Brad Pitt is “Just Awesome”
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is “a lyrical, brooding, atmospheric anti-Western that gave me the goose bumps numerous times throughout the 2 hour and 20 minute run time.”
And Brad Pitt’s performance? AWESOME!
“Brad Pitt plays Jesse James with cocky swagger and is just awesome. He owns the role, it’s like it was tailor made for him. Just watch the way the guy smokes his cigars and moves his head and eyes….methodical and unnerving.”
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is supposedly going to hit theaters on Friday, Sept. 14.

Angie must be back in N.O. by now. They’ve never been separated for more than four days. Her assignment was for two days, the other two days for traveling to and fro. I also don’t think they’ll release the video until she has safely returned home. I wish their family all the best.

I hope it’s as good as people are saying….I would like to see Brad nominated for an Oscar for an outstanding performance. I read somewhere that he hasn’t been nominated since Twelve Monkeys and that was twelve years ago?? He’s a great actor but I guess his roles just haven’t been…what? challenging enough? He just needs to play something totally out of “character” for him and he will slam all the competition out of the ballpark. I’m looking forward to seeing this movie. Sexiness aside, Brad needs something to show for his hard work as an ACTOR.

Humphrey Bogart was an actor in 77 movies but was only nominated 3 times for a Oscar. He won once for the African Queen which was made only 5 yrs b efore he died. I think of HB as one of the best ever as I do Brad and so I dont judge by a statue.

Whatever BP has, he should bottle it and sell it. The man brings out the beast in some women. The man is hot, but damn*, I am really getting to see the scope of his celebrity. Not bad for a guy who has been around for a long time. Obviously, these upstarts don’t have anything on Brad. Rock on Brad and keep on rocking AJ.

So true. I remember an interview with Goerge Clooney where he said people went absolutely crazy when Brad would go anywhere. GC said one time he was somewhere public and the crowd was coming around him and doing what they do so he yelled “here comes Brad Pitt” (he was behind him) and he said the crowd went absolutely out of control mobbing him and yelling his name, the whole bit. Meanwhile, GC is standing off to the side laughing his a– off. Love their humor. :lol:

Oh, my gosh! Aiko we share the same enthusiasm for Sway! I loved her in that movie because she seemed to be an angel sometimes (the blond dreadlocks and the light colored eyes) then such a naughty minx in other scenes especially when she smiles. She was so cool there.
I remember having a friendly argument with Passing Through a long time ago about this cause I was extolling Angelina’s virtues on that one. Guess she liked Angie when she does the more dramatic roles. In as much as I love her in other genres, it’s doubly so when she’s doing an action film like Gone in 60 Seconds, Tomb Raider I and II and of course, MAMS.

this news of Brad and the Angelina is that fast I cannot read fast sufficiently. Brad has resurected as a fine actor. This is because he is free to reach for a star, and thus that is changed better star of him proper. He is a man very talented and man of the family. Those of us that we had the faith in Brad and Angelina are being rewarded.

Tijen, thanks, yep they are very close in age they are 20 months apart and I took them to Turkey every summer; bottles and diapers and all and back then they didn’t have the duo-strollers but now one is 20 and the other will turn 22 soon.

Brad’s always been a good actor, but I think his performances are getting even better as he gets older. It’s like he has been freed from the pretty-boy category. He will have a great acting career as long as he wants it.

Yeah an Oscar award is nice and all but definitely not the only measure of an actor’s/actress’s talent. They overlook so many deserving people it’s not even funny. There’s almost a randomness to their selection sometimes which is why Oscar office pools are so popular. Plus sometimes when they finally do give an award to someone, it ends up being for a movie that wasn’t their best work or something…as if they are making up for failing to give them the Oscar for another one in the past.
I would love for BP and AJ to get more Oscar nominations but I wouldn’t think any less of their skills if they don’t :)

Benjamin Button to film in Canada: It also looks like The Curious Case of Benjamin Button will shoot for eight days in late May, according to the film’s production manager, Manon Bougie. That film - which stars Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett - was also set to be made elsewhere because of the union dispute. The producers confirmed last week that they plan to come as long as the city can promise to let them shoot in Old Montreal. They need to make Old Montreal look like Moscow and Paris in winter, with the streets covered in fake snow.

Out of all the AJ and BP movies they have, you can really tell what kind of genre I love by looking at what kind of DVD’s I’ve purchased. I’m very tomboyish that way. Which I have no doubt I will love TAoJJbtCRF because it’s the kind of movies I like. Gory, action, and more action…lol.

lol…I didn’t say much. I was just commenting that um…there’s another bisayan here. can’t remember the name. was it amaya? hahaha. I have good and bad memories. so… yeah, that’s basically what I said. and I really should just revert to talking in tagalog since that’s our national language. at least that way, even if you’re ilocana, tagalog, or bisayan…you will still understand.
