Katharine McPhee Hosts TRL

Katharine McPhee can now add VJ to her growing resume. The former American Idol co-hosted TRL this afternoon and will continue to do so for the rest of the week.

Something about this outfit rubs me the wrong way but I can’t put my finger on it? The shapeless dress? The boots? Ah well, Katharine still looks pretty –

Katharine’s music video for “Over It” will premiere on TRL this Friday, Feb. 23. And she’ll make an appearance on The Tyra Banks Show on Tuesday, Feb. 27. Looking forward to it!

damn, this girl is beautiful! I wonder if she’s going to make it to people’s 50 most beautiful.

right now she’s in a good shape. But I think she’s the kind of girl that still beautiful even if she put up a little weight.

She a real natural beauty, she reminds me of an intelligent, more grounded, Katie Holmes. (without the brainwashing). I hope the entertainment industry does not eat her up and spit her out in a few years.

Word of advice to Katharine- Be chosey, don’t hook up with the first backup dancer that smiles at you, stay away from Lohan and Hilton, and stay off of the drugs!

I was going to say it’s the shoulders, too. I’ve always noticed that she has big shoulders and if that dress has shoulder pads in it, wow. She should know not to wear, or at least get tailored, any clothes with that thick of a shoulder pad. With or without them, the dress which is totally covered on the top (no neckline/skin/shoulder showing), combined with it being short and showing off narrow legs (made worse by high boots) completely overpowers her and there’s no balance from head to toe. The bottom half of her looks long and lean, so with her larger shoulders and the style of dress, she looks bulkier on top. And it’s a blunt move from upper to lower half, particularly because of where that dress ends, no defined waist, etc. ETC.

I can’t believe I’ve just sat here and analyzed her fashion in this much detail.

In terms of the music, I really like “Love Story” and “Not Your (Ur?) Girl” better than her current single.

Ahh who cares about the dress she could wear a paper bag and I would still say wow that girl is absolutely gorgeous. She seems so sweet and classy as well. I really hope she holds on that.
