Angelina Jolie Carries Son Pax

Angelina Jolie Carries Son Pax

Angelina Jolie carries her newly adopted son Pax Thien Jolie, 3, as she rushes to a VIP room at the Tan Son Nhat airport on Morning morning in Ho Chi Minh city, southern Vietnam.

The pair was escorted under a big umbrella held by her personal security officer Mickey Brett.

According to Us Weekly, the mother-of-four checked out of their hotel in Ho Chi Minh City at around 2 p.m. and left behind their toys to be given away to needy children.

The Oscar-winning actress and her children — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh – are traveling to Hanoi, the Vietnamese capital, to complete the procedures necessary to take Pax to his new home in the United States.

Angelina is expected to meet with U.S. Embassy officials Tuesday to apply for a visa for 3-year-old Pax. Once the visa is issued, she can take him to L.A. She is expected to leave Hanoi on Wednesday.

How cute does Pax look wearing his hat backwards? What a punk. I love it!!

Is that Angelina’s assistant Holly Goline in the bottom-left?

Thank you Iylian, ITA… She never said she was not going to work again, but for now she is going to be SAHM… Of course she is going to work when Brad is taking a break. BTW-hello ;-)

Anyway, it never ceases to amaze me how a millisecond of a picture can tell a million stories - suddenly everyone is an expert in analyzing what people thinking in that moment, not to mention, everyone seems to have some kind of parental opinions….I do not think anyone of us wants to be lectured at, about how we raised our children.

Just because Brad and Angelina are actors, it doesn’t mean that they are clueless and incapable of raising their children properly, according to what they think is best - I bet you, their children will grow up as sophisticated thinkers, and more enlightened than a lot of us. From what I see, their kids have all the comforts and love from their parents.

As for the people who spewed vicious and heinous words against Angelina and her children - These are awful words that only a wrathful person can do. It was obvious that whoever was spewing vile things, was projecting his/her own miseries and sufferrings. I pity those who cannot let go off their pain - their viciousness will poison the soul, and will take them to oblivion.

Wait curly. don’t go yet, I have two cats, I didn’t hear about this which brand please let me know!

Well, AJ is not going to fit in your idea of a regular mom. Why think she does her humanitarian work because of publicity? Why not because she is deeply moved by these people’s suffering and she feels she is compelled to do something about it? Do you think Shiloh is missing in love and care? If you were Pax, would you rather her stay with her kid and not reach out to adopt you? Actually I just remember a very good post by Lola. I am just going to paste it here for you.

My two cents:

I think people who dislike Angelina so much (aka “haters” but I’ll go with the word “critics” for now) are people that are thrown off by the different facets of her personality and life.

Angelina is not perfect and both fans and critics alike agree that she has had a “tumultous” past. People who today call her ugly names such as sl*t. wh*re, hypocrite, etc. tend to be those people who are incapable of taking who she is now and reconciling it with her past or other facets of her life. You will see this in the way they refer to her past actions/other parts of her life (like the vials of blood, not speaking to her father) and such to discredit all the good that she is doing or all the admirable traits she has. For example, to the critics, its unfathomable how a person who makes a living out of the glamorous Hollywood can be so at home in some of the most seemingly desolate places in the world pursuing charity work. They would rather believe that Angelina has ulterior motives rather than believe that a person is capable of straddling both worlds comfortably. They are confused that a woman who has the steel to withstand the cruel world of Hollywood can have such a soft heart for the down trodden.

Similarly, to critics, it is impossible that the once rebel wild child can turn into a loving mother and generous and kind-hearted human being. They would rather people stay rooted in reckless and destructive behavior rather than have them learn from their mistakes, grow and become better people.

The critics’ problem with Angelina is that she breaks stereotypes and has a way of making things neither black nor white but something in between. Therefore, to these critics, Angelina’s very existence threatens their world order or something. It makes it harder for them to pigeonhole people. In a way, the critics are very limited in the way they want to view the world. Critics are baffled when they look at how Angelina values family and then are confused by her not talking to her father. To them, this seeming inconsistency is hypocrisy on her part but they don’t stop to consider the possibility that there may be a common thread there that may reconcile the two aspects of her, such as, perhaps what Angelina values about family units (nurture, support, unconditional love) is something that her father destroys when he’s in her life (by being judgmental, belittling her publicly, being inconsistent etc.)

The critics are disillusioned that the seemingly fairy tale ending with Brad didn’t happen for Aniston–people’s favorite girl-next-door–but did for Angelina. They would rather believe that a match based on “prom king and queen” criteria is a better foundation for a relationship than a match based on shared values, outlook, goals etc.

We can cite many other things but really it seems to boil down that the critics are uncomfortable with things that do not neatly fit into a particular box, especially at first glance. They can’t handle that Angelina, one of the people doing the most good out there in the world, is not a homely, timid plain jane virgin who lives life sensibly/cautiously and conforms to everyone’s expectations but is instead a drop-dead gorgeous woman that has spunk, lives life to the fullest and generally shrugs off other people’s opinions on what she ought to do, say or think.

Angelina is complex and I think that’s what makes the critics hate her. Critics want to simplify her and reduce her to a one or two word adjective. but she is not susceptible to being summed up like that.

So to the critics, I suggest you stop trying and simply let her be. Angelina will not conform to the Victorian view that the only two types of women are virgins and wh*res. That attitude drove so many women insane with repressed emotions and desires back then and people that want to cling to that world view will suffer the same fate. The modern world is complex and it follows that the successful modern woman should be similarly complex to adapt to it. Hence why Angelina is where she is today.

What will you do your cats when you are going to TR?

~c.

Curly, are you back from Sarajevo, or are you going there? I just like to know about different places of the world.

ntt,

I will be leaving this weekend. It is business-related, so I have to show up in meetings. I will have my camera with me and planning to stroll in the early hours to take pics, just as I did last year in a small town in the Netherlands, Groningen (Kr-oh-nin-gen, very harsh Kr) If you would like to know I can tell you about Groningen.

Right at the moment, I am trying to prepare for the meetings with one eye and keeping my other eye who pees where, two cats, one is OK, the other is under watch. Another hour, and I think I will squeeze my cat on the litter box.

Great post ntt and NY Lurker— I think the reason I love Angie so much is because I was a wild child myself, you won’t believe the things I did when I was a teenager! But I grew up, changed, got my degree had three kids and have been married more than 20 years. So, people do and can change as opposed to being stuck acting like a teenager at the age of 38!!!

Curly, hubby can only come for three weeks and when he is gone my best friend comes over. I don’t only have cats, I have a Bichon, 2 water turtles, a 35 year old African Gray parrot(who doesn’t stop talking)and a bunny. I was telling Sheri I had a mini zoo and just sent her a picture of my zoo :lol: How have you been curly? Thanks my cats only eat 9 lives beef and liver mixed with dry food, but I’ll let my friends know..

((((ntt))))

Groningen is a small town located north of Holland. Unlike the rest of the country, the town has no windmills, but a very big tower, its claim to fame. There is a river, very green thanks to algae, circling the town center into an island, and lots of river-boat homes on it. The suburbs connect to town center with bridges, each bridge has very look-alike Gothic sculptures. The town center is very lively: a modern arts museum, a small building covered with 60s like mosaics, a town plaza filled with local farmers every day, and small shops, cafes, bookstores, circling the flower and produce market.

While I was there, it was the season for a luna-park (do you know the origins of luna-park? It is Italian.) The kids would be riding the monster looking wheels, and buy sweets. Another part of the town center is home to world-cuisine, Italian, Chinese, Thai, Indian, Cuban, Turkish. All are located closely. One can walk from one end of the island to the other end in approximately 20 minutes, while gawking to century old buildings. The University (of Groningen) is pretty big, located in town center, and the students enjoy classes in “Aula”s, very big classrooms where the ceilings are covered with cherubs, and all medieval paintings. The street names are long, very long to keep in mind. One street that I had to learn was named as Oude Boteringestraat.

The Dutch are pretty liberal when it comes to s-e-x, there were at least two red-light districts in town center. Not as “flashy” as the ones I saw in Amsterdam, but the first time I walked through the street, I thought first (i) wow! a mannequin selling underwear (ii) omg! the mannequin moved!

The only setback was this: Cafes and little shops would close by 6 pm, so dinner-out after this time would be close to impossible, only in bars. I had to buy my food from local grocery shops. And boy! was I hungry by the end of my trip.

I bought a nice red scarf as a souvenir from Groningen, did not notice it then, but the label is “made in India”. Global world.

I am like you in regards to exploring a`new place very early in the morning, when only the suppliers are at work, delivering goods to the local restaurants. The streets are still so empty you feel like you own the place. (A side note to BCBG for your trip to Paris. You have to walk around on the Ile de la Cite at dawn, it’s a wonderful experience. You will only see the locals. No tourists. You will see the bakers opening their shops, etc..) Curly, please tell us more about Sarajevo when you come back. I am very interested by that city.
Sorry your cats are not doing well. Hope they get well soon.

curly, you are funny “omg! the mannequin moved”, you know I was stunned when I drove by the red light district in Amsterdam as well. Hey have a nice trip and I hope your kitty is OK. What are the symptoms?

Whoever said people from HW don’t want to work with Brad and Angie ?

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++=

The same people that said, they’d only last for 6 months because it was just about sex. Who are now slipping and saying it’s not about sex, it’s just about the kids. LOL.

The same people that said Maddox and Zahara were her children and not Brad’s and they’ll never be Brad’s. Until that is, he adopted them.

The same people that said, she would never have his baby. Until, that is, she did.

The same people that said that they’re a joke in HW and everyone is whispering behind their back and no one want so work with them and their careers are over. Until, well, everyone and their grandma wants to work with them both in front of and behind the cameras.

The same ones that throw around the word karma, like it’s ONLY a bad thing.
____________

Oh Please, that was funny. hahahahaha

Oops BCBG, I meant Ile Saint Louis, for the atmosphere. I think Ile de la Cite is where they have the flower market early everyday, and the pet market on Saturdays. That’s where Notre Dame is.

Guli,

One of my cats is now sleeping on my arms while I am typing in between her paws. I have a friend here to exchange cat-sitting, I will take care of hers this week, she will visit mine while I am gone. I am fretting over the possibility of taking my cats with me to Turkey this summer. It is a long flight, I do not want them in the cargo, but I do not want to go into arguments, one is quite vocal.

Been fine so far, working a lot. I will be off to Turkey in mid-April, for a two week trip. Then hopefully it is all travel until late July. After that, I am moving to Turkey for good. Ok, somebody is walking to cat litter box. Talk to you later,
~c.

False alarm, they never want to attend their private business while I wait nearby. Wonder why.

The condition is kidney failure, chronic renal failure, and the symptoms are i. appetite loss, ii. increased water intake iii. increased urination iv. vomiting v.lethargy . It is not curable but manageable in the long run.

So far the best case scenario is the cat was stressed out during the blood test, the worst case is she is developing CRF. My heart goes out to pet owners who lost their pets. I read some heartbreaking accounts.

~c.

Thanks Curly for the description of Groningen. I hope one day to visit it. I can’t say that I visited Amsterdam, but I did have a 6 hour layover in Amsterdam once. I went to visit the Floriade (I can’t remember exactly, but it was an international exhibit happening once every 10 years) I wish I had gone to see the flower fields of (what’s that name? I think it starts with a K) instead, even though they did have a lot of blooming tulips at the Floriade. Ah Ha! and am curious to see those “moving mannequins”. ;)

Good morning. just back from visiting London to find I need to change my name yet again. Welcome, Pax! Reading how worried Angelina is for him makes me sad. I can really see her point, because he is coming from a very cloistered existence, and is old enough to notice his surroundings and be frightened.

Are we BAMPZSers now?

Everyone in London, I loved your city and your country. Windsor Castle, St. Paul’s, Trafalger Square, the museums, shops, architecture, everything. The weather was so fantastic I don’t see why everyone said to bring umbrellas! And I plan to incorporate tea the way you do it whenever I can! Did you get the arctic weather today that was predicted? (Oh yeah, and even though I didn’t really enjoy traveling in or on the tube, I do appreciate it as a mass transport system. It was actually easy to follow, even for newcomers.)

Welcome back AddictedtoBAMPZS. You were lucky you had fair weather in London. I am no Londoner, only been there once for ten days, but did experience 2 days of light rain while I was there. I love that city too, especially the free admission to their fabulous museums.

BCBG—

Aniston could have financed her movie. But I guess she doesnt have any business acumen. All those times, it was Brad who is the mastermind of Plan B.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ITA— yep he definetly is the mastermind of Plan B. Not only that, he is the one who has all the connections with HW producers and directors. If the new movie “wanted” is true re AJ, thats great. Plus Morgan Freeman and Brad really like each other, I rememmber interviews where they both speak very highly of one another, which move did they work together in?
=========
Aniston doesn’t look like an intelligent , independent person. she’s so needy and dependent on other’s . How can she produced and coordinate a film.
AddictedtoBAMPZs—welcome back, yep I guess we are BAMPZSers :lol:
Iylian—I don’t know what happened and I swear I wasn’t drinking ;-) I fell a sleep around 8 pm and woke up at 2am, so here I am chatting way :lol: Well at least I don’t have to get up early tomorrow (wait I mean today)….
+++ Says: ITA, thats why she has nothing in the pipeline…
