Angelina Jolie Talks Foreign Relations
Angelina Jolie is being admitted to become a member of the prestigious Council on Foreign Relations. Angelina, 31, will soon be rubbing elbows with other club members of the exclusive, Manhattan-based foreign-policy group including Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, Henry Kissinger, Colin Powell, and Alan Greenspan.
International-affairs professor Dr. Gordon Adams says “Bring her on. The idea of having Henry Kissinger and Angelina Jolie in the same organization is dazzling.”

Do you think the same where Bill Gates, Bono, Oprah and other rich people that gives and gives but yet returns to their finery in life?
You don’t have to be poor to do the right thing nor do you have give away everything in life to help others.
Also, do you have a clue what a think-tank is? And why they would want someone that is from the outside that have been in the trenches to work with them?
I see you don’t have a problem with D ick Cheney being on the board. As for Colin Powell, I know he has been in the trenches where the military is concern. He was my boss when he commanded V Corp while in Germany. I am sure you don’t want me to go into my history of the military and how we do get into the trenches. Having an education is the be all to end all. See Bill Gates, i.e.

I wouldn’t be so quick to call Americans materialistic and not very educated. I dated a Director of CIDA for quite some time and the stories about Canadian officials sleeping with prostitutes, under aged girls in developing countries and the amount of money spent on overseas travel and business lunches is nothing you and your countrymen should be proud of. K?
I think its wonderful and its like many groups and organizations, who look to those who would be outside their group norm to bring different perspectives and opinions. She’s actually been to these places and seen things that many of the people in that group have not, she can bring a unique perspective.
Anyway - less important, but important all the same, does anyone know is either Brad, Angie or both of them going to the Oscars tonight? Does anyone know anything, I’m trying to figure out if its worth watching at all?

Congrats to Angie! This is a well-deserved recognition of her constant efforts. She is in another league than these other Hollywood starlets, and her and the ___ are uncomparable. i can hear the haters exploding.

The wool has been pulled from the American public’s eye heralding a new generation of socially-aware people.
The only other to successfully do this but unfortunately died early is JFK Jr with his George magazine. He tried to use his celebrity status to bring the young generation and the political newbies into responsible citizenship by educating them through his works.

CANADA, the only undeducated one would be YOU! Especially, if you’re the one coming out being judgmental and critical about others. You obviously lack of intelligence!
As for Angie sitting on the board is perfect and a very good choice. You don’t need a PHd to have acknowlege or understand the refugees. A written paper is only a paper, but hands on experience and understanding is more important. Look at Bill Gates, he never got a college degree, but he’s the billionaire and he’s way smarter than most of us. Intelligence, commonsense and knowlege are the KEY to any success. Angie maybe an actress, but what most people don’t know is that she is an intelligence woman. Angie has hands on experience and have visited many countries and have spent time with the refugees personally. She is definitely the right person to speak about the foreign policies.
If anything, the people who shouldn’t be sitting on the board would be **** Cheney and Condaleeza Rice!!! Yes, they have academic, but if they were to ask about their experiences with the refugees, I believe they can only express maybe 10 pages, but if you were to ask Angie, she can write a book with her experiences!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Talent is talent. Hardwork is hardwork. Both Brad and Angie are talented and hardworking. They deserve the good things that come their way.

What a magnificent honor, and it could not have happen to a much better person, than Angelina. She is an epitome of what all REAL women aspire to become. This could not have come at a better time, and something that her mother would have been so proud of. Good for you, Angelina! The Jolie-Pitts are truly being blessed for all the wonderful things they are doing.
