OlderAngelina Jolie Carries Son Pax
Angelina Jolie carries her newly adopted son Pax Thien Jolie, 3, as she rushes to a VIP room at the Tan Son Nhat airport on Morning morning in Ho Chi Minh city, southern Vietnam.
The pair was escorted under a big umbrella held by her personal security officer Mickey Brett.
According to Us Weekly, the mother-of-four checked out of their hotel in Ho Chi Minh City at around 2 p.m. and left behind their toys to be given away to needy children.
The Oscar-winning actress and her children — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh – are traveling to Hanoi, the Vietnamese capital, to complete the procedures necessary to take Pax to his new home in the United States.
Angelina is expected to meet with U.S. Embassy officials Tuesday to apply for a visa for 3-year-old Pax. Once the visa is issued, she can take him to L.A. She is expected to leave Hanoi on Wednesday.
How cute does Pax look wearing his hat backwards? What a punk. I love it!!

Pax’s last name isn’t Jolie-Pitt because he was adopted by Angelina Jolie. It is against Vietnamese law for unmarried couples to adopt a child; however, a parent can give consent to allow a significant other to adopt her child. Please reference Angelina giving her consent to Brad to adopt Maddox and Zahara.

Even though Brad was there at the first meeting with Pax and it is an open secret that Pax is going to be Brad’s son, it would be bad form (tasteless and improper) to flaunt it, in light of the law about commom-law adoption. What happens next time an unmarried couple wants to adopt? The vietnamese govt. could not say no, as Angie and Brad would come back to haunt them. I think that’s the main reason Brad is not there. Not work. Even when you are bending the law, one can’t be too bold-faced about it. And that’s probably the main reason Brad and Angie may get married sooner, rather later, officialdom and the little embarassing maments such as this one.

I normally don’t post messages, but I have to say it’s really refreshing to see a celebrity who is honestly trying to make a difference in the world. Rather than spending all of her time partying, shopping and vacationing, she devotes both her time and her money to humanitarian efforts. That’s incredibly admirable and I wish her much success not only with her expanding family, but with her charitable works as well.

Angelina Jolie is one step closer to bringing her new son, Pax Thien, home from Vietnam.
The actress, 31, flew to Hanoi on Monday to complete the procedures necessary to bring the 3-year-old back with her to the United States, the Associated Press reports. The two had spent a quiet weekend in Ho Chi Minh City.
On Tuesday, Jolie is expected to meet with U.S. Embassy officials to deal with the visa application for Pax.
Once the visa is issued, she will be able to take him to America. She is expected to leave Hanoi on Wednesday, according to the AP.
Once in the U.S., Pax, whom Jolie adopted from the Tam Binh orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, will join new siblings Maddox, 5 (who accompanied Jolie to Vietnam), Zahara, 2, and 10-month-old Shiloh, as well as Jolie’s partner, Brad Pitt.

Ever since she was young she has wanted to adopt children, Jolie said in an interview published Friday in a Vietnamese newspaper.
“Everyone would agree that children need to have a family,” the paper quoted the Oscar-winning actress as saying. “I have the ability to help children fulfill that desire. Why should I say no?”

I am going to answer regarding why Brad stayed so long with “that woman.”
I can tell you that sometimes when you are in a marriage, there are so many things that go on that you cannot put your finger on one particularly thing that makes you wnat to leave. You just know that you are not happy and is growing increasingly so. But still you are not at the make or break stage because after all as the mini van majority would say “marriage is forever.” However, one day something happens - you have a moment of unbelievable clarity- it could be meeting someone else, needing the person and they are not there for you or you finally realize that you have been asking for a family and your wife keeps putting it off and you finally realize that her putting it off for so long, could mean she DOES NOT want them with you or at all. It is at this moment you act, because you realize that you and your partner have fundamental differences that CANNOT be overcome. Why did I say cannot, because after SO MANY YEARS with the person, if you are not able to understand where each other stands in regards to important issues - your marriage/relationship is doomed because you do not trust or will no longer trust that person to understand you.
So, Brad acted, and there you have it.
One more thing - maybe its because I find that woman so repulsive that I have to say that staying with someone for seven years means that he found her appealing. Brad was a strong believer in marriage. You guys want to cast him aside as this amoral person but he is a stand up guy. The fact that he stayed so long is a testament to his commitment not necessarily her appeal. But because you Fanistons like to see things from your Aniston-colored glasses you forget like her to honor Brad.

Myself, I think you are right, that is was an issue of Trust. I think (I don’t know of course), that Brad felt that in the end he didn’t trust Jennifer. There was an interview where he talks, half jokingly about how Jennifer talks to her friends about private things he told her and how it drove him crazy. I think he also stopped trusting Jennifer’s promises to start a family. It wasn’t about Jennifer not wanting babies, it was about Jennifer not sticking to her word about having them.

1. It’s typical regulation of a minimum 2 years marriage for adoption in most places. With this said , AJ will complete PAX adoption and a single , then Brad will file for adoption of PAX just like Z and Madd.
2. once PAX joins the J-P family in LA, the wedding plans and second bio baby plans will resume .. likely conceive in summer due in early 2008
3. AJ & Brad will try for bio baby while waiting for the 2 years regulatory min period before starting the next adoption.

Ok, if we have the wrong impression of Jolie it is not the end of the world but if we have the wrong impression of the war in Iraq or Chechnya then it is very worrying. Where we need the media anymore if we cannot trust what it is saying?
One other thing is very interesting. I am not from US(as you can see from my english) and I find it very odd how US people treat Jolie. She is the most admirable and intelligent (and controversal) celebrity I know and her fellow citizens criticize her from brother kissing, homewrecking (family is destroyed from within not without) and drug history. No one is a prophet in his own country but I think she is the most underestimated persons living. After reading some of her UNCHR notes (you can find them from UNCHR homepage) and watching her interviews I have learned more and more about her incredible personality. I love to be a fan of a person who gets people so mad and happy at the same time. She gets people to think and that’s the point. She has that something what so many people here in justjared defend. She is a woman par excellence.

Jolie arrived from Ho Chi Mionh City by private jet with Pax, 3, and Cambodian-born Maddox, 5, at Hanoi’s Noi Bai airport late in the afternoon, according to Chu Van Nguyet, deputy director of the airport authority.
“She looks tall, thin and beautiful and was smiling very happily,” said Nguyet, who added that she was traveling with an entourage of three security guards and two female assistants.
“The children were sleeping when our people helped her take them from the jet to the car.”
Dozens of reporters and photographers gathered at the airport hoping to get a glimpse of the “Tomb Raider” star, but she managed to elude them as she has since arriving in Ho Chi Minh City last week to pick up Pax from a local orphanage.
Jolie, 31, was expected to go to the US embassy later in the week to pick up a US passport and visa - the last step before taking him home to her partner, Brad Pitt.
Her latest adoption brings her international family with Pitt to four children.
Pax joins 5-year-old Maddox, adopted from Cambodia; Zahara, aged two, from Ethiopia; as well as baby Shiloh - the couple’s biological daughter who was born in Namibia last May.
Pitt has been reported to be making a movie in the US and could not come to Vietnam with Jolie, who signed the adoption papers as a single parent because Vietnamese regulations do not allow unmarried couples to co-adopt.

inquiries regarding Angelina Jolie’s adoption from Vietnam.

Throughout her adoption process, which began in the summer of 2006, she has received no preferential treatment from the Vietnamese government or Adoptions From The Heart, and, contrary to earlier reports, her application was not fast-tracked.
Despite rumors that she chose her child, Ms. Jolie received a referral, just like any other parent adopting from Vietnam. In late 2006, she was referred a child who had been legally determined to be available for adoption and who fit within the parameters for which she had been approved to adopt.
She accepted the first and only referral given to her.
In addition, we can confirm the statement given by Nguyen Van Trung, Director of Tam Binh Orphanage, that Ms. Jolie has neither made, nor promised to make, any financial contributions to his orphanage.
Adoptions From The Heart celebrates the miracle of adoption with the Jolie-Pitt family, as we do with all of our clients, and wishes them much joy.”
Background:
• Adoptions From The Heart (AFTH) is a licensed, non-profit agency offering domestic and international adoption. Based in Wynnewood, Pa., a Philadelphia suburb, the agency has 12 offices, and is licensed in PA, NJ, DE, VA, WV and NY, and approved to place children with
families in CT.
• Founded in 1985, by Maxine Chalker, an adoptee herself and former adoption social worker, who serves as executive director. AFTH has earned a reputation for pioneering innovative services to improve the overall adoption process, including being one of the first agencies on the East Coast more than a decade ago to begin offering the option of international adoption - well ahead of the rapidly growing trend. Today, AFTH works with orphanages throughout Asia, Europe and South America.
• AFTH had placed 250 Vietnamese children from 1995 to 2003, when the Vietnamese government closed the program. In April 2006, when Vietnam reopened adoption to the U.S., AFTH received became licensed in Ho Chi Minh City to place children. Since then, 30 families have completed adoptions through AFTH; 22 others are in various stages of the process currently with referrals, and still more are on a waiting list.
• AFTH currently works with four orphanages in Vietnam, including Tam Binh, from which Angelina Jolie adopted.
• AFTH facilitators work directly with the Department of International Adoption (DIA) in Hanoi, the Ministry of Justice and the orphanages to process the required paperwork and help facilitate adoptions through the Vietnamese government. In Vietnam, facilitators escort families to appointments with USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services), the U.S. Embassy and required doctor visits. They arrange tours and generally accommodate families’ needs while they are in Vietnam.
• AFTH has provided ongoing humanitarian aid to the orphanages with which it works, including such current projects as helping to offset daily expenses at Tam Binh orphanage, and funding construction of a new emergency room at Go Vap orphanage, creation of a “milk room” that connects to the infant room at Thi Nghe orphanage, and the purchase of new furniture for the Picasso orphanage.
• Jolie was referred to AFTH by Jane Aronson, MD, a New York-based pediatrician who specializes in adoption medicine and treated Jolie’s Ethiopian adopted daughter Zahara.

While Jolie’s adoption of Pax last week caused, as expected, a worldwide media sensation, the actress did her best to quell the interest in her new brood over the weekend, keeping as low a profile as she could with Pax and five-year-old Maddox in Ho Chi Minh City.
The trio reportedly spent the weekend holed up in their hotel room in the city center, no doubt forging some familial bonds away from prying media eyes.
On Friday, Jolie told the Ho Chi Minh City Law newspaper that she was sorry for exposing to Pax to such a frenzy so early on, saying the hype “will make him upset. I’m very worried about that. I would like to say I’m sorry for bringing this into Pax’s life.”
Jolie and Maddox touched down in Ho Chi Minh City last Wednesday. By Thursday morning, she had picked up her new son, whose pre-adoption name was Pham Quang, at the Tam Binh orphanage, where he was taken directly after his birth in November 2003 after being found abandoned at a local hospital.

Another day and here you are AGAIN. For someone who claims to hate Angie, you are totally obsessed with her and how she lives her life. Like the lady on Showbiz Tonight said, there are people who are intimidated by Angelina Jolie because she lives her life the way she sees fit and doesn’t give a damn what the masses think and those are the people prone to alot of criticism of her, and I believe you are one of those intimidated people. See, you are a hateful person and the thing that my pastor said that ‘what you criticize in others is invariably true in yourself’. I think there is something that you hate in yourself and something about Angie brings that out. So, the next best thing is to attack her, her children, her choices. The good thing is that God knows and loves Angie and he will take care of her and her family. The more you spew your hate, the more blessings you send Angie’s way. Just look at past examples, people spew all kinds of hate toward her in 2005, calling her all sorts of names in the media, magazines, and what happens in Angie’s life? 1. It’s typical regulation of a minimum 2 years marriage for adoption in most places. With this said , AJ will complete PAX adoption and a single , then Brad will file for adoption of PAX just like Z and Madd.
2. once PAX joins the J-P family in LA, the wedding plans and second bio baby plans will resume .. likely conceive in summer due in early 2008

Here’s a question - Cliniqua, surely you realize that Brad Pitt was with Aniston for almost 7 years and that ((((that)))) must mean that Brad Pitt found something appealing about her.
Yes he did find something appealing about her. In the wake of being publicly humiliated by Paltry, being betrayed and getting his heart stomped on and flushed, Maniston’s simple tv sit-com ordinariness and the non-threatening casualness and comfort was what was appealing to Brad. With Maniston, he was NOT at the mercy of his own emotions and feelings. He controlled it. He was master simply because the level of passion and the depth of feeling was NOT there with Maniston. Sadly, this kind of controlled relationship based on friendship and companionship, is what he THOUGHT he wanted. Brad had no desire to be hurt again. That is why he selected Maniston - Brad knew she could NEVER hurt him in that way, therein lay her appeal. He was in control of his heart, and he maintained possession at all times during their union, and never wavered. Until Angelina Jolie that is, she walked right up to him, and gently took his heart. She has it forever - it will be as safely guarded and loved as those babies of hers. :-) That’s why Brad has nothing to worry about, and he knows it. :-)

Did people hate Aniston because she was with Brad Pitt? Nope.
No, as someone so ably pointed out earlier - Maniston is the lowly talentless tv sit-com hack who is none too attractive, yet still nabs the prince. Many people identify with her, because they can achieve her claim to fame - they can wear the same outfits, get the same haircut - and oftentimes, they’ll look better than her doing it. She was accessible in their mind’s eye, if not in reality (In real life, she is known as a b*tch who thinks her fans are beneath her according to Perez — see his Howard Stern interview).
People dislike Jolie because she is who she is - and I used to love her, however, hearing her speak tells me what a grand hypocrite she is. I thought she was honest about her sh*t - and always seemed to cop to f*cking up or whatever. But Jolie has appeared to become extremely righteous and indignant about certain things that contradict her ACTIONS. So, that alone makes me question her character and I don’t think she is truly altruistic - because she always has to alert the press - she managed to keep below the radar for the past 8-9 months where no one knew she was adopting yet all of a sudden when she goes there again, cameras are everywhere?
We get it. No. Really. We do. You hate her because she’s beautiful, and good and compassionate…she makes you feel ugly, and bad about yourself - hence the hate. I think Jolie inspires over the top hate from some of these haters and fanistons because, it’s one thing to be confronted by the given that other women are more beautiful than you - that many women know they can do NOTHING about. They just have to take it. However, when these self same haters ALSO see Angelina accomplishing so much, professionally (Oscars, GGs, etc), and on the humanitarian front - it’s then the hate goes over the edge, as they can excuse their ugly face as being no fault of their own (or at least blame their parents) - but there is no one to blame for sitting n your fat do-nothing homely ass and not helping people as Jolie does. That’s when they start foaming at the mouth, and they go into ‘take down Angelina Jolie’ mode. Afterall, if they can somehow deride what she’s doing, find fault or even worse - their way of thinking is that at least on the philanthropic and charitable giving front, they won’t be made to look and feel like such lazy shiftless bums. That’s the ‘Analysis of a Hater’ thesis of mine, in a nutshell.
Riiiight. Of course that’s just one example - her and Pitt are constantly yakking about themselves and on mag covers galore.
They ‘yak’ when they are promoting movies, and philanthropic causes. Maniston ‘yaks’ when she has a hangnail.
Surely you can see that if Pitt was with one grand manipulator it’s not too much of a stretch for him to be with another - you’d have to question his character to begin with!!
It’s not too much of a stretch to imagine any one of us being manipulated. Brad is no exception. So he didn’t figure on Maniston going for broke, stabbing him in the back and torching her own career. That’s not so much manipulation as it is sheer stupidity. But he probably already knew she wasn’t all that bright, he just had no idea how deeply dumb she was.
Being with Aniston for so long - chr***!!!! What does it say about him - it’s not like he couldn’t have anyone he wanted aaaaalllll those years. Do you think he didn’t see how Aniston was? I think he did see it and he was the same way!!!! I mean c’mon!!!! Their all the gawddamn same!
What it says about him is that he believed her sad sack story of abandonment as a child being responsible for her current insecurities and issues - it ALSO says that at some point during that time, the thing that drove him into the arms of a ‘pal,’ named ‘Man’ on the rebound…..just dissipated. It went away. So he was left with a big empty hole, and a large degree of guilt, which Maniston manipulated until his career went stagnant and his only appearances were trailing down the red carpet watching her lose another award to Patricia Heaton. Good times. If the man hadn’t gotten out of that relationship when he did, I don’t know what he would have done. I know he was like a dead man walking while IN the marriage, and upon being released he looked and sounded as if he had won the mega millions, stumbled over the pot of gold, and tripped over a leprechan granting 300 wishes…the man was relieved, ecstatic and joyful beyond belief. Eagerly looking forward to getting on with his life….and boy, has he. :-)

Angelina Jolie a Beautiful Woman Persecuted

Angelina Jolie is a decent human being. She donates one third of her enormous salary to her causes, and truly cares about humanity. So why is she being persecuted negatively by various media types, and other so-called celebrities? Because she is drop dead gorgeous. It doesn’t matter that she is with Brad Pitt. Those two were meant to be together, because they respect each other. People are jealous of their relationship, and the media has tried to make their love a circus. If she weren’t such a rare beauty, the cattiness wouldn’t be so severe, but women and even some men, are green with envy. The claws come out because of this. Brad Pitt was more than ready to go his own way before they met, and when he met Angelina, he met a woman with a heart and someone with a sense of pride in his endeavors and other interests aside from acting, like architecture and charity work.
Now why would people even attempt to make negative comments about them, aside from the fact that they make a pathetic living doing so? Because they will never have a relationship with Brad Pitt, who is one of a kind as well, and they will never be as beautiful as Angelina. Some well-known talk show hosts and reporters have said some very catty things about her, and it makes one wonder just when respectable journalism went out the window and shoddy reporting became the norm. If anything, these vultures should be criticized for their megalomaniac persona’s that go against the code of ethics journalists are suppose to adhere to. They can’t attack Angelina’s true character, because she is decent. Who knows what skeletons are in their closets? They can’t attack her talent, because she has plenty of that, an Oscar to prove it. But they can go after the woman, and it is so pathetic to hear about her eyeliner, her being “too sexy” (as if there is such a thing) or how she poses on the red carpet, some calling it pompous.
Of course she holds her head up high, she has a lot to be proud of, and isn’t about to hide in the house away from media twits. For the lay people out there that don’t make their living following the graceful and poised Angelina and Brad like little lap dogs, don’t be jealous of what they have. Try to emulate what they do. It is great to see celebrities doing so much more with their money than buying Rolexes, cars and mansions. If anything these two people should be praised, not persecuted, period.
Okay, we need some positive stuff in this place. These are never before seen pictures of BAZS on the day of their last walk in NO. Here’s the recipe Guli, enjoy!
Chicken tinga
Ingredients for the tinga:
1 chicken breast (2 halves) - cooked and pulled chicken meat
4 Roma tomatoes
1 medium white onion, sliced
1 chipotle chile [pepper] (from a can of “Chipotles adobados”)
1 garlic clove
oil
salt
Optional:
Tostadas (round, hard, fried corn tortillas) you can use hard shells for tacos
1 avocado, sliced
sour cream
Preparation:
In the blender put the diced roma tomatoes, garlic clove and half of the chipotle chile, blend. Heat oil in a pot; fry the sliced onion until glazed (translucent), add the blended tomatoes, salt to taste and let simmer for 2 minutes. Add the pulled chicken meat and the rest of the chipotle chile finely sliced. Let cook for 6 - 8 minutes, stirring a couple of times, add chicken stock if it gets to dry.
The tinga should not be soupy (liquid).
4 (medium) portions
Serving:
Serve the tinga on a tostada, add sour cream on top, garnish with avocado slices.
Warning: chipotle chiles are very hot, you may want to use less , the original recipe had 2 chiles – that was too much for me.
You can find tostadas and canned chipotle chiles at any Hispanic store and in many supermarkets in the US.
