I know for Asian travel, I always go to any travel agency owned by the Chinese or Asian. They have the best price. Their tours are MUCH MUCH cheaper than those put out by the Americans. The only drawback is that the tour guides speak Chinese or Asian and the whole tour group are all Chinese or Asians.

I also recommend you to look into http://www.contiki.com. This contiki put out many many tours for age 35 and younger. You travel with people your own age. The price is very very reasonable. Contiki does NOT accept anyone over 35. If you’re a member of AAA, pick up their thick book of brochure listing all the tours and different options.

First off YAWN!!!!

Second, doing a photo shoot doesn’t take that long and she will still be with her children. Also she has a contract with Saint John’s and it is her job to forfill that contract.

And finally, if you would learn how to read and grasp what you read. You would know that she wasn’t talking about being a stay at home mom for every. She said she had NO films schedule for the rest of the year. In which, she doesn’t all films are schedule for 2008 and beyond.

Angie has said that her children come first and then her work with the UN. And there is no way she will turn her back on the suffering of children and the monies she makes help the most poorest in need.

I guess some people miss the essentials of reading is fundmental!

Anybody noticed that the Saint John’s ads are back in the fashion mags (Vogue, W, VF)? Since W has a larger format than the other ones, and the ad is on a double page, AJ’s picture is huge in it, and therefore, beautiful. Check it out at the bookstores. I think AJ only agreed to do the ad for Saint John because the contract included a creation of some charity fund for children. She would not have done it just to line her pockets.

If Huvane is NOT orchestrating the negative press, then he and his client are up the creek - by doing the Vanity Fair article and other articles/antics a while back they created a monster and now the press and other dummies in the public can’t view his client as anything other than a woman scorned. Pity might have seemed attractive at the time, but 2 years later it’s a turn-off to would-be suitors and employers.

Excellent post bermy! I agree - I’ve sometimes wondered of late, if Huvane wasn’t deliberately trying to deep-six her career. Truly, it makes no sense. This is a case of Maniston cutting off her nose to spite her face - or to sue another cliche, she was unable to see the forest for the trees. The trees being an immediate gratification in sharing rags and mags with the ‘new’ super hot coupling of ‘Brangelina.’ Maniston’s ego is such, that she only saw the immediate payback of sharing magazine and ragazine covers and having her name attached to theirs - starting a tabloid ‘war.’ I’m sure at the time, and even in the several months that followed she may not have been able to see the way in which she was taking a sledgehammer to her own career. Like you say, she is the eternal victim and woman scorned - everywhere BUT Hollywood, as they know her for the lying media manipulator she and her PR guru Huvane are, and bottomline THAT is the only place that counts in the end. Brad Pitt isn’t her tormentor, or the person that ‘did this to her,’ in HW - he is the same upstanding honest good hearted man he always was. THAT is what the reality is, and that is why she’s made more enemies than she even knows.

As I said a long time ago — if she had wanted to repair some of the damage she’s done, she would do her best, in small subtle positive ways to make it seem as if there is no grudge and no ill-will (NOT by saying there is no ill-will and bad feelings), but by actually saying happy positive things, and deigning to use Brad’s name (and even -gasp!- Angelina’s), and wishing their family the best.

What she calls ‘moving on,’ is actually the opposite - because her statements are negative, and have to do with the ‘triangle’ she and her publicist created — essentially, what she’s doing then, is equivalent to saying to the public, “Please, I’ve moved on - and I forgive Brad for beating me.” LOL These kinds of statements only fire up her hater fan base, and essentially say that she had reason to be at war to begin with. When we know she did NOT. However, hearing Aniston herself put things in that way, consequently have the haters thinking to themselves, “Jen is even more wonderful than we knew, she can forgive that lying cheat for doing this to her.” It’s a WACK passive aggressive tactic…a negative, couched in a positive. It really is abhorrent, and makes me loathe her almost as much as if she hadn’t said ANYTHING.

She’s a liar. She’s disingenuous. That’s the truth. I mean after all, it would only be natural for someone CLAIMING she’ll love a person “for the rest of (her) life,” to wish him well publicly, KNOWING how a fraction of said public (her fans) may perceive him and his new family. But she never has - and of course, that statement was yet another passive aggressive Vanity Fair moment - designed to give her her cake, so she could eat it too. She didn’t really mean it. She does not love or care about Brad Pitt.

Kylie Minogue was in a similar situation as Maniston, with her ex-boyfriend Olivier Martinez. The tabloid media, particularly the UK and Aussie tabloid media (some of the worst rags in existence) were all ready to make Kylie the new singing dancing ‘Pop’ Jennifer Aniston. Tabloid after tabloid screamed that Olivier had been cheating and that is why they broke up. Kylie is very much loved, and has a huge fan base, especially after conquering cancer as she’s done - so of course, they went after Olivier with guns blasting - dragging up things and maligning his character ala what Maniston did to Brad. When the truth of the matter was, that man not only helped Kylie through her illness - she lived with him in his home and he took care of her - to which she was/is forever grateful! She did not like that they were Anistonizing him. This was a case where because she DID LOVE THIS MAN, she write a column telling the rags to STOP IT, and describing Olivier - the kind of man he was, in glowing wonderful terms. The fact that he was no longer with her, and may have been with someone else, was not enough for her to trash him for all time.

That’s LOVE.

But Maniston? Maniston sh*t all over Brad, and betrayed him as bad as Paltry in my opinion (On some level, the horse is out of THAT particular barn…I don’t Brad will ever consider her a friend again - he’ll be civil, and polite…but that bridge is TORCHED baby…No more ‘we kept the love we have for each other’ - he is DONE..she showed him her TRUE colors) - and she STILL hasn’t made amends…the day she does, I’ll be the first one dropping MY grudge against her.

So, now I’m part of the spin? Sheesh.

Just when I thought I’d said all I needed to say about Angelina Jolie’s most recent adoption, seeing that I have no first-hand knowledge at all … just like everyone else, including those who still feel the need to formulate and postulate opinions formed on smoke and mirrors … I learn that I have been sucked into the spin.

In an article in a Dubai newspaper on the subject, I am quoted.

Thankfully, this particular story doesn’t take the usual condemning stance; in fact, it’s quite even-handed in its tone and content.

Taken from Dubai newspaper:
Some Vietnamese involved in adoption said Jolie made a donation to the Ho Chi Minh City orphanage where she adopted the boy on Thursday, although no one is saying how much. Less wealthy people have also done the same. Many adoptive parents are moved to donate toward humanitarian causes such as the care of people disabled by chemicals or unexploded ordnance from the US war in Vietnam that ended 32 years ago when the communists unified the country.

Unfortunately, the line they claim to lift from me would hardly be one of my more brilliant, and I do wish they’d gone for something a bit more pithy than:

In fact, although they attribute this as a direct quote, it isn’t. What I actually said was:

See how that works? What they said I said was not the same as what I said, even though they put it in quotes as if they were saying EXACTLY what I said.

And that is how it’s done. This is very simple, clear and personal example of the press in action.

Now, does anyone still think that they are getting the straight scoop from what they read?

Now, at least, I can fulfill my life-long dream of being in a pageant. Alongside Miss Taken, Miss Conceived and Miss Informed, I’m going to get myself a formal gown … I’ll skip the bathing suit competition, thankyouverymuch … and wear a sash that reads:

I love the gag reel, and could feel the closeness and bond between them. I love the punch Angie gives Brad when they get up from the table at the restaurant. Also when he dips her, and she cracks up - two times. It is so adorable. Brad’s smiling so much on that thing I thought his face would crack. I don’t know how Angie did the frisking of the crotch (’that’s all John sweetheart’) - and maintained composure (well, she actually did lose it in that one, I forgot…lololol).

I think “stay at home” raises an interesting philosophical ?

Let’s pretend (and I do mean PRETEND) for a minute that Angelina did wreck Brad and _’s marriage. She then went on to save dozens of lives due to, say, a landmine project or something.

Question: if a person does one bad thing and ten good things - does that mean they are forever tainted by the one bad thing, no matter what else they may go on to do in life? This has nothing to do with Angelina because I don’t think she did anything bad. I’m more interested in the thought process that says you’re tainted for life regardless of any good you might subsequently do.

That is a very harsh and judgmental belief system because the believer is necessarily saying that they have NEVER done anything wrong or bad. Otherwise they should be condemning themselves for their own wrongdoings in the past and future!

No, she didn’t jillie. She just said she doesn’t have any movies lined up for now. And I’m going to nit pick. She said movies. She didn’t say that she wasn’t still going to do photoshoots for St. John’s, with whom she IS STILL conctractually obligated to represent. She didn’t say that she wouldn’t do promotion for AMH, which, she’s conctractually obligated to do. Nope. Just said no movies right now. She hasn’t signed onto the dotted line for any movies. Meaning she’s not contractually obligated.

Let’s give the haters/FF heffers a bit of leeway to continue to hang themselves. And show a bit of compassion. It’s been a tough week for them.

Angelina and Brad have another addition to their ever growing family. Another bond for life, if you will. Angelina has spelled out that their family is the most important thing and NOT making movies. Just one more nail in their already, nailed shut coffin.

Oh, and O13 is going to be the opening movie at Cannes. And that there is a very good chance that AMH will make it’s premiere there too and that from what people have seen of the dallies of this movie, Angelina is well on her way to another Oscar nomination.

It is a well known fact that Brad and Angie love children. I am optimistic that there is good coming out of this family. Angie’s modelling for Saint John is good. Photo shoot only takes a day or even shorter than that.

Jennifer Aniston should not be a mother for now. I do not see her having the desire to be one. I am not saying she is a bad person. One has the right to choose a career over family. She did choose career, fame and money. Good for her.

Some poster said Angie should stay home with the children. Saying this is an insult to all the working mom. As I said before, a good mom is not 24/7.

We dont live a stone age anymore. Many woman combine motherhood and career. Many women are highly educated. They combine motherhood and career successfully and beautifully. Think Elizabeth Vargas (ABC newswoman). She just had a baby. She is planning to go back to work in a few months.

Being a working mother is not fun and game. But it is definitely manageable. You just have to be efficient. I applaude Angie’s as a working mom. I wish her success. I see her alternating parenthood with Brad. We see Brad filming Ocean’s 13 while Angie staying home for the children. Now I see Brad hanging out with the kids while Angie makes movie. This is excellent. You can find fault on that.

Another reason for woman combining motherhood with careeris that a person works because of intellectual stimulation and professional satisfaction. Think Bill Gates, he is the richest man, yet he is still the CEO of Microsoft.

What ever happend to the idea of making a photography book from the “Domestic Bliss” W photoshoot?

There was a dcumentary on Films Greatest Fashion Icons and who their modern day counterpart would be. The discussions were all about style, elegance, blah, blah…(LOL) by costume desingers, fashion designers, magazine editors… Brad & Angelina made the list as modern versions of the icons. On the top 15 list of greatest fashion icons #9 was Steve McQueen. The experts on the documentary picked Brad as his contemporary counterpart. Brigitte Bardot was #7 on the list and her contemporary was Angelina. I never thought about it before, but yeah when they were pointing out the similarities..it was like oh, ok. The #13 icon was Grace kelly and they chose Gwynnie as her modern counterpart. #2 Film fashion icon was Cary Grant and yep, George Clooney was chosen as his contemporary. No surprise there. The number 1 film fashion icon was no surprise..it was Audrey Hepburn, but what was surprising was that no one was chosen as her contemporay. There is no modern equivalent to her.

HOLLYWOOD star Angelina Jolie put her arms around the shy toddler and whispered the Vietnamese phrase, “Khong sao dau, khong sao dau”.
These words of comfort, meaning “no problem, no problem”, were the first that newly-adopted three-year-old Pax Thien Jolie would hear from the stranger who was now his mum.

Today, Pax is adapting to an A-list life in America with a world-famous father in Brad Pitt and his three new brothers and sisters. Pax might have been bashful in the orphanage, but staff say that he got on well with the other children there, so he should have few problems when introduced to his new siblings.

They also say that he is football mad - which should please new dad Brad who last year told the Mirror that how he wanted enough children to form a “soccer team”.

And the youngster, whose favourite food is fried noodles and yoghurt, has started learning English - he can already count from one to 10 for his new mum. But what else awaits him?

Stepping into Brad and Angelina’s life is like walking into a world museum, according to one friend of the actress who says: “They’ve always said that they want their children to be citizens of the world and they’re starting that education young.

“Angie wants her kids to grow up understanding the world they live in and she and Brad are starting where it counts - at home.
“It’s definitely not your typical American family.”

That’s no understatement. The couple - who have homes in LA and New Orleans - have taken control of almost every aspect of their children’s lives in a bid to make them truly international citizens.
Everything from their education and meals to even playtime is planned to the last detail, leading some observers to dub the family “Angelina’s Benetton brood”.

Their eldest boy, five-year-old Maddox, who Angelina adopted from Cambodia in 2002, goes to a normal school, but he also has tutors on hand to teach him his native language.

BECAUSE of his mum’s globetrotting lifestyle, Maddox’s teachers often accompany him and his sisters - two-year-old Zahara (or “Zee”) and 10-month-old Shiloh - all over the world. “Angelina has decided she doesn’t want her children to be just American kids,” adds the friend of the 31-year-old Tomb Raider actress. “The children are being taught their own languages and about their own cultures as well. The most important thing is that Brad and Angelina make learning fun.
“They are certain that all the kids will get enough exposure to American culture just by living in the US and interacting with other American kids at school.”

It means the couple’s only biological child, Shiloh, who was born in Namibia last May, will learn about both African and US cultures - as will Zahara, who was adopted in Ethiopia in 2005.

Even what the kids eat reflects Brad and Angelina’s views. Children’s fast food favourites like hamburgers, French fries and sugary soft drinks are out, with the emphasis placed on grains, salads and vegetables instead. “Angelina makes a point to feed her kids all different types of foods,” continues the friend. “She goes to an Asian market in LA to stock up on noodles, dumplings, seaweed and sushi. She even goes out of her way to buy fruit native to Asia. “They love eating together as a family. At tea time, Zee sits in her high chair, putting her hands in her spaghetti - her favourite dish - and it goes all over her, in her hair, all over the floor. She sits there playing with it while Brad and Angie just let her. They say, ‘Aw, Zee’s happy’ and leave her to it. They think it”s letting her be expressive.”

Angelina in particular holds strong opinions about allowing the children to “express their personalities”. And if that means breaking some parenting rules then so be it. As the friend says: “Angelina says she doesn’t want to restrict Maddox in any way. He wears what he wants, no matter what that may be. “One day last year, Angelina took him along to a photoshoot she was doing in Paris to advertise sunglasses.
Maddox decided he wanted to be a wolf. By the end of the day a bunch of adoring make-up artists had painted his face with make-up, streaked his hair white blond and painted his nails white and black to turn him into a wolf. He was running around and howling. Ange just smiled.”

When not filming, Brad and Angelina are often spotted in a small LA suburb dubbed Little Ethiopia, picking up CDs of traditional Ethiopian music. Their distinctly unconventional tastes are reflected in the New Orleans home they bought for £1.8million cash in January. Located in the city’s French Quarter and fitted with a huge spiral staircase, lift, gourmet kitchen and two-storey guesthouse. It is already filled with bookcases stuffed with language books covering everything from Mandarin, Tagalong and Russian. “Brad also bought a huge globe and a world atlas which are in the living room,” says one friend. “As for religion, he and Angelina are exposing them to just about everything - Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism and Hindi. “Angie says they are going to leave it up to the kids to decide which religion they are most comfortable with.”

AS Angelina, who was appointed a UN Goodwill Ambassador in 2001, says: “We want each kid to know their country’s religions and to feel some responsibility. “We’d like to have a base in the States but I’d like to have a base somewhere else, too. I’d love to send the kids to an international school and live in the middle of nowhere in Africa or Asia, just coming in for work.”

Twice-married Angelina is renowned for her bohemian lifestyle, but their existence is a world away from 43-year-old Brad’s small-town upbringing in Missouri. Despite this, the star of hit movies including Fight Club and Se7en is taking fatherhood extremely seriously. He prepares meals for the children and enjoys quad biking with Maddox and playing with remote-controlled cars. “Brad’s taken a few cooking lessons so he could learn how to prepare foods from different parts of the world,” says the friend. “Angelina wears the trousers in the relationship and Brad is happy to go along with anything that will make her happy. “She’s quite a tempestuous person and there are times when they have the odd argument, but despite what some people have been saying, they’re madly in love.”

Angelina’s temper is said to have erupted during the adoption of Pax when the exasperated actress repeatedly woke up Brad in America with phone calls. “He very much wanted her to wait until he was through with the movie he was filming, but she just went right ahead with signing the adoption papers. Brad said to her, ‘Angie, you just never follow the script’.” She ended up having to defend her decision to adopt again to local reporters, telling them: “Everyone would agree that children need to have a family. I have the ability to help children to fulfil that desire - why should I say no?”

Certainly her and Brad’s new Louisiana home has been decorated with their brood in mind. The children share a huge bedroom, specially designed by their father, a budding architect. Dominated by a world map with their native countries marked, it is also adorned by trinkets from the places the youngsters were born - including a painting by renowned Ethiopian artist Afework Tekle.

Angelina hopes that bringing up her children in such an international household will see one of them will grow up to be a UN ambassador.
It is into this strange but loving home that a young lad from Ho Chi Minh City will be welcomed in the next few weeks.

266 Tatian is at it again implying that Angelina “picked” Pax. Here is a quote from the her post on the site listed on #266. Obviouosly once again she has her facts wrong and is unaware of the Jolie Pitts were given Pax’ file and did not choose him from several. Here is the quote and the implication to wrong doing. She is such a stirrer. “So do I think celebrities should receive preferential treatment when it comes to adoption? I’m not sure how to answer this. See, the thing is, she did not ask YOU to admire her AT ALL. The day she does, then tell her off and tell her how you can’t admire someone who has gone through addictions in their life cause of course NO ONE in your life ever has gone through an addiction or will go through one. You know what, you better pray real real hard you or no member of your family ever becomes addicted to anything (be it drugs, alcohol, etc), cause you know life is full of ironies.

Of course the naysayers refuse to understand that rumors of marital strife surfaced in 2002 and then both Brad and his ex wife, with their own words, let some doozies slip through, that things just might not be well in Golden Couple Land.

As Brad said, if the media had done their job and been interested in the true story, they’d have found out that Brad’s marriage was all but done. But, nope, if it wasn’t scandalous, they didn’t want to print it.

This board is not like Perez hilton or D-listed or TMZ or FF etc where nasty comments are left on all sides. I like this site because comments that are saying nasty things about children, wishing people dead, calling people ugly names etc are deleted.

Unwarranted censorship has always been a pet peeve of mine. I found this piece from Erica answering a question on Brad, Angie and __ if anyone is interested:

It is very interesting to me that people constantly say things like “Angelina is not the saint everyone thinks she is.” When has Angelina ever claimed to be a saint? Never.

These same people go on to laud Jennifer Aniston as though she were. Well guess what? She isn’t a saint either. Jennifer and Brad were having issues two years into their marriage. They did go through a period of counseling and it didn’t work. Every marriage is not made in heaven. Angelina did not break up this “not so perfect” marriage. It was already on its way to the finish line. There were a lot of issues and unfortunately for the dream weavers and the fairytale believers, Angelina was not one of them.

If people would take an “honest” look back over the years and pay attention to the comments made by both Brad and Jennifer prior to “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” they will see that the Red Carpet façade was just that…a façade. They weren’t happy and David Arquette knows that. He had no business discussing something that didn’t involve him. He only used Brad, Angelina and Jennifer to boost interest in his own lame career.

If he was shocked by Brad’s supposed infidelity and taking sides with Ms. Aniston then why did he spend every chance he got at the GG after party babbling in Brad’s ear. I’ll tell you why; because no matter what anyone thinks, Brad is one of the most powerful men in Hollywood. His production company alone puts him in the driver’s seat and David knows this. He and his wife can’t afford to insult or alienate the Jolie-Pitts.

Maybe Jennifer didn’t cry around him but we all know, by her own words that she did. Or was that as so many other things she’s said a lie as well? The Arquettes need to get their story straight with Aniston before doing interviews.

As for Angelina, she doesn’t need to “steal” anyone’s man. She’s a multi award winning actress, a loving mother, an awarded and dedicated humanitarian who happens to be on friendly terms with some of the world’s most powerful leaders. These men and women (General Colin Powell, Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice, Former President Bill and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, Queen Noor of Jordan, President Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan, President of the Republic of Namibia, Sam Nujoma, Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi of Japan, Prime Minister of Kuwait, HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah) and others.

She has multi million dollar modeling contract that allows her to create a charity and donate the proceeds to the less fortunate and she has given quite a bit of her personal time and money to causes that have otherwise been ignored. No one wants to give but everyone wants to criticize this young woman at every turn. Sure she led a very wild and destructive existence in her teens and early 20s, but she’s grown up now. That is what Pitt saw. Someone more interested in helping others instead of herself…a path he obviously wanted to walk.

To fans, celebrity friends and the casual observer…it has been two years; we all need to just get over it. Pitt and Aniston were not the answer or the model for the perfect couple. They posed as the “Golden Couple” when in reality they were just Mr. and Mrs. Pitt, going through the same issues most divorced couples went through.

I plan to give them a call. I’ve called a couple of agencies so far, the price is outrageous in the $3,700 for the 3 months trip. Anything I can save, I can use that money$ for shopping during my tour!:)
