Izzie- I thought they said survivor was changed to weds. this week but it wasn’t on. I hate how they have the tribes divided this round.

Hi there! I’ve been coming in and out while at the office. My hubby was looking for Survivor too last night. The division of the tribes seems so unfair to me. How can that losing team ever compete on equal footing? They are just getting picked off s l o w l y.

What a great day for BAMPZS fans…. That young boy looks like such a sweetheart.

When we immigrated to this country, my parents gave me an English name on paperwork. Thank goodness! No one in my school at the time would have been able to pronounce my real name. Having the easier English name made me blend in more. I was not confused. I did not think my parents did it because they liked the “designer” name. I knew of other immigrant kids who kept their native names and I remembered feeling bad for them when people struggled with the pronounciation. My parents continue to call me by my real name, but pretty much everyone else calls me by my English name. I know who I am. Now having grown up, I am grateful for being able to have the life I have in this country. And if my new name signaled that in, I am happy to answer to it.

Undoubtedly the first few months will be a bit tough for Pax. But he is not yet 4 and children adapt quickly and happily as long as they are safe from harm, loved and cared for. He’s far luckier than all the other orphans who are not adopted in the same orphan - who also don’t have new names BTW.

Izzie, I belive after last weeks show they said the next NEW episode of Survivor will be on Wednesday, March 21st. So you’re good, and even if you watch American Idol it doesn’t come on until 9PM so you can still catch both.

It’s going to be a crazy week next week in our house because we are totally hooked on American Idol and Survivor and also Dancing with the Stars which starts next week too. Luckily Rob & Amber got voted off Amazing Race last week so we have our Sunday nights free again.

Hey Creativegirl - Thanks for the information. I haven’t been watching Dancing with Stars but one of my coworkers does. So she gives me recaps of that show. I get AI recaps from a radio station that I listen to on my way to work. (My hubby is a remote control hog). This is my second season of Amazing Race, and I love it. Oddly enough, I am actually rooting for the Beauty Queens. I was dancing with joy when Rob-n-Amber got eliminated last week. I thought Amber was really a royal B when she lied to The Cousins about the clue. Then, to watch them get eliminated was sweet.

Speaking of dancing, where is Guli?

Nice. The leave the girls in the hotel room by themselves. Someone needs to give those kids to Jen quickly.

i have a friend, she’s in her early 30’s n recently she changed her name from Byant 2 Michelle n Bryant is now her middle name, the reason y she changed her name 2 Michelle bcuz her husband’s 1st name starts w/a letter M n so is her twin girls, so, she felt like she’s the only 1 in the family who’s name don’t start w/a letter M so all of them now have M’s on their 1st names hehe…

HO CHI MINH CITY - Angelina Jolie adopted her fourth child Thursday, a Vietnamese boy from a Ho Chi Minh City orphanage.

Government officials said the boy was renamed Pax Thien Jolie and is almost three-and-a-half years old.

“Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my son,” the Oscar-winning actress wrote in the visitors’ book of the Tam Binh orphanage. “I am sure he will miss your beautiful, caring staff as much as you will miss him,” she added.

The adoption will be final once U.S. embassy officials in Hanoi approve the paperwork for the child to travel to the United States. Jolie and Vietnamese officials have already signed adoption documents in Ho Chi Minh City.

Senior officials said Jolie’s adoption had been speeded up, partly due to her celebrity status. She filed papers in early March, although she visited last November. The length of time it takes to adopt in Vietnam varies, with an average of about six months.

Orphanage director Nguyen Van Trung said the boy had been abandoned at birth at a local hospital and has been at the orphanage since 2003.

He cried when Jolie came to the orphanage.

Bui Thi Bich Tuyen, the woman who took care of the boy there said, “he’s just like the other children but maybe a bit more dynamic. He is shy with new people, he always cries.”

Jolie took the boy with her to the Justice Department building in the city center to sign the adoption documents. Her car left half an hour later.

A witness said she wore a black T-shirt and black pants.

“She was very beautiful. She signed and had her photo taken,” department official Dao Van Tran said outside the building.

Jolie has two adopted children and a biological daughter with partner Hollywood star Brad Pitt.

She flew into the southern Vietnamese city formerly called Saigon on Wednesday night from Japan on a chartered plane. Her son Maddox and daughters Zahara and Shiloh Nouvel accompanied her.

Jolie, 31, filed adoption papers in early March through an unidentified American agency without Pitt because under the law in Vietnam an unmarried couple cannot adopt a child, while a single person can.

Jolie and Pitt visited Ho Chi Minh City last November and met children at the orphanage.

The couple say they have no plans to marry but are committed to raising their children together. Their biological daughter, Shiloh Nouvel, was born last year. Jolie adopted Maddox from Cambodia and Zahara from Ethiopia before her relationship with Pitt, who has now become their adoptive father.

The couple starred in the 2005 movie “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”.

They are also working together on the film “A Mighty Heart” about the killing of a U.S. journalist by Pakistani militants.

Jolie won an Oscar in 1999 for best supporting actress in “Girl, Interrupted”. She starred in the 2001 movie “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” which was filmed in Cambodia, neighboring Vietnam.

Why don’t you adopt from the USA and let Angie and others adopt from wherever they see fit! If you are so concerned about it, you should do something instead of criticizing what others do.

Yes but according to People and Times mag they are not. Some reports also said that Brad is with her but he is not. So nobody really knows.

I really think that only Maddox and Angie are there.

I know, I’m just saying what AP print, because well AP is more accurate than some tabloids, but who knows. The only sure thing is that Brad is not there.

I just saw the video from the dailymail and the razzis are totally crazy, I hope the hotel security can do the best job they can to keep them under control.

Congratulations to Angie and Brad on their newest addition. I think soon they’ll be adopting another African child to make everything even. May God Bless them and their family.

the only thing I know right now is that “you are a waste of time.” although I’m certain some will continue giving you attention, i’m really hoping that most wont. let the stragglers get it off their chest if they must, but trust that you WILL soon be ignored by most if not all. you’ve been on stage for the better part of the day, and I know I’m tired of your act and I think it’s time for your show to close.

here’s hoping that others follow my lead and bypass for the rest of this thread the insignifigant babbeling coming from tomanykids.

Who would have ever thought just under two years ago when Brad and angie picked up Z that Angie would ever be off by herself picking up their newest member of the family. I tseemedn then like they would always do everything together. So sad that Brad had to work. Obviously shows how important the family is. Hope that when Angie has her next natural baby in Africa that Brad won’t be to busy to show!

Looks like they are going to live their life as Brad and Jennifer did. Each doing their own thing. Jen was quoted by the tabloids a few months back as saying that Brad would be sorry when he was stuck at home and she was off adopting some child. Guess she was right. Man she must be feeling so good right now. Laughing her head off.
