Introducing… Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt
New reports from Vietnam are coming in that Angelina Jolie has renamed her 3-year-old adopted son from Pham Quang Sang to PAX THIEN JOLIE (soon to be PAX THIEN JOLIE-PITT).
In Latin, “PAX” means “peace.” In Vietnamese, “THIEN” means “sky.” The coolness factor pretty much matches up with the rest of the pack: Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh. PAX. THIEN. JOLIE. PITT.
But it has been confirmed that Angelina has completed procedures with Vietnamese authorities to adopt. Just one more hoop to jump through: U.S. consular and embassy officials must give approval.
In short… Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will soon have four children: 5-year-old son Maddox adopted from Cambodia, 3-year-old son Pax adopted from Vietnam, 2-year-old daughter Zahara adopted from Ethiopia and 10-month old daughter Shiloh, who was born to the couple in May 2006.

Nice. The leave the girls in the hotel room by themselves. Someone needs to give those kids to Jen quickly.

LMAO!
Jen would roll those kids up like a joint and smoke ‘em!
Yes but according to People and Times mag they are not. Some reports also said that Brad is with her but he is not. So nobody really knows.
I really think that only Maddox and Angie are there.
+++++++++++++++
I know, I’m just saying what AP print, because well AP is more accurate than some tabloids, but who knows. The only sure thing is that Brad is not there.
I just saw the video from the dailymail and the razzis are totally crazy, I hope the hotel security can do the best job they can to keep them under control.
queen bee you are a racist ignorant fool. a child in need from anywhere on earth should be helped not just from here. your fake concern for children here fools no one, it was just your way to show your racist ass attitude.
Congratulations to Angie and Brad on their newest addition. I think soon they’ll be adopting another African child to make everything even. May God Bless them and their family.
The reason so many are picking on the name change issue of this adoption is because they can’t find anything else in this glorious news. Now they “too many children”? LOL!!!! That person is so out of the loop in regards to Brad & Angelina’s wishes for a large family. I can easily see three more children in that family. I must agree with something mentioned on other Brad & Angelina forums; I agree that Brad will be a better father to his children than Jon Voight was to his.

changing the boys name is a wrong move and all of you know it. the only valid explantion i can think of is she’s making sure all of her accessories match!
—
the only thing I know right now is that “you are a waste of time.” although I’m certain some will continue giving you attention, i’m really hoping that most wont. let the stragglers get it off their chest if they must, but trust that you WILL soon be ignored by most if not all. you’ve been on stage for the better part of the day, and I know I’m tired of your act and I think it’s time for your show to close.
here’s hoping that others follow my lead and bypass for the rest of this thread the insignifigant babbeling coming from tomanykids.
Pax Thien. I love the name though. and i love the fact it has beautiful meaning. Angie n Brad never failed in giving beautiful name to their children. btw, I vote for BAMPZS for no reason :)
Who would have ever thought just under two years ago when Brad and angie picked up Z that Angie would ever be off by herself picking up their newest member of the family. I tseemedn then like they would always do everything together. So sad that Brad had to work. Obviously shows how important the family is. Hope that when Angie has her next natural baby in Africa that Brad won’t be to busy to show!
Looks like they are going to live their life as Brad and Jennifer did. Each doing their own thing. Jen was quoted by the tabloids a few months back as saying that Brad would be sorry when he was stuck at home and she was off adopting some child. Guess she was right. Man she must be feeling so good right now. Laughing her head off.
Wouldn’t it be much easier for her just to give the orphanages millions and promote adoptions through all her wealthy friends by having Hollywood donation parties and stuff like that?
SAM: Getting really desperate for attention, aren’t you SYBIL?
Looks cute. I just hope Jolie does it with good and pure intentions. May seem as a toy collection for rich and famous
I suggest we all bask in the happiness that we deserve today!
Ignore the HHH = HIRED HANDS OF HUVANE.
Peace -

MARITZA: How exactly would that work?

gotta love the haters!
when grasping for straws, attack the great act of adopting orphans!
idiots!
welcome pax - love your name. peace!
regina what are you like a 5th grader? i hope that an adult wouldn’t hope that a man would take on of his children and leave the others behind. get a hobby and try to be productive.
max=sam
At least, don’t follow your other personality with a like name.
I know, you don’t have two active brain cells to rub together, so that’s a real hard thing to grasp.
OH PLEASE: I guess this is when it starts getting entertaining. When she starts a dialogue with herself. How pathetic and needy.
sam when you have more than one kid sometimes parents time will be divided, so maybe brad stayed home with the girls rather than put them through long flights and maybe he figured he had the rest of his life with his son. and if jennifer said Brad would be sorry stuck at home while angelina is off adopting, then she is a ***** and should get a life and move on b/c brad and angelina have moved on. and if you think she is happy today while they add on to their family i would bet you are very, very wrong. her ass got dumped.
WHY DO ORPHANGE OFFICALS HAVE TO GIVE OUT SO MUCH DETAILS before the child is safely away from the orphanage? This orphanage director is speaking all the way from Aouth Africa (that’s how much he likes to run his mouth) giving details about breakfast to which hotel in the city Angie and the kids will be spending the weekend?
She probably has a Vietamese person there translating and helping them all to adjust. this is bonding time. Not to be able to take a walk in the grounds with the kids for fear of the paps is realy a shame.
Angie travelled from Japan to Vietnam in a private jet. Before she arrived, he announced that she was coming. That gave all the papps time to converge. Noone would probably have know they were in Vietnam, had it not been for this man seeking to advertise his orphanage. I know he needs to get funding and more adoptions, but he is helping to jeopardizie their safety, with people throwing things under the vehicle to stall it and prevent it from moving.
I could have waited for the news and the pix until after the child arrived in the States and met his new family.

Jolie at peace with kids’ names

Pitt and Jolie took Maddox, 5, left, and Zahara, 2, sightseeing in India in November.
By Karen Thomas, USA TODAY
Maddox is growing to be among the most popular baby names for boys.
Is Pax next?
Angelina Jolie’s adoption of a Vietnamese boy she named Pax Thien Jolie was finalized Thursday, and the actress is due to bring him to the USA next week. Jolie is in the country with her Cambodian-born son Maddox, 5, while the multicultural family patriarch, Brad Pitt, stays in the USA with daughters Zahara, 2, and Shiloh, 10 months.
Pitt is under contract to be filming in Los Angeles, and he is expected to formally adopt Pax.
Nguyen Van Trung, director of the orphanage, told the Associated Press about the boy’s day: “This morning, he woke up at 6, just like all the children. He put on new clothes, and he was very excited.”
But the trip wasn’t free of turmoil. Trevor Neilson, Jolie’s international affairs adviser, said Jolie complained of paparazzi swarming their van. Pax has been described by Vietnamese adoption officials as a little bit shy.
Jolie’s new addition opens up another option for expecting parents looking for a name. Today’s young parents are “much more likely to name their children after a celebrity’s child, and not after a celebrity,” says Linda Rosenkrantz, co-author of The Baby Name Bible. “Just a couple of generations ago, there was no interest in knowing the names of stars’ children or following celebrity pregnancies.”
Rosenkrantz says it looks as if Jolie and Pitt have some clear patterns forming in the names they choose for their children.
Jolie has said that the couple would like to balance the races their family with two Asian children and two African children. “They seem to be going in an all-embracing way in terms of gender, meaning and balance,” she says. The couple have chosen several unisex names for their children, and they have also moved toward recognizing their children’s heritage or heroes with middle names.
A look at the meanings behind the names in the Jolie-Pitt clan:
•Pax Thien, 3: The Vietnamese boy’s name was changed Thursday from Pham Quang Sang, and his new name means “peaceful sky” in two languages. Pax means “peace” in Latin; Thien is Vietnamese for “sky.” Rosenkrantz says Pax is a rarely used moniker, though its Spanish version (Paz) is much more common. The boy was born in November 2003 and was abandoned as an infant.
•Maddox Chivan, 5: Jolie was married to Billy Bob Thornton in 2002 when she adopted her first child, a Cambodian-born son named Rath Vibol. Maddox is a Celtic or Welsh name meaning “beneficent,” but Chivan has no origin, says Rosenkrantz. “It’s a name that certainly has not been used in the last century.” Pitt formally adopted Mad (that’s what they call him) in 2006.
•Zahara Marley, 2: Born Tena Adam, Zahara means “flower” in Swahili and “to shine” in Hebrew. Marley comes from reggae singer Bob Marley, a name Rosenkrantz says is popular for both boys and girls. Zahara was adopted in Ethiopia in 2005 after she was orphaned by AIDS, and the couple refer to her as “Z.” Pitt was with Jolie when she signed the adoption papers, and he formally adopted Zahara last year.
•Shiloh Nouvel, 10 months: Jolie gave birth to the couple’s youngest daughter in the African country of Namibia. Of Hebrew origin, Shiloh means “peaceful one,” and Rosenkrantz says it is a name that’s catching on for both sexes. The middle name is a homage to Jean Nouvel, a famous French architect who is among Pitt’s favorites.
I am finding it REALLY hard to believe Zahara was born Tena Adam.
Such an English/American name for a girl born in an Ethiopian orphanage.
I would think something more Amharik (sp) - the Ethiopian language.
Anyone know her true birth name?
PS: Like Marcheline Betrand did for her kids, the Jolie-Pitts are giving their kids middle names that can be used as last names in the future in case they don’t want the so public and visible last names of Jolie-Pitt in the future - makes sense.
Although Marley will be as equally well recognized……

Lol, I feel like I’m the one that just adopted!! Very exciting. Congrats to BAMPZS (love it!)!!!!! Pax is a cutie, and a very lucky little boy. Hope he adjusts quickly, though I’m sure Mad will make him feel at home in no time :)
