The most enjoyable American Idol performance of the night from the Top 8 girls was Melinda Doolittle’s rendition of Peggy Lee’s “I’m a Woman.” Melinda, 29, blew the roof off with her performance and the judges went wild.
- Randy said, “You were the hottest one of the night. You deserve it. You’re a consummate pro! You’re ready to go into the studio and just make a record. You’ve got it going on.”
- Paula said, “You are so pheneonmal. You’re so likeable. You’re lovable. You’re brilliant on stage. You’re fantastic.”
- Simon said, “You little tiger. I thought we had a Pussycat. I love that!”

I think society is totally deaf to vote Melinda Doolittle off ,she should have won with flying colors.I mean she is a truely,gifted.soft-spoken,independently,strong,beautiful woman.Melinda got screwed out of that competition and that’s all there is to it.I voted 42 times on her last performance myself.I believe they only wanted a white person to win or at least half white.
Melinda Doolittle can sing but damn shes ugly, and she aint got no neck, Im sorry but Idol should be about the whole package at least some decent looks, they dont have to be super models since thats just not realistic, but fail to see the IDOL portion on Melinda D.
Melinda Doolittle she is beautiful women inside and outside. She will released her first album June of 2008. It say one thing about when you believe in God 1 thousand to your right another thousand to your left to tried to distroyed and but God there and she been protecting about stupid comments some do. She will succeed whatever peoples can’t say.

I hate AI because this is a show that is supposed to pick a person that can sing it doesnt matter what they look like. And Melinda is not ugly! For all you people that are saying that you’re just hatin’ so shutup! Melinda has had great performances week after week she should be the American Idol. but Jordin Sparks is going to win because she is the youngest and they don’t want someone who is 29 to win.
