Pitt must be wishing he was there in a big way.
Those are the sacrifices of being a big-time producer, busy actor, hands-on dad and the other half of a support team.
The other personal time-offs taken for Angie’s mom passing and his other humanitarian projects have probably stretched him thin right now, also. Fincher must have him wearing one of those alert bands and manacled to the studio!! LOL!

There will be alot of bonding when they all get back to LA.

Yeah, Jolie is not very clingy which allows both to do twice as much.
And on another note, Pitt’s friends must be so ecstatic! Although, his friends are actually competing with the revived Pitt’s many ‘other projects’!

Then again, why would Jolie be clingy when they’re so in-sync - basically, finish each other’s sentences…True Love - can’t touch that.

Probably Brad is not there because angelina filed as a single parent.

ORLEANS, means Golden Origin: French

I love the way it sounds in French, La Nouvelle Orleans, etc.

It is not a name for a peson normally but many cities and geographical places have been given as names, Paris, India, Asia, Dakota, etc.

I like Orleans.

I may be the only one I guess. :(

I like it better than Paris (some Paris’ have ruined the name for me, one in particular).

Don’t be. All the leaked info and publicity could have caused significant problems with the adoption. Remember Angelina is adopting as a single parent, and it is probably best that he is not there for the media circus that has begun. Brad is doing what he needs to do just as Angelina is doing what she needs to do. When they got Zahara, they had picked her up and left with her before anyone knew anything about the adoption. This time the hoards of paps are probably arriving by the planeload in Vietnam. Be happy for Angelina to be there with Mad. Brad met the child with Angelina last November. He and the girls will see them soon.

Personally, I’m not bother by Brad not being there. He has already met his new son most likely bonded with him, to a point.

I feel it is more important that he is with Z and Shi since they are so young.

So I’m not sad or disappointed because they are doing what is best for the family and that is what is most important, IMO.

They will all be under one roof soon and the family bonding will beginning.

Its not a big deal if Brad didnt go wtih AJ to pick their new kid, he is busy filming in LA, and Fincher is a strict director. He said in an interview that he expects his stars to be there on the set as needed as they are very well paid. Also the 2 kids are left in LA, even if Brad is filming, they will be more secure since he is just in LA and can be with them for any emergency.

When Angie adopted madox, Angie was also not able to pick him up in Cambodia personally, as she was busy filming in Namibia. So Maddox was delivered to her in namibia.

With regards to Z, both and Angie and Brad were not doing anything, when the handover was approved, so both and Mad picked up Z personally in Ethiopia.

I think also because of the Vietnam laws being strict on unmarried couples, and Angie is adopting, this has prevented Brad to be involved hands on in the adoption process.

Forgive me, I feel so strongly about this message I posted on the old thread I’m going to bring it here:

On Angie traveling with Maddox and without Brad:

Zahara and Shy would get nothing out of the trip except jet lag, and they matter too. I can only speak from experience. Some families spend all of their money to bring five children along when they adopt a sixth, and some do not (it seems to make more sense to me if the five sibling travelers will get something out of the experience, that they will remember it later).

It worked very well for me/us to have my partner at home when I adopted, first from Vietnam and then from Ethiopia. I fell into his arms after the trip and he took over until I could rest. Plus I too applied as a single mom and that made everything in country simpler….no explanations, no rubbing it the country’s face that I indeed had a partner when they had signed off on the paperwork for me alone.

I made a terrific video both times I traveled, and my partner can see that whenever he wants….not the same as being there, you’re right, but as I said there was no way I would leave my other two children home without a parent.

This way also Angie gets some serious alone time with Maddox on the way there, with no demanding siblings. She can take a long, quiet time to prepare him for becoming a big brother to someone who won’t understand a word he says initially. That little guy is going to need a friend as he navigates his new life, and that will be Maddox. Maddox and new brother can bond over a soccer ball and take it from there.

Sorry to state the macabre, but when new sibling is 50 years old, Brad will likely be dead. Maddox will not, and he and his brother can recall again and again that beautiful first time they bonded outside of Ho Chi Minh city, maybe over a soccer ball.

It’s about what’s good for the children, not about what’s good for the parents or what beautiful experience Brad may be missing. I know more than one couple who traveled together to adopt and reported that their new child was overwhelmed and would only go to the mom for days. Meeting one at a time is fine for new sibling. A little bit at a time. He will love Brad too, in due time, but Brad is back home holding down the fort for the girls. Meeting your new best friend, your bro, who looks like you and is not ten feet tall and will treat you with patience and love and will show you with his face that life is about to get really good, is perfect.

They had been in Ethiopia 2 weeks before they made the trip to pick up Zahara, so 2 trips in 2 weeks and no one knew anything until they announced it. They attracted no attention, no paps were chasing them at that time. It was peaceful for all four of them. UNFORTUNATELY TIMES HAVE CHANGED AND THEY ARE A MAIN PAP TARGET. They also now have Zahara plus Shiloh. The paps chase them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The important thing for this child is to get him home ASAP, with as minimal chaos as possible. I hope they are in and out within 24 hours.

How can the Paps ‘leave her alone’ when 2nd to the War in Iraq, she is the biggest story out? People care more about Angelina, her life-work than they do about….
