Brad & Angelina’s Vietnam Adoption
US Weekly is reporting that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have filed paperwork with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration services to adopt a boy from the Tam Binh orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Brad and Angie spent Thanksgiving in Vietnam back in November 2006.
The couple have three children — Maddox, 5, Zahara, 2, and Shiloh, 9 months.
Maddox was born in Cambodia, Zahara was born in Ethiopia, and baby Shiloh was born in Namibia.

US didn’t even bother to edit the lainey info from over a month ago. All they did was add what they said were Vietnam’s adoption regulations, and who knows if and how accurate US was. Said in one part of the article that only Angelina’s name’s would appear on the paperwork as a single woman, but then said in another part of the article that Angelina and Brad had put in the paperwork jointly. Some counties allow both single women and single men and married couples to adopt. Other countries impose age limitations on adoptive parents. I do not know what the rules are in Vietnam. Angelina and Brad have always managed to surprise so we will see. Wasn’t US the tab that said Zahara was a boy?
Thanks Jared but I will that a wait and see attitude. All these rags just repeat the same thing over and over. We all know that Angie and Brad have said they will adopt again so to me there is nothing to report.

If true, congratulations to them. Not really buying any tabloid speak though so we’ll see. If true, by the time the new child is brought into their home their youngest will be a year old. Sounds about right (at least a year apart if they want a big family). Good for them!

If they really will adop a kid soon, I wish they can adop a bit older one. Having all the kids under or around 5 is going to be tough. I’d like to see they spend time with each other as much as with the kids. More quality time they can share between themselves, longer they can commit to each other, being a couple and beat out the usual breakup time frame in Hollyweird, then better for their children, no matter how many kids they desire to have. Isn’t it? I really wish their love can stay and last long long time. But raising kids, especially so many young kids at the same time, it’s tough and will bring a lot pressure.
I just wish the best for Angelina, Brad and their family.

She’s a compulsive child collector. Adoption and having children is nice but she talks and goes about it like she is collecting shoes or more nicely pets. I guess she decided another Asian boy was the right race and gender to shop for to add to her collection. Now she will have another prop to shove in front of the cameras to get herself media attention as “Saint Angelina.” I just wish she, idiot fratboy Pitt and their rainbow troupe would go away. I agree with the rest of you about the validity of any story coming from US Weekly. They have a horrible track record. But I could believe Brad & Angie adopting a Vietnamese boy based on what Angie told Diane Sawyer back in December ‘06. She said she and Brad wanted to carefully consider what would be best for the kids. So…having a brother for Mad of the same ethnicity wouldn’t be too unbelievable to me. I guess we’ll find out what’s the truth in a few months.
I’m REALLY glad to be out of the other hellacious ‘Brad and Angei Keeping it Together’ thread, believe me…but since when has US Magazine become the arbiter of TRUTH.
This is the same rag, that started the whole ‘Angelina has fallen from grace because Ryan Seacrest said she was mean at the GG’s and because she called her daughter a blob, and humiliated Maniston in Vogue and other kitchen sink items. US started that whole ball rolling - yet now we’re linking and posting their lies? This week they’re saying Angelina is suffering from depression and is almost anorexic and that Brad doesn’t know what to do to help. This is who we want to drive traffic to now? Janice Min and US - yeah, they’ve been so supportive of this family.
I’m not going to get too upset, because as rumors go, it’s a positive one - and Lord knows, it’s still better than excerpting some negative rag that says Brad and Ange are working through their problems and issues in counseling…but at the end of the day, it is US Ragazine.
They don’t know sh*t.
Brad and Angie have said they would adopt ‘next,’ shortly after Shiloh got here. Brad has been shouting that they were going for a soccer team this entire year. So we already know what’s coming of course - we just don’t know when exactly. It’s not that big a leap to assume they want a little boy close to Mad’s age, nor is it a leap that the child will be asian, I think that’s important to them for Mad - Angie talked about that at length too. So all these rags have to do is keep printing adoption stories and sooner or later they’re bound to be right, just based on what Brad and Angelina have already said themselves.

Wonderful news if true. This child would surely be blessed to become part of this amazing, loving, and beautiful family. IMO it’s better to have the children close in age as they all enjoy growing up together. Coming from a family of 9, and my own 3 being close in age, I say “go for it Brad and Angie!”

The sexy actor revealed at the Palm Springs International Film Festival that he and Jolie are planning on expanding their brood, adding adopted and biological brothers and sisters for their three young children.

When and if BP and AJ adopt or announce a pregnancy, it won’t come via US weekly but rather People Magazine. US weekly is putting together rumors, sources and clues to stay “in the know” in regards to the Jolie-Pitts. They may be on the right track, but it is not by some first hand knowledge.
US Weekly pretended to have this exclusive about BAMZS relocating to New Orleans when the whole Internet knew. You got to love these tabs. BP and AJ have practically banned them from any news or press event, yet they pretend to have this deep connection with them. US weeky pretty much spearheaded the so called backlash towards AJ, now they are trying to play nicey nice, until the next attack. Whatever. Maybe they should go back to their plastic surgery stories and non-breakup/engagement stories regarding a famous Ex. At least they got those stories somewhat right. In other words, it sounds good - but AJ and BP didn’t say those quotes as written. Where’s that article from anyway? It’s chopped up and a mish-mash, they’ve changed the quotes around that Brad and Angie did say, for instance, Angelina never said the following:

Just thinking-There was that blurb in the NTDaily News that Brad and Angelina went shopping in NOLA and spendt $6000 in John Goodman’s wife’s upscale children’s store on furniture (all children’s stuff). I know, take that with a grain of salt, but I do remember stories that Angelina had gone shopping in London for baby stuff about a month or so before they got Zee (all the rumors were that she was pregnant). So if Lainey’s info (that was copied by US) is somewhat accurate and a timeline of 5 months or so is correct as Lainey said that Angelina and Brad did not request any special treatment adoption wise, a new Jolie-Pitt may show up around Shiloh’s first birthday. Notice that I said MAY, because these two are full of surprises. This is why the tabs are so frustrated with them because who knows what they might do.

In regards to that trip to Vietnam – Angelina took Maddox for a series of meetings about the Maddox Chivan Project last week and although they’ve “officially” denied initiating adoption proceedings, I’ve received a couple of (as yet unconfirmed) tips from new sources there who insist that paperwork was indeed submitted and filed with the US Consulate in HCM City for a fourth child that the Pitts supposedly met and fell in love with during their trip to the country together several week ago. For what it’s worth, said sources claim that they saw the documents with their very own eyes and that the process should be complete before summer – standard procedure they say and notable because they apparently all expected the Hollywood Pitts to ask for exceptions and were stunned when they didn’t.
As I said before, still working to lock this down, let you know when I do.

lainey’s article was dated 1/25/07, today is 2/22/07. it’s a month, and as of now, lainey still has NOTconfirmed the sources. does it take that long to confirm.?
my take on this —brad and angie made no secret to adopt. we all knew they visited the viet nam and indian orphanage. they did not visit panama nor costa rica orphanage when they were there. we know india is harder to adopt because i think you have to live in india for a couple years. therefore, it is reasonable to assume the adoption place must be viet nam. Any detective will say the same thing.
So for lainey, all she has to do is STAKE HER CLAIM early (claiming an adption is going on) even she has no confirmed sources. she is hoping may be as time goes on, more data will surface, and when the final adoption comes in, she will gloat about it.
WHY IS IT THAT SHE STILL HASNT BEEN ABLE TO LOCK DOWN HER SOURCE???? it is almost a month already.

A few paps will show up in other places like NOLA for special events like Mardi G but otherwise they are few and far between. Paps can’t make a living off just a few pixs every once in a while.

Well, damn! I had 2 go out so I set my VCR 2 tape Oprah’s pre-Oscar show & of course the worst thing happened… Came home ready to watch & discovered the tape had broken! Don’t know how it happened… Oh well, I can’t do anything except read through the posts here to find out what happened. I really would have liked to see GC’s face when Brad 1-upped GC’s “…you looked great when you did not win at the GG.” with the “plastic surgery so good it doesn’t show” comment. Those 2 are such joker’s with each other that it kinda reminds me some classic (Dean) Martin & (Jerry) Lewis routines.
I hope someone taped the segment & will create a YouTube video. Of course, that won’t help me since Google bought YouTube, I can’t download vids I like or use links posted 2 view them. Life in the Big Easy has had its challenges for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt since they moved to New Orleans in January. Ever since Jolie’s mother, actress Marcheline Bertrand, died of cancer last month, the star just hasn’t been the same, sources say.
Jolie’s emotional distress has resulted in a noticeable weight loss. The 5-foot-8 star now weighs 109 pounds, says a source close to the couple. “She isn’t eating.”
Jolie, 31, is also “very lonely and desperate to make new friends,” the source tells Us.
For now, she has been importing a support system by flying in old childhood friends from LA.
The source adds: “Brad has been worried about her day and night. She has been under so much stress, and Brad is trying to be understanding.”

I tend to believe the adoption story, Shiloh will be 1 in a few months and they may even adopt an older child. It makes sense since they were there and didn’t Angie go back on her own recently? Or was that false? I can’t keep up lately.

I think this rumor is true. I have friends who were at this orphanage picking up their little guy just last month. No one saw Brad and Angie, but the facilitators talk amongst themselves (this orphanage works with a lot of agencies) and the rumor was all abuzz. I didn’t say anything here because every time you adopt you don’t want to make it a big deal until it is FINISHED, cuz so much can go wrong or get delayed. Look at the media circus that was Madge and David. Adoption gods, please make it go fast for them and please don’t let anyone find out when they are traveling to get their new boy!!!

I thought it was already understood around here that tabloid stories don’t count for anything, yet we still have to keep reminding and educating people who insist on copying and posting them here.
NEWS FLASH for those of you jumping on the bandwagon: This is a tabloid story.
Most of us have the good sense not to believe these fictitous plays that were born in some dingy office cubicle in LA.
And that goes for the “too skinny” stories and the “relationship problems” stories, too. There is no evidence that these two are any more than happy and content with the life they have made for themselves. Their children look happy and well-taken care of. They are just going about the normal business of being a family. There is no scandalous dramatic story for tabs to feed off, so they make up stuff or “predict” stuff based on things that are already public domain.
Tabs know that if they keep predicting that Brad and Angie are adopting sooner or later they will get it right, because B&A have both said they will adopt again. Then they can blow their own horn and tout how they were “right”. Forget that they got it wrong about 764 times before, that doesn’t matter, lol!
The biggest eyerollers here are the stupid people who are already condemning them for adopting too soon, saying their relationship can’t handle it, etc… PUH-LEEZE!! haha!! Angie said out of her own mouth in December that another adoption “wouldn’t be any time soon”, but jeez, I guess that doesn’t matter since that paragon of journalism US Magazine said it was so, it must be true, right?

US Weekly is a month late to report the “news”.
This rumor started about a month ago when Angie went to Vietnam for a meeting on behalf of the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Project and the Vietnam papers assumed that she was there to do paper work for a new adoption.
People mag putted a retraction and said that Angie wasn’t there for another adoption.
Both Brad and Angie have stated in their interviews that they will certainly expand their family and they will adopt next but they have never specified when and from what place. And even if they are really about to adopt there is no chance in hell that we would have heard anything about it until the child was already adopted. Just like we didn’t know anything about Z until she was already adopted. So nobody is able to know anything let alone Us Weekly. So everybody is free to speculate anything since they don’t know anything.
Until I hear a statement of them or a confirmation from People mag I will not hold my breath.
My guess is that they will fill for another adoption after Shiloh will be one year old. Right now Brad is filming a movie witch is having three more months of shooting at least. I think that they will prefer to do it after the end of the filming so they will have the time to look at the details and organise everything carefully. And I also think that their next child will be a boy.
But whatever they will decide to do at the end more power to them.
Hi all - I just wanted to say that Maddox goes to school with my son, and AJ picks him up HERSELF. She doesn’t just send someone out to do it. I bumped into her in the hall last week and she was heading for the kindergarten door, just like everyone else. She had one, very very nice man with her who didn’t look or act like a bodyguard at all. We in New Orleans wish them the best.

Poor Brad wouldn’t be stuck with his kids. He is a parent and as a father I don’t think he would feel stuck with his children. They are his he would raise them just like any other single parent. To flip this if something happened to Brad as of now Angie would have 3 children to raise as a single mother and she would raise them just like a host of other single parents do. Why is Shiloh not a problem but the rest would be? I don’t understand that comment. Shiloh is a child and so are Mad and Z. I don’t get how Shiloh would be some type of exception.

Steven Speilberg and his wife Kate have a LOT of children. In fact when she was pregnant they adopted a baby, so she had 2 babies at once. She says when Steven is filming they pack up the family and go. It isn’t a foreign thing. Children need love and the experience of seeing the world can be a good one. My husband is military, I don’t see how the moving around is any different than what millions of military families do everyday.

I don’t know that much about how Maddox likes his class, but he has a REALLY cool teacher that all of the other boys in the school love. My son and Maddox know each other, because they have P.E., and choir…and something else together everyday and that is all I know. He didn’t get to come to the school Mardi Gras parade last week, but I can see why Brad and Angie wouldn’t want to come and stand in a crowd of parents like that. It is a beautiful little school, and we just hope that they stay.

Jennifer - I agree, I wouldn’t put yourself in any situation to answer questions like that from anyone. As much as we would all love to grill you for details, they deserve their privacy just like everyone else.
And to all those who say that its too early for Brad & Angie to adopt, you don’t know what the heck you are talking about and must not have any kids of your own.
Anyone who does knows that its better to stay in the thick of it (diapers and all the stuff that comes along with little ones) while you are in it and living it. Mine are tweens now and I couldn’t even begin to imagine going back to changing diapers and all that stuff once you are so far removed from it. So it stands to reason that if they are planning to have a certain number of kids, then its not unusual to have them close together. They certainly wouldn’t be the first couple to have four kids 5 and under and they won’t be the last. We don’t even know if they would perhaps adopt an older child. Z will probably start getting potty trained if she hasn’t already and then they would have Shiloh and a new baby in diapers which makes things a little easier.
Everyone who is so critical and judgemental forgets, they are not so different from anyone else who wants/has a large family, except for the fact that they can afford to have the kind of help that allows them to have a big family, whereas many do not. Angie freely admitted that on AC 360 when she was on. But it also goes to show what great parents they must be in that they can afford to have help, yet we see them out doing things with their kids all the time. It’s obvious to any bozo that family and their kids come first (unlike some celeb parents we see).
Anyway - it just proves that the haters will be haters just because and will pick at anything just because it gives them some kind of freakish satisfaction. The rest of us know better and again - I implore us all to just IGNORE.

I have always thought their next adoption would be from Namibia so all four children would have a common bond. I don’t know the adoption laws in Namibia, though, so maybe it isn’t even a possibility. They are supposedly heading back there maybe later in the year, according to some reports.

I am hoping there are some posters on here who are knowledgable about red carpet protocol and can fill those of us in (like me) who are clueless lol. I am guessing that if you are nominated for an award you are expected to stop and talk to all the entertainment shows and give them an interview. It just seems like this would be part of your job as being nominated. I’m not sure, though, if you are a presenter or just there to support a movie if this is still expected of you, or can you come in the back door, so to speak, and just avoid the red carpet and interviews all together. Just curious in case Brad or Brad/Angie show up. :)

I will try my best to answer your question. If you are nominated you are “expected” to walk the red carpert”, but you don’t have to . You can decide whatever you want, but yes, the media and fans expect it. However, anyone going can walk the red carpet. Alot of BIG stars just decide to not walk it and go in another way, but it usually dissapoints the fans and the studio they woek with. As you have seen , the Red carpet can be a non-stop nightmare. I think BP will go to the Oscars but not AJ and he will jsut sneek in. IMO

I bumped into her in the hall last week and she was heading for the kindergarten door, just like everyone else. I just have a gut instinct that anyone who might really be in a situation to have their child in school with Maddox would not want to compromise Maddox’s and certainly not their own child’s safety by posting information on an open blog. There are some sick freaks out there, and of course information here can be viewed by anybody. The school wants to ensure the safety of all the children, and I can’t see one of the parents in that community taking the risk of paps showing up hiding in the bushes like what happened in LA at Maddox’s school there. Earlier in the segment, George Clooney had jokingly said that he (George) had his eyes done…..and he proceeded to open his eyes wide as to bring attention to them. Brad was referring to this plastic surgery, when he says that you really can’t tell. We don’t know if Clooney was joking, and Pitt went along with it, or if it is really true. These two joke on each other….Brad joked on Clooney on the GG red carpet w/ Shaun Robinson, causing Angie to laugh.
I think folks are mad that Brad & Angie are enlarging their family because with each child it means they are more solid as a family. The tabs originally wrote these two as a fling that wouldn’t last and now some two years and three kids late the haters are still thinking this.

oh, oprah is the richest in the entertainment business and she can do whatever she wants just about! i don’t think what we say or do is going to scratch her a bit. she definitely has done good stuff, especially for africa. i wish oprah would not just focus on africa only, but also lend a helping hand to other third-world countries. i think that is why i am more for angie as she not only focus on africa, but she sees the need to help other countries as well. i mean, everywhere help is needed and not just africa. oprah can’t save the whole africa and angie can’t help every countries, but both should spread the help everywhere, which angie is doing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sort of agree w/ you…..somewhat that Oprah is okay. I believe she’s trying to pave the way for Brad to eventually make an appearance on her show. Whether it will be with a studio audience or a sit down…..we can’t rule it out. Oprah has sent out a few olive branches….she spoke approvingly of Brad & Angelina adopting children, and their family being a “little united nations” reflecting the world, and now last nights phone call from Brad on her Oscar show segment.
Oprah is a business woman who is well aware of the growing powerful clout that Brad & his company Plan B are playing in the Hollywood landscape. She has no choice but to open her eyes and see what is real……Brad & Angelina are the real deal…

I am not implying you are liar at all. If you have lurked here long, then I am sure you understand the dangers of any of us being too naive and gullible. It’s been a long two years of caca we have had to deal with, so it’s not personal, no offense.
If I had such a secret, I admit I would have a hard time keeping it as well, and I totally understand the need to tell it.

i can’t believe people buy that oprah is friends with jen, there is a big difference between being friendly with someone and actually being friends. So she had her over her house and scored an interview, it’s the entertainment business and jen was in high demand. I think it sounds like a great idea in theory, but Oprah does have a precedent for being a bit snarky about Angie and Brad. I would hope Oprah wouldn’t use it as a chance to be less than kind to Angie.
I hope Angie stays clear of Oprah and her target audience, who, for the most part, are tab readers that don’t “get” Angie. Angie has many other outlets for promoting projects.

Speculation on gossip blogs centered on Aniston, who indeed had plastic surgery, allegedly to repair a deviated septum, last month.
Shortly after the item was published, an editor at the Enquirer contacted “Gatecrasher” writer Ben Widdicombe, asking for help getting in touch with his tipster. The editor offered to pay Widdicombe’s source $20,000 if she would take a lie detector test, which the Enquirer often demands to protect itself from libel suits. Widdicombe, who declined to comment when called by Radar, passed along the request to the source, said to be a friend of Aniston’s. It appears the friend rejected the deal.
Of course, none of this means that Aniston is some kind of gak monkey or that she has ever used illegal drugs, only that the Enquirer would like very much to speak with anyone willing to testify that she has. Asked about the offer, an Enquirer spokesman says, “The Enquirer would never comment on any pending or planning editorial ever. As far as this goes, I have no knowledge of it.”

Brad and Oprah are both smart business people, they both pave the way for Angie to promote AMH on Oprah. VietNamNet Bridge - “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” have sent documents to the Immigration and Naturalization Services for the adoption of a boy at Tam Binh Orphanage (HCM city) which the couple visited in November, 2006.
Angelina and Brad want to adopt a child at 3 or 4 years of age. There are many procedures the couple must go through before being able to take the child home. Contacting the American INS is just the first step.
Mr. Vu Duc Long, head of the Bureau of International Adopted Children (the Ministry of Justice), said that the famous Hollywood lovebirds had started the adoption process in the U.S and hadn’t contacted responsible authorities in Vietnam. And Mr. Nguyen Van Trung, director of Tam Binh Orphanage, said that he was waiting for any direction from the Ministry of Justice as well as HCM city Department of Justice.
Ms. Jolie used to say that she wanted to have a multi-racial family. She has a 5-year old Cambodian child named Maddox, and a 2-year old Ethiopian one called Zahara. And the 9-month old Shiloh has both the American and Namibian citizenships.

Kelly, where Oprah chooses to help or where her heart belongs in helping out, whether in Africa or other parts of the world or in the US, doesn’t change the fact that she’s got kind a heart. And, that’s she’s willing to give back the gifts she’s gifted! Yes, she can do whatever she wants with her money$. A lot of you here are probably fans of Oprah, but I believe in expressing my opinions. I must admit that I am more inspired by Angie than I am with Oprah cuz I can relate to the mainstream and international help like Angie. Everywhere in the world needs help, not just Africa! Kelly, where Oprah chooses to help or where her heart belongs in helping out, whether in Africa or other parts of the world or in the US, doesn’t change the fact that she’s got kind a heart. And, that’s she’s willing to give back the gifts she’s gifted! Yes, she can do whatever she wants with her money$. A lot of you here are probably fans of Oprah, but I believe in expressing my opinions. I must admit that I am more inspired by Angie than I am with Oprah cuz I can relate to the mainstream and international help like Angie. Everywhere in the world needs help, not just Africa! Angie knows that everywhere needs help and she’s willing to help out everywhere she possibly can help. That’s truly amazing and inspiring to me even if she can only help a bit here and there and even she doesn’t the money$ whereas as Oprah has!!! Angie’s passion is not just in Africa, but other countries and in America. Another words, Angie gives HOPES and DREAMS to kids and families not just in Africa, but everywhere!!! Oprah on the other hand, I do feel that her heart only belongs in Africa and I have heard several occassions that she has strongly suggested other celebrities to adopt kids from Africa cuz that is where the help is mostly needed. I disagree with Oprah on that and when she only suggested the idea of Africa, I think it’s a close dreams and hopes for kids that aren’t from Africa. But, of course other celebrities don’t have to do what she message out. I’ve also heard rumors (not sure of true or false) that Oprah has made a comment that she doesn’t want to have a “united nations” family like Brad and Angie. In my opinion, that is not her call what kind of a family Brad and Angie to have!!! However, that DOES NOT make Oprah a bad person or a better person. It’s just a matter of whose work and ideas I am more inspired by!!!!!!!

I respect Oprah and Angelina both. The funny thing is i am not a big oprah fan, i find her annoying sometimes, even still I admire her as a black woman who came up from abuse, started her career in baltimore, taking over television, and doing great work. I have no problem with people who don’t like her. so what, she doesn’t need me to defend her ne way. I’m just saying that i really don’t understand why some BA fans don’t like her recently for siding with Jen, I just don’t see the reasoning. ne way onto her causes. I don’t see any problem with her support of Africa, Africa in some countries is pretty jacked up and i am glad more attention is being focused there; but people will find if the dig alittle deeper beyond the coverage of the south african school that oprah is involved in lots of other endeavors.
Really my only point is that I don’t understand all of this Oprah is captain of team aniston crap that originated from low leval media like star to create something out of nothing because i don’t think oprah is really all that invested in the lives of brand angelina and jen.
the only comment that i heard from o about family is that she is not getting married and she doesn’t want kids because she can do more for a bunch of kids like the school

So I don’t think we should pay attention to another accusation even if it’s in connection with the __. But my personal opinion is that she does some kind of drugs. I’m sure the truth will come out about her, she has many skeletons.
AS for that hilarious AP-report, I don’t believe it either. Where is the link to the source? Or is it a joke? Not a bad one really.

Just popping in briefly to say . . . (thanks for the heads-up from someone who posted both Brad and Angie’s movie schedule earlier this week) . . . i am half-watching 12 Monkeys now on USA (began about 3p EST). I know i’ve seen snippets of this movie before but definitely not since Brad and Angie got together and i am just tickled that long before they got together, they both did a movie in which they played mentally ill patients (Angie = Girl Interrupted / Brad = 12 Monkeys).
Its just destiny, y’all. These two kindred spirits are not only great at their craft, they both show the same desire to push the envelope to discover all the facets of their ability as actors. Ya gotta love them. Can you imagine the fun they have as a couple, as lovers, as parents, as two explorers on this journey called life!

Hello everyone! Been out of commission for a couple of days so it’s nice to drop in and chat with you all once again.
Like most people here, I will wait to celebrate until the adoption story is confirmed by a reliable source. However, if it’s true, it would be wonderful news particularly if the next child is a boy about Mad’s age.
For those people that keep criticizing Brad and Angie (or Angie in particular) about adding new members to their family, quit hating and most of all, quit projecting. Your criticisms are all very similar: too soon, the kids won’t get enough individual attention/care, it will be too crazy in that household etc.
For the “too soon” camp, people above have already pointed out that B&A want to raise their family all at once while they (B&A) are young enough to have the energy to run around and play with the kids. It’s a rational way of wanting to raise kids since you get the raising part done all at once instead of having to drag it out over decades (someone pointed out that caring for an infant all over again after you’ve raised your kids to be teens or adults will be a difficult adjustment). Additionally, it’s good to have/adopt kids like B&A have done since the kids will be close in age and can more effectively bond with and relate to each other. I have siblings that are 10 years older than I am and because of this age gap, I only got truly close to my sister who was closest to my age (5 years older) because my other siblings have always seemed too much of an adult for me to relate to them while I was growing up. I think the age gaps between MZS so far are pretty good since they won’t ever be so far apart in age that they can’t relate to each other. Any additions to the brood in the near future will reap the same benefit.
For the “kids won’t get enough individual attention/care” camp, you seem to be missing the point that B&A are not “ordinary parents” in terms of the help and resources at their disposal. The 2.5 kids per family norm these days is a relatively modern development and at least in America (and perhaps other western countries), it’s a result of the 2 income household reality for most families since more kids amount to more expenses and more demands on your time. A lot of couples feel that 2-3 kids is what is manageable because most couples nowadays both work so they have to juggle getting kids dressed and ready to go to school/daycare/nanny, going to work, picking up the kids afterwards, cooking dinner, helping kids with homework/spending time with them and then getting them ready for bed, cleaning up the house everyday. This doesn’t apply to B&A because even when they work, they make sure one of them stays with the kids. It’s also fairly common knowledge that the net worth of these two individuals alone can support 2 dozen kids and combined, they can probably adopt a small village. Additionally, these two don’t need to juggle child care with cleaning the house, yard work, cooking meals, etc. and to top it off, they can have live-in nannies to help usher kids to the bath, get them ready for trips, etc. Suffice it say that the number of children that B&A can handle is greater than that of an “ordinary” family. So for the critics, just because the number of kids you can handle is less than what B&A can handle doesn’t mean they’re less capable parents than you. My mother and both my grandparents came from families with 9-12 kids and they all turned out fine since they were raised during simpler times and had the luxury of having one parent at home at all times (and they didn’t even have maids/cooks/nannies). So stop harping on the number of kids B&A have and want to have—they can easily raise the soccer team they want with the resources they have.
For the “crazy household” camp, sure there will be commotion at a household with a lot of kids but a parents with maids and helpers can easily handle that. Lots of kids in a household means more friends and playmates for the kids. Having a huge family makes for great childhood memories. Some people seems to think family is all about parents and child only but the truth is, family is just as much about the relationships children develop with their siblings—to one child one sibling may be the pest, one sibling may be the protector, one sibling the confidant, etc. A big family doesn’t just mean a crazy household—often times, it also means a stronger support system and stronger sense of belonging.
So please, enough of the criticisms of B&A expanding their family!

I highly doubt it. The OSCARS just updated their list of presenters and they’re now at 44, last year there were only 39 presenters! I’ve got to think they’re fully booked now.
And i can’t imagine B&A would sit through the HOURS long Oscar show waiting for the last award “Best Picture”, i just can’t see it.
IMO they aren’t going, and i think that’s a good thing. Just lay low, and enjoy themselves.
