk and Michael) who I am almost positive sit on the Academy board and are chums with a lot of the other members who are ALSO old Hollywood fogies - it’s no secret they (and others) lobby each other to obtain the desired result. CZJ gets an Oscar nod and WINS an Oscar in large part because of lobbying, ditto the very well-connected Harvey Weinstein’s former girlfriend - oops I mean ‘princess’ Gwyneth Paltrow..that was a very big scandal at the time if you recall - with people claiming the Weinsteins had ‘bought’ Gwyneth, a player in their Miramax ’stable’ and Oscar…and yet, Brad Pitt - Oscar nominated previously in 1995, and a big player in the Industry, though maybe sans the connections on the actual board, doesn’t even get a nod?? Could Douglas’ nasty snarky comment re Brad & Angie indicate bad blood? Could the O13 snub of Catherine (in return?) have anything to do with it? Jealousy, Envy? Could the fact that some of these members think Brad might be suffering from an embarrasment of riches (Angelina, babies, producing the hottest movies around and starring in them, i.e., Babel and The Departed), and in the wake of shaking off the sad and desperate sounding sit-com hack, could it be that they didn’t want to add to those riches by giving him an Oscar nod and/or Oscar too?! That’s part of it also, I’m sure. So, yes. Snub City.
This is an interesting article…..(see important parts in bold)
Who Votes For the Academy Awards
By Mr. Coburn
Q: Who votes for the Academy Awards?
A: Members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Q: How do you get to be a member?
A: Only the Board of Governors can invite new members and membership is limited to those who have achieved distinction in the arts and sciences of motion pictures. Some of the criteria for admittance are: film credits of a caliber which reflect the high standards of the Academy, receipt of an Academy Award nomination, achievement of unique distinction, earning of special merit, or making of an outstanding contribution to film.
Q: So, is it just actors and directors?
A: There are 13 branches represented in membership–Actors, Art Directors, Cinematographers, Directors, Executives, Film Editors, Music, Producers, Public Relations, Short Films and Feature Animation, Sound, Visual Effects and Writers.
Q: How do you get to be a member?
A: A candidate must be sponsored by at least two members of the branch for which the person may qualify. Proposed members must first receive a favorable endorsement from the appropriate branch executive committee before his or her name is submitted to the Board of Governors. So, actors nominate actors, directors nominate directors, writers nominate writers, etc., but members from all 13 branches get to vote for the awards.
Q: How come my favorite movies never get nominated?
A: The Academy demographic skews old. That means many of the members have been adults for a long time. That’s to be expected since it takes many years of consistent accomplishment to acheive recognition. Lots of young people have won “Oscars” but that does not necessarily mean that they’ve made an impact in the industry. Some of those who vote haven’t had anything do with the business for forty years. That might be why you’re apt to see old-fashioned movies win over more modern themed movies.
———————
I repeat some of these old fogies voting are like fans of Kirk Douglas and old pals of long since dead Hollywood types, they’re the same drama queens who would be at home re-living Sunset Blvd (’I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille’)…in THAT regard, they too are awash in all the gossip about ‘Brangelina,’ they read the rags too, and may just believe all that crap - they might think they don’t want to reward a guy for ‘having an affair’ - yeah, sure…a lot of this could come back to Maniston as well…hey - when you’ve been retired for 35 years and are still an HW drama queen like I’m sure many of these Academy members ARE…what else do you do but steep yourself in HW tabloid fiction? So all of these things factor in.
That said, I really do believe Brad and Angie are playing it so cool, and so correct — that ultimately, if the few reviews re AOJJ are to be believed, Brad could get a make-up Oscar nod next year -especially if the critics drumbeat is too loud for the old fogie members to ignore.
As for whether or not they’ll appear??
I think they will not. I was up in the air about it, until I heard Tomkat had been booked. That sealed the deal. The Oscar broadcast is desperately resorting to whatever hype gimmicks they can to MAKE FOR THE FACT THAT ‘BRANGELINA’ WILL NOT BE THERE. Hell, they’ll probably invite ‘Britney Shears,’ and Howard K. Stern next. LOL!
You see, IF Brad & Ange had indeed been booked to do the show…there would be NO WAY Tom Cruise would show up, to get shown up and to see Brad soak up all that glory, and Angelina inspire awe on the red carpet (Tom could take it in the days of old when Brad was with the tv sit-com hack - afterall, HE had Nicole Kidman on his arm…and Brad had, well…let’s face it, Dustin Hoffman Jr from TV sit-com hell…but now, Brad has the most beautiful woman in the world on his arm…and Tom’s a very competitive guy…he wants what Brad has…hell, I even think his envy led to his ridiculousness on Oprah…he saw the ‘Brangelina’ media explosion coming and wanted to top it with his ‘HEY LOOK AT ME, don’t look at ‘Brangelina’ - I’m COOKOO for Katie campaign’)….and ESPECIALLY now that Tom C. is farther away from Oscar than he’s ever been in life (I mean look at dude, he’s now making movies with Ben Stiller, like Maniston was…let’s just say an Oscar is not exactly on Tom C’s horizon)…the fact that Brad & Angelina will NOT be there, is WHY Tom WILL be. Heck I’m sure Katie is starving herself, refining her nose, and trying to sex it up (give it up) in preparation…they’ll want to outdo Brad & Angie’s GGs (get ready for the onslaught of the Tomkat smooching on the red carpet imitating Brangie).
It really nauseates me, knowing that Brad & Angelina should be there next Sunday, and instead we’ll have to put up with two fake fools who have nothing to do with the Oscars, much like we did with the TV sit-com hack getting a sympathy invite last year.
There’s an outside chance, Brad may either go on his own, not do red carpet but slip in through a back door, intro the film for Innaritu and leave (similar to what Cruise did the year Nicole was Oscar nominated)…or perhaps he and Angie both will go to a Babel party to celebrate, but that’s it.
These are very slim options.

Obsessing over what kids eat is pointless. You do the best you can, give them guidelines, and then let it go. Otherwise food becomes an obsession with them as well as a battleground for both of you. And if you deny them certain things, the minute they are out of your sight and supervision, sure as **** they’ll be eating the forbidden food.
Don’t find their parents all that they’re hyped up to be (as in, don’t find them to be OMGTHEHOTTESTCOUPLEEVAR!!!!), but they’re nice parents. Those kids are darn cute. Zahara seems like a very spunky gal. Shiloh is so very white (nothing to do with race; she just…is). Cute, again.
I can’t find it on People’s website, anyone know what it is under?
Ok I can’t belive the Pitt’s let that mag in their home to spread their kids all over the tabs again. I thought they wanted their privacy?
All children are beautiful so would all feel the same if Jennifer Aniston had a baby? Reviewing some of the posts. Shi was so cute and beautiful but Mad and Z were getting big, grown up, mature etc.
To WTF:
They are beautiful pics and I for one am very happy that they let us see their beautiful world.
Good Lord these must have cost People a bundle.
People is the magazine of record for celebrities. It’s not a tabloid. A tabloid MAKES UP LIES about celebs.
These photos are really beautiful.

#92 I don’t know why anyone would think that JA is going to be a good parent . She has never demonstrated a maternal show even when doing staged photoshoots with **. Jude . What lessons will she teach a child ? How to tan ? How to go to spas ? How to be a really good dresser ? How to have good hair stylists ? How to have pity parties ? How to make sucky movies ? How to be totally selfish ? What’s with the worst lesson of all - how to adopt only American children ? If One really wants a child I would hope it was to preovide a home for a neeedy child irregardless of their nationality ,or ethnicity . I don’t feel she has a pure thought approaching an adoption .

Angelina changed after becoming a mother and realized her faults and started a new way of thinking, how come Jennifer cannot? Just curious?
#193- They would probably just come back with a different screen name, unless JJ can block their IP addy. I figure I’ll just treat them like childern who misbehave. Don’t acknowledge their behavior and eventually they give up. As long as people reply to their post that gives them something to feed off of.

I don’t know if K. Douglas would be that petty; after all, he was denied an acting Oscar, although he did get a Lifetime Achievement Oscar. And since O13 is mainly Clooney’s baby, wouldn’t their anger have been reflected last year when Clooney was up for a BSA? Sentimentality toward his late aunt Rosemary… that’s doubtful!
Anyway, if tab headlines came into play, it’s a d@mn shame considering the extramarital shenanigans that both Kirk and Michael committed. And considering how liberal these two once were, especially when it came to the Red List of the 40s and 50s, it would seem unbelievably hypocritical to blacklist Brad for such a ridiculous reason.
But then again, there were reports of snubbing Brokeback Mountain, despite many of the older male voters being practicing bisexuals during their youth.
So basically some posters who think they are funny decided to hijack CLINIQUA’s name and someone else’s name and lie about pictures? Damn, and I fell for it.
People there are NO PHOTOS!This is a childish prank by some troll!Do you really think Brad would allow the inside of his home photograghed for People magazine? He allowed the Los Feliz house to be shot, but remember he wasn’t living in it at the time!
Oh, this People mag spread can be a hoax. Whatever.
Cliniqua, your long analyis has been interesting, but i hope this time you are partly wrong (in reference to their attending the Oscars or not), lol. I would love to see them there.
