Brad Pitt is “Just Awesome”
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is “a lyrical, brooding, atmospheric anti-Western that gave me the goose bumps numerous times throughout the 2 hour and 20 minute run time.”
And Brad Pitt’s performance? AWESOME!
“Brad Pitt plays Jesse James with cocky swagger and is just awesome. He owns the role, it’s like it was tailor made for him. Just watch the way the guy smokes his cigars and moves his head and eyes….methodical and unnerving.”
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is supposedly going to hit theaters on Friday, Sept. 14.

I’ve been meaning to post this for a little while and haven’t had the opportunity,
so here it is. I had the distinct privilege and pleasure of getting a sneak peek at
Andrew Dominik’s film ‘The Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert
Ford’ and all I can say is:
Holy Sh*t.
It’s so close to being a full-fledged masterpiece, it literally had me sitting there,
saying things like ‘Where the hell has Casey Affleck been?’ He’s a LOCK for some
sort of major acting nod. Be it Globe, Oscar, something. Nobody comes out of this
movie without viewing that guy in whole other light. Mindblowing. I’m not
bullshi*ting you guys. He’s that good. And Brad Pitt has never been better in
a film. He too, should be lauded for what he accomplishes with that role. The
guy projects a menace I’ve never seen and goes very, VERY deep.
There are moments of still and utter silence between characters as tense and awkward and terrifying as anything you’ve ever seen. Andrew’s ability to just allow a scene to develop gradually and let the audience watch and observe without the need for rampant schisms of rocket propelled editorial breaks is the mark of a true
master. If you saw and loved ‘Chopper’ then I can’t imagine you not falling head
over heels for this flick.
We throw words around like ‘brilliant’ and attach greatness to things that in the
end don’t really deserve that level of praise…This one DOES.
I’m hoping Warner Brothers understands what this film can be and allows Andrew’s
cut to see the light of day. At nearly three hours it’s something of such sublime,
elegaic beauty and vicious intent, that I don’t think we’ll see a film like it for a long
time to come.

#83, It’s good. If you feel that way that’s fine. Not everyone feels the same way, and like I’ve always said…just don’t lump every BAMZSers to feel the same way. I remember when we had a talk before where they’ve discussed BP’s bad movies. and It’s okay to not like every movies he made, same w/ AJ’s movies. For the love of me…I really love AJ in ‘Gone in 60 seconds’, but it’s not really an Oscar worthy film, but I really love it and found her sooo sexy there. I would even prefer to watch that than ‘Girl Interrupted’ or ‘Gia’. And you know why??? Some people just prefer different genre. So…goes to say that yes, I love AJ’s and BP’s action, thriller, comedy, and romantic movies than their other films. And as a sci-fi/fantasy geek, I want to see AJ doing some sci-fic/fantasy movie. Something LOTR…so, I can’t wait for Beowulf to come out (which will satisfy my anime craze). And for those that are jumping your throat…well, can’t do anything there. Jolie-Pitt has a strong and huge fan base especially here at JJ, so…expect to get slam dunk because we can’t help but feel hurt and defensive when you throw some negatives things about them in our way.

I hope it’s as good as people are saying….I would like to see Brad nominated for an Oscar for an outstanding performance. I read somewhere that he hasn’t been nominated since Twelve Monkeys and that was twelve years ago?? He’s a great actor but I guess his roles just haven’t been…what? challenging enough? He just needs to play something totally out of “character” for him and he will slam all the competition out of the ballpark. I’m looking forward to seeing this movie. Sexiness aside, Brad needs something to show for his hard work as an ACTOR.
Whatever BP has, he should bottle it and sell it. The man brings out the beast in some women. The man is hot, but damn*, I am really getting to see the scope of his celebrity. Not bad for a guy who has been around for a long time. Obviously, these upstarts don’t have anything on Brad. Rock on Brad and keep on rocking AJ.

September might be far indeed but I will be in the front row to watch it for sure. I’m waiting for this film to be made for four years. Jesse James was one of the first roles Brad was offered after he started his production company. When I first read the news I was so exited and I couldn’t wait for the result of this film. I knew Brad would be great in it because he really undercover his real abilities as an actor when he plays a dark and troubled character although I think that he have a good sense in comedy too. All the early reviews so far are excellent about the movie and I can’t wait to see it. The reviewer seems so enthusiastic. But since the movie is still in post-production I hope they will not change it too much.
TGS just opened here in Greece today and I’m going to watch it this week! I can’t wait for the rest of their movies to come out.

FINALLY!!! I freakin adore Alyssa Milano and it’s hard to find any kind of info on her. I’m glad the tabbies don’t chase her all over the place but it would be nice to every now and again see a picture of her. Really interesting to hear about the new show on ABC. My hubby was stationed around Savannah, Ga and we lived near there for six years, I wonder if they will be filming there? That would be cool, it’s a beautiful place. I was so sad when Charmed was over and I’m really looking forward to Alyssa’s new show.

I wanted to add that I think Alyssa is alot like Angie in that she does alot of work on behalf of the needy around the world. She doesn’t have the kind of media coverage that Angie does, but she has been doing this kind of work for years. They are both so admirable because they are so generous with their time in regards to trying to make this world a better place. I love these two girls for that!!!
