OlderPax Thien Jolie’s Passport Photo
This is the passport photo of Angelina Jolie’s newly adopted 3-year-old son Pax Thien Jolie (born Truong Quang Sang) that was attached to the passport application filed at the immigration office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on Friday. The very first photos of Pax were posted here.
Angelina and Pax (along with Maddox, Zahara, and Shiloh) will fly home to Los Angeles after Pax’s passport and visa have been finalized.
Lao Dong (Labor) newspaper reports that when Angelina and Pax first met, she quickly embraced him and told him in Vietnamese “Khong sao dau, khong sao dau” (No problem, no problem) and immediately started playing with him.
Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper reports that Pax can count from 1 to 10 in English and his favorite foods include fried noodles and yogurt.
The adoption agency that Angelina used issued the following response to clear up rumors regarding Pax’s adoption.
“In applying to adopt 3-yr-old Pax Thien, Ms. Jolie followed the same course as all prospective adoptive parents who apply to our Vietnam program. Throughout her adoption process, which began in the summer of 2006, she has received no preferential treatment from the Vietnamese government or Adoptions From The Heart, and contrary to earlier reports, her application was not fast tracked.
Despite rumors that she chose her child, Ms. Jolie received a referral, just like any other parent adopting from Vietnam. In late 2006, she was referred a child who had been legally determined to be available for adoption and who fit within the parameters for which she had been approved to adopt. She accepted the first and only referral given to her.
In addition, we can confirm the statement given by Nguyen Van Trung, Director of Tam Binh Orphanage, that Ms. Jolie has neither made, nor promised to make, any financial contributions to his orphanage. It is strange to see Brad out while Angelina is miles away.They are always together for important things.Something is completely off here, at least Brad could have gone for a day or two and then come back.Lets hope he will go there this weekend.It looks like he wanted to be seen out and not working today.Angelina is having a tough time with the paps.

:) not sure if i still like that idea. i am sure she’s going to be one sexy housewife! i think it should be balanced so that way she won’t go crazy like some women would for just being a housewife. i like the idea of her relationship with brad to stay exciting and challenging so they won’t be bored the living thing out of each other for you know never know!:) although, i doubt they will be bored of each other since they always challenge and push each other to be better!:)

Ha Ha. this piece should come with the disclaimer, just so that none of you confuse Angelina with Madonna, NO she did not ask for the pick of the Litter, NO, she did not pay for a government official’s schooling, and NO, she did now skirt established Vietnamese adoption laws to obtain a kid.

Do you know what I’ve been dreaming about since we’ve been hearing about this adoption? I would love if Brad & Angelina would do an interview to a very selective magazine and mention that they had planned out their life together with children a while back. I think this is what has happened but the haters keep thinking that everything in their lives are on a whim. What we are seeing is a carefully laid out life plan by Brad & Angelina. will my dreams come true?

Why don’t you accept some person want a big family.? Brad had always said he want 7 kids while still married to his selfish ex-wife. He was just lucky to have met Angie, who like kids and big family too.

Paula the crotch- I gotta say, you have an interesting name.
lurker, i don’t think even that would help b/c brad says almost every time he is interviewed that his family is everything and that they are going to add to their family and then when it comes to fruition, ignorant people act as though it wasn’t a mutual decision and act stunned. some people just live in the past and refuse to accept the happiness of others.
Please let’s decide to keep this thread positive, whether Brad is there or not. Yesterday the haters said Angie took a short cut, today we found out she did not. Please srop taking a lead from the hater’s story. It makes the board messy.
I believe I read that Brad has an iron-clad contract that says no leaving on vacation or missing shooting etc. So due to the length of time that it would take for him to leave and go pick up Pax, he probably would have broken contract. He is one of the most professional people in lala land and I don’t think he would do that. He has too much respect for his director and the people he works with to break his word unlike the Lohans, Hiltons and Spears of the world.
Secondly, I don’t think Angie is staying home forever to be an at home mom. I think, based on what she said, she is staying home to help them all adjust. She has several films in the future pipeline. But then, Brad and Angie do bring the kids to the set. Either way–stay at home or picking a film once and awhile–she is a great mom. You can tell by the closeness with all of the children in pictures (and yes you haters there are Shiloh pictures out there where she is showing her ‘blob’ lots of loving). She is so protective and loving as is Brad and the children do come first–so I think Pax is one lucky little guy!!!
Thirdly to the haters–I suppose you think it would have been better to have Pax left in the orphanage for the rest of his life. Older children are not exactly hot commodities in the adoption world. If you are so concerned, why don’t you start the process to adopt from this orphanage. You will see Angie was given NO preferential treatment. She had already completed all of the home studies and preliminaries with Maddox and she did not need to repeat most of those. So what was left was to follow Vietnamese law which states adoptions take from one month to over a year. If she had received preferential treatment she would have gotten a child in less than a month. This took almost 8 months.

Okay, okay, all this good deed done by angie is for media attention ? but don’t you think its better than parading the new nose, new boob, faking a relation and denied it, leaking nude picture and sued, or the Brit-brit stunt, all night party without undie.

You get all that from a few pictures from moment in time? I swear I don’t get where ppl feel that these comments have some bases due to razzi photos taking at one point in that celebs day. We don’t know what the heck BP had done that day or even the moments before or after.
Quit wishing for something that as of right now….isn’t going to happen. I think everyone involved knows that BP will adopted this child like he has done with Mad and Z. I just wonder what your next ’sign of trouble for the JP’s’ will be once he does that.

I knew she would learn some Vietnamese for him. He is a doll and has full lips like his mom and sisters. lol I am happy for that little guy.
