Angelina Jolie in Vietnam for Adoption
Angelina Jolie leaves from Ho Chi Minh City International Airport and is escorted through Vietnam with 5-year-old son Maddox under the protection of her personal security officer Mickey Brett. Here’s Angelina’s expected agenda during her stay:
- Travel to Tam Binh orphanage outside Ho Chi Minh City to receive 3-year-old child (most likely a boy)
- Participate in an adoption ceremony with officials in Ho Chi Minh City
- Meet with U.S. consular officials to review the adoption and grant the child a passport.
It appears that Brad Pitt is home in L.A. taking care of his two daughters, Zahara, 2, and Shiloh, 10 months.

This is child name as of today, when Brad adopts him, i’m sure it is going to be changed to Jolie-Pitt.

By law the child takes on the name of their adopted parent. Angelina is his adopted parent.
Don’t worry, you’ll have time to cry in a week or so, when Brad files to adopt their son. And the name change.

Not are we gtting conflicting info on who is in Vietname , we are also getting conflicting info on the latest Jolie-Pitt. Hopefully we will get something reliable soon.

I’m sorry, but this is rather sh|ty. A good friend of mine and his wife have been trying to adopt from Vietnam for over a year and are still on a “wait” list. Go figure…

Angelina Jolie adopts Vietnamese boy by Aude Genet

HO CHI MINH CITY (AFP) - Angelina Jolie on Thursday adopted a three-year-old Vietnamese boy, the newest addition to the multicultural family she has formed with partner and screen idol Brad Pitt.
The Oscar-winning actress picked up the boy — named Pham Quang Sang — from a Ho Chi Minh city orphanage in an emotional 30-minute morning visit, the facility’s director Nguyen Van Trung told AFP.
“They tried to make friends with the Vietnamese boy, who cried when he saw them because for him, they are strangers,” Trung said. “Jolie was very moved. Both of them tried to comfort the little boy.”
“There was a small ceremony, announcing the decision of the chairman of the city’s people’s committee,” Trung said.
“Jolie then said she agreed to adopt the child,” he said. “Then, representatives of the orphanage brought the child to her, and then we signed a memorandum.”
“About 20 children and mothers at the centre said farewell to Jolie and the two boys,” he said, adding the the girls wore ao dai, traditional Vietnamese silken tunics. “She was given flowers by the children.”
Trung said Jolie planned to rename the boy Pax Thien.
The adoption was officially confirmed at a ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh City justice department, where Jolie and the boy arrived from the orphanage, joined by her five-year-old Cambodian-born adoptive son Maddox — but not Pitt.
“All the administrative procedures have been completed on the Vietnamese side,” said Trung, who said he was present when Jolie — wearing a black dress — signed the official papers.
The child is the fourth for Jolie. Aside from Maddox, she has a two-year-old daughter, Zahara, who was adopted from Ethiopia. Jolie and Pitt have a biological daughter, Shiloh, born to the couple last May in Namibia.
It was the latest celebrity adoption of a child from the developing world after pop star Madonna and her director husband Guy Ritchie adopted a baby boy from a Malawi orphanage last October amid global controversy.
Jolie was later expected to meet US consular officials in Ho Chi Minh City so they could prepare to issue an American passport for the boy, who was abandoned at the Tu Du Hospital in the city when he was one month old.
One of the best known and highest paid actresses in Hollywood, Jolie filed the adoption papers in late January through an agency and would adopt the boy as a sole parent because she is unmarried, Vietnamese officials have said.

Hey thank you for asking. Not yet. I tried last night, but my brain was scrambled. Today I was really busy. Guli, you must understand I just learned how to copy the name of the person from a previous post to my comment post. Challenge does not do justice to my lack of computer skills.
Are you leaving again? If so where to, and for how long. Where is, I think this how she spells her name, Mailabaumm, and OJP, Sweetpea? There are a couple of others who use to post often, but stopped when we became over run with haters. I will try tomorrow to see if You tube can help me.

my nephew named pax too!it means peace!
Pax means “peace” in Latin. Thien is comon Vietnamese last name - means God, sky, heaven.

Well Pax can be a name for both male and female, the origin is Greek and the Meaning is: Peace or Peaceful
Sorry, I meant it is common middle name.
