OlderAngelina Jolie is a WANTED WOMAN!
Angelina Jolie will star next alongside James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman in Wanted, reports Variety.
Wanted is an action film from Universal Pictures based on a graphic novel that Timur Bekmambetov will direct.
Angelina accepted the role after the script was rewritten by Dean Georgaris (Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life) to tailor the character for her (script was originated by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas).
Angelina, 31, will play an assassin who trains a wanna killer (McAvoy) and will travel to Eastern Europe in May to begin shooting.
UPDATE :: Variety also reports that Brad Pitt will star in the Americanized version of the acclaimed British miniseries State of Play. Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland) will direct.

Wanted: Jolie to play assassin
ngelina Jolie is to play an assassin who takes a young novice played by James McAvoy under her wing in Wanted, an adaptation of a US graphic novel.
Wanted tells the story of a young man who discovers that his recently murdered father was an assassin. His dad’s partner in crime, played by Morgan Freeman, offers him the opportunity to seek revenge by joining the elite group of killers his father belonged to. Jolie will play one of McAvoy’s mentors. Filming on Wanted will begin in May in eastern Europe, under Kazakh-born director Timur Bekmambetov.
According to Variety, Wanted will be the next film Jolie works on. The actor is currently in Vietnam processing the adoption application of the latest addition to her family, a three-year-old boy whom Jolie is calling Pax Thien.
She will next be seen on cinema screens in A Mighty Heart as Mariane Pearl, the wife of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, who was kidnapped and murdered in Pakistan in 2002. The film, produced by Jolie’s partner Brad Pitt, is based on the account by Mariane Pearl of her husband’s life and death.

I thought haters(my bad critics) were only worried about Shiloh. Now it is Pax. I think that Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh will all be fine. It is a lot easier to worry about your own life rather than 2 doting parents who have money, time(you can only sit around waiting on a studio lot so long) and resources to take care of a Army of children. They will all be fine. AJ is a “wanted” actresss. She is a dream actress for a lot of directors and producers. They will throw her name out there, hoping she will bite and to get financing for their movie. BP and AJ know their schedule better than the people on blogs. Don’t hate, appreciate.
Jolie can take a time off to care for Pax until the end of the year when they start shooting these new projects. That’s more than half-a-year ahead. That should be enough time to settle Pax in. As a child I also was brought to Canada without a word of English when I was 4, then started to speak fluently within 6 months. Jolie said she is going to stay home to care for Pax adjust to the new environment. She didn’t say she was going to retire.

Seems to me like it might not be such a big deal. It’s not like she’s signed on to do the LOTR trilogy. Her role in filming might only last a couple weeks, and she and her fam lovely fam could vacation in Eastern Europe to boot. Plus, an A-lister like her can take her kids on set — she’s fortunate. For most of us “work” means being separated from our families.

I usually enjoy your Angie posts and I am a fan of you on the BAMPZS comments section, i have to get this off my chest.
You know I’m an Angelina fan too but remember when angie was younger, she was a mess and did drugs and was self destructive and now she has grown up and got her life together. Thats one of the things that I love about her the most. Angie is not by any means perfect and she wasn’t always a UN ambassador, there are many things she did in her life that i did not like but i supported her and i always felt that she would get her life together and reach her potential. Angie had a messed up or “wild” youth which she is not ashamed of but articles will never let anyone forget it and continue to bring it up in an attempt to undermine her achievements .
There are 2 celebs that i really really love and they are Nicole and Angie and you might not see the similarities between them but i do. Nicole is going though her rough parch but i really feel that if and hopefully when she reaches her potential she will be a really useful member of soceity. So for you to come to a Nicole Richie comments section just to call her a drug addict and anorexic when she is trying to get her live together is totally uncalled for. If you have nothing good to say and no real reason to hate someone then move on. I’m sorry we all can’t be perfect like you. I am really getting sick of the whiny babies that come on here to complain about every decision Brad and/or Angelina makes. The two have attached to Sheldon Turner’s upcoming adaptation of Kim Wozencraft’s novel “Wanted.”
Wozencraft is a former undercover narcotics agent best known for having penned Rush, the novel that became MGM’s 1991 Jason Patric and Jennifer Jason Leigh pic of the same name.
In Wozencraft’s “Wanted,” a female cop (Aniston) in Texas is framed for narcotics trafficking and sent to prison. Her cellmate is a war protester (Streep) who’s renounced violence, and the two plot an escape.

I’m at work and didn’t have a chance to research it or read it closely. Imagine both of them in movies named the same. Mmmm. This should be interesting.
Eastern Euope? Fabulous! A whole different vibe than Western Europe. Hopefully she will go to Hungary, Czech Republic or Russia to shoot. No doubt the paps will be there still but it’s a different experience. The whole family will be on the move again. Why don’t people realize that Brad & Angelina provide stability for their children by being with them and having the same routines all the time anywhere they travel? Bedtime at 8 is the same anywhere in the world. Cereal breakfast at 7 am is the same anywhere in the world. Lunch time, playtime, and Brad spending time before each child goes to sleep stays the same no matter where they are in the world. Stability means establishing a routine and sticking with it wherever you are. Instability can mean living in one area but changing up routines on a whim, inconsistent bedtimes, meala times. naps, strange new faces in your core family, etc….

[Kevin] Macdonald, who has been working with Carnahan on a new draft, passed muster with Pitt not only because the actor liked his docu “Touching the Void” and “The Last King of Scotland,” but also because Macdonald has been working with Pitt’s Plan B to develop “True Story” at Paramount.
That film is an adaptation of a memoir by Michael Finkel, a New York Times writer who was disgraced when he faked a story about child slave labor in Africa, and then tried to redeem himself by cultivating a dialogue with a murderer who’d used the journalist’s identity before he was arrested.
I’m glad Angie has been able to continue to marry all her sides together - mom, partner, humanitarian, actress, foundation head, model, fashion face and director, daughter/sister-in-law, sister, friend, film director, writer, involved-citizen.
As here, she continues to prove.
They are really trying to get as many of the kids together so that they can take advantage of the nomadic life while the babies are still very young and can be home-schooled. Later on, these kids will be requiring more structure and mean less movement or more one-partner at a time movement.
I feel for those families that have one parent having to be gone most weeks because their jobs require them to travel constantly and only see the parent on the weekends…Traveling salesman, consultants, airline pilots/stewardesses.
Pitt and Jolie must be challenging each other constantly and their scheduler must be having quite a workout!

Wow, #20, I’m so sorry for your anger…if you were not so presumptuous and speculative regarding your statements, you could tame the rages that control you. AJ never said she would be a “stay-at-home-Mom”, she stated “I will stay at home to help Pax adjust to his new life,” (see quote above). Most children adapt very quickly especially to a positive environment and as long as one of the parents or a familiar person is within viewing range, there is no problem with young children traveling. There is nothing hypocritical in her statement. Some birth mothers choose to take six months off from work to breast feed their “baby”, and then return to work…this is a three year old. Three year olds are super fast learners re: language, socialization skills, behavior adaptation to a new environment and other children…you must not be around young children or you would know this too.
Using the word “rip him away” is “dramatic phrasing” and inappropriate…but it probably makes you feel better as an adjunct to your internal rage…however, if you have any knowledge of orphanages and foster homes, you would know that being adopted is considered by children in those situations as the most important event in their lives, to be wanted, “chosen” and to be loved in a family is foremost on their mind. As for being moved all over the world, children who are exposed to other cultures are the most tolerant, (unlike you) informative and happy young people as long as they are with their parents and other siblings. Yes people grow apart - Brad appeared very loving toward Aniston in the Anguilla 2005 shots - very snuggly and kissing her. I *know* that when things have evolved into a ‘room mate’ situation after a number of years - there *is not* that intimacy and the last thing you want to do is snuggle and kiss. Pitt and Aniston did not look like room mates - ever actually.

Surely you can’t be serious - I don’t post 10 pages of detailed analysis like many posters here, especially Cliniqua, who profess to have the inside scoop - then post the incredibly long ass posts describing what ‘Brad was thinking’ and what ‘Aniston was doing..’ It’s okay as long as it suits you and falls into your view about Jolie/Pitt? I posted my opinion and have responded, I don’t profess to have the inside scoop - so f8ck off. I’m not placing blame on Jolie. Obviously you haven’t read my initial post from yesturday - I was responding to Cliniqua’s renditions about Aniston’s flaws and while I agree, it then makes me question Pitt’s character for being with her for 7 years. That if he loved and respected Aniston, what does that ((say)) about Pitt ? That was the point. He’s ‘Brad Pitt’ - surely he could have left Aniston after 2,3,4,5,6 years and be with anyone he wanted. How could he be with someone like Aniston? They didn’t even get hitched until after being together 2 years. Did he not know who she was by then? I think he did and they had similar interests etc…otherwise why get married after 2 years? Anyhow, they are all the same.

Yuppy, I have alot of WTF things about Brad and Aniston’s marriage. So, I can’t help you out there, AT ALL.
I do know that Brad said he waffled all over the place about getting married to her. He said so during an interview for The Mexican.
Aniston called him on it though, we either get married or we break it off. I’ve got to hand it to her. She called him on it.
Brad should have listened to his gut that was making him waffle. Could be that he was 36 years old and he wanted a family. I’ve no doubt that he loved her or he’d have never married her.
But, Aniston has said that marriage brought out all of her insecurites again. Did she expect that Brad would fix that for her and did Brad feel the same?
They were apart for long periods of time. So, the 7 year thing isn’t really fair. How much of that time, did they actually spend together being married, in more than name only?
And just how committed were both of them? Aniston said Brad wasn’t the love of her life. Brad said their marriage was an adventure that they were seeing where it would go. Neither ringing endorsements for till death do us part.

guli - I love that you were a wild child and have a house full of pets. I can tell that you are open to love and life from your posts. I used to have a bit of a wild side still do, but not very often these days, especially since I had my 6 yr old.
I don’t know why all these _ fans get so irritable and hostile every time good news is announced about BAMPZS.
Many of us were happy for _ when she hooked up with VV and was seen “dry humping” him on the hotel balcony. When they all said _ was just into a fun relationship with VV and he was just the ticket I was glad for her. When they all went on baby bump watch, and said VV was more manly than Brad, I was glad they felt _ now had a “man’s man”.
I was happy for _ when they announced that VV bought her a huge ring, bigger than Brad’s. When they showed pictures of them gambling together and travelling to Mexico, I thought “Good for her!”
Just because it all amounted to naught there’s no need turn green-eyed and rabid back at BAMPZS. They’re not responsible for her happiness or unhappiness. Why not probe her relationship with VV? BAMPZS are just getting on with their lives.

I see where you are coming from but I have to say that people do change. While Brad and Jen may have had similar interests when they were together, eventually they began to want different things. I know I am definitely not the person I was eight years ago, and if I was then my husband and I would not be together right now and I wouldn’t have children. I like Jen and I don’t think Brad had a character flaw just because he was with her for so long, he just had different goals and desires then than he does now. Get what I’m saying?

Brad said in 2004, if they quit growing together, than their marriage dies.
He also said in 2005, that he and Aniston were honest with each other and put it all on the table about who they were and what they wanted.
It’s not a sin to grow apart. It happens if you let it.
Aniston also said how very hard re-doing their BH house. How much they argued/fought over that process. It wasn’t about the house. It’s never about the house.

Why thank you jillie, didn’t realize anyone was even reading my posts. I post when my frustrations just burst out and it’s often therapeutic for me…I’m convince one cannot enlighten those who cannot be enlightened…they believe what they believe. I’ve been holding back in lurking mode because the negative posts really are the same. I remember reading a post awhile back that claimed regular posters leave because of postings from regulars like Cliniqua, but adamantly not true…love Cliniqua’s passion and her persistence. I can’t represent other regular posters and lurkers, but I get frustrated by the instigators who fling out tiresome rhetorical comments and yet these very same posters don’t read previous posts like the regulars who try to be knowledgeable on what has already been written. It takes time to be thorough…and it’s proven to be worthwhile and not look like a dunce like these “hit and run posters”. If they took the time…all their comments and issues are addressed in a very comprehensive documented manner by some very intelligent and cohesive responders…however we constantly must remind ourselves that this is not the point of “hit and run posters”. They deliberately don’t stick around because they usually don’t have an intelligent, substantiated well thought-out retort. The regular posters here don’t let much slip by.

I love that “one cannot enlighten those who cannot be enlightened”, that is so true, although I think we may come at this from different directions at least the sentiment is that same.
I also read your posts when I saw that you posted, you are wicked funny. But I do have to say that I don’t enjoy cliniqua’s and I can see where people might be put off by her posts. I see that she often can get nasty and insulting toward the poster, a little too personal if you ask me. And instead of sticking to the BAMPZS topics her posts are usually filled with rants toward JA, which I know alot of you like to read but for me it’s too much b***s***.
OH PLEASE: I feel that the people who can’t get over the fact that Brad and Jen lead completely different lives now are the ones you guys here call the “fanistons” but I don’t really think they are fans of Jen,instead I think they are people with “issues”, if you know what I mean. That article earlier in the page about the plane ruse reminded me of a Pitt tactic - the release of similar multiple SUVs for him to get out of his house.

She has always been a loner and felt a need to talk to her fans directly with her interviews and so forth because I think she does feel she is sharing the learnt experiences she has with her fans. And thereby, she had a laissez-faire attitude with the press as they followed her around.
However, she sees there is more than just her now with her ever-growing brood.
She’s also more connected to the world now with all her traveling and international friends, orgs and acquaintances. She does not feel the need to share as much as before, especially when her actions speak louder than words.
JMO. Besides, we can see through the actions (which are many) of their commitments to each other, their family, their obligations and their passions where they are in life.

I’m not even going to mention that it was Bill who hired her (as I’m not sure if that’s the case, just heard it).
She’s been working their exploits into a book and shopping it around HW to be made into a movie. She’s got blonde ambitions, that one. One thing though, she is not covert. She’s had a desk job since returning to Washington.
If this article is true then Angelina may have a relatively short shooting schedule. This does point out that she is a real Hollywood power player. ANGELINA IS TOTALLY IN DEMAND FOR MOVIE ROLES!! THE TRUTH RULES!!

Just LMAO remembering Maniston the media wh*re’s recent pic with Morgan Freeman at the Barack Obama fundraiser, she was trying to snuggle, as if to say…Hey you guys, look at me and my buddy Morgan.’ Ahahahaha! To yuppy if she’s still around, or whoever it was that brought up the ‘best friends, loves and respects,’ comment again - Angie was speaking in the present tense, because she was describing what she saw at that time, IN that moment. Not necessarily of what Brad feels today - if anything (and I don’t have the interview on hand to give specifics), but it was my impression that the ‘exploitation’ (and Angie didn’t say WHO was responsible, but I got a strong feeling she was laying that at Maniston or Huvaniston’s door) led to some bad feelings.
What people don’t realize is that Angelina, is not a vindictive person, especially when it comes to helping the man she loves with all her heart. It’s my opinion that she wouldn’t want Brad carrying around ill-will, or harboring anger towards anyone.
It’s evident that Angelina always speaks of Brad in a way that ONLY benefits him. In the case of all that Maniston has wrought it is her way of DEFENDING him, and it also just happens to be THE TRUTH. If it wasn’t, Angelina wouldn’t be with him. Consequently, in Angie’s Vogue interview, there was a point to her telling you what she did, and it’s duofold.
Purpose number one: the man that is with his best friend whom he loves and respects would not cheat on her - and HE DID NOT.
Purpose number two: it is also a very OBVIOUS way of spanking Maniston, by saying, look - this is who he is, this is what he felt for you, and YOU know that — and yet look at what you’ve TRIED to do to him.
Angelina is very smart, and very honest.
Although the haters and the rags at the time tried to somehow make her Vogue remarks controversial (’That would be her decision, and I would welcome it,’ it comment) along with other things in the article - they could not.
Angelina gave the best answer to the interviewer’s question ‘would you meet with her?’ that she could have. It was smart and telling. Her answer was clear in intent - and spoke VOLUMES: It essentially said, Maniston is the one who has a problem with Brad (and me) as was made clear by her VF article and the subsequent explosion of ‘the triangle,’ to nuclear proportions. It is up to her, but we have truth on our side and have no reason to not meet with her and NEVER had a reason to not meet with her. Brad started his divorce by claiming he wanted a friendship and to keep the love he had for her, so the only person that changed THAT, is Maniston. That is why Angie answered as she did.
Now, Brad of course - I have a feeling…was completely disgusted and wanted nothing to do with her after that VF piece came out - I personally think Maniston sickened him for a time, and I’m not just saying this because I loathe her. All previous amicable talk was now off the table, and I think he wrote her off and said f**k her. I mean seriously, look at what he did; fired Kristin Hahn lickety split (the Maniston pal who had participated in the VF slander) and proceeded to get on with his life with angelina in a BIG BIG way. The name change was in effect within a month or two of VF, as was adoption, as was Shiloh. Pitt didn’t have to be polite anymore - in a way, Maniston’s actions freed him up. What Maniston did was equivalent to whatever Paltrow did, except his heart wasn’t involved this time - it was just the principle of her trying to bury him publicly after they had made arrangements to end it on a good note.
Sidenote…poor Kristin Hahn, she’s almost in as bad a shape as Maniston. Looks like The Departed was her swan song. The only thing on her imdb roster is the last of a couple of Plan B movies she was working on, Peace Like a River — only cast member is BBT, and the Senator’s Wife where the only cast member is Maniston and that is not on track and dead in the water. That’s IT. Her bio reads she was Maniston’s bridesmaid, lolol - and her filmography is so weak as to be laughable…it’s clear she was brought on board w/ Plan B to assist Maniston and because of her.
Poor Vince Vaughn. the pressure of Hollywood must have really got to him after he hooked up with Jennifer Aniston. Before her he seemed like he was just a normal guy who happened to be in movies ( loved swingers, wedding crashers), then he got pushed into the limelight by aniston and her fake love for him and pushed to the side when she didn’t need him any longer… and now look at him, he’s gone off the deep end. Poor guy…

Estelle, all the Jolie-Pitt children are going to be millionaires, probably each with their own charitable foundation to run. They will be able to go anywhere in the world they want, do anything they want, and be anything they want. Real tita, she expressed regret during her testimony when she asked about the VF photo shoot. And her covert status, she was a NOC and again, Director Hayden testified confirming that even though she wasn’t in the field, she was indeed covert before the Novak article came out. According to her testimony, she didn’t have the authority to send or suggest her husband but seeing what you’ve written we are obviously getting our facts from two different sources. Concerning her book and movie deals, I’m not going to judge whether or not she’s doing the right thing. I personally like having a quiet life. So, let’s agree to disagree. :) Ok lovely?

Really interesting concept, will film in Czech (sp) Rep and Chicago ( I read that somewhere). Novels take place in New York. This is a great role for Angelina. Must be a quick shoot if it is scheduled to be in theaters in March 2008. If she also does the Eastwood movie, it will also be a quick shoot, Eastwood does not waste time.

I really liked Vince in The Wedding Crashers, too. He was funny, kind of cute, and seemed like he had a great future ahead of him. Then he did The Breakup and seemed like he sold his soul to manufacture a fake relationship to try to make big profits at the box office. It doesn’t seem like it has turned out so well.

Has anybody read this comic? It’s a comic (for mature audiences) told from the point of view of the bad guys. I’m lazy so I’ll just copy/paste the premise from another site:
“…Mark Millar’s Wanted, a six-issue limited series with a Watchmen premise. In a post-1986 world, super-villains have killed all the heroes. Then a twentysomething loser discovers that his estranged father is one of the greatest super-villains (was actually, since he’s killed in the issue), and has left him the legacy. So in six months, the loser named Wesley must become a super-villain for him to inherit his father’s estate.”
The first issue interested me enough to buy the second (which I did many months later), and that one is definitely not for kids. In the second one Wesley is taught to be a super-villain, so it’s one lesson in violence and hatred after another, not to mention the plethora of cuss words (in fact, the issue is titled “**** YOU”). I liked how they made not so subtle references to dead superheroes that are clearly not the property of neither Millar nor Top Cow (Superman, the Flash, Captain America….). In the Superman one Supes is even reduced to a vegetative (sp?) state in a wheelchair (sounds familiar?).
Thank goodness - Pitt had friends to pull him out of that funk _ put him in.
In some ways, the Ocean’s crew did become his lifejacket.
Otherwise, this beautiful life he’s making for his kids would just be a dream. Don’t want to imagine where these kids would be if his life did not turn around.
Hopefully, Vince’s crew saves him from this downward spiral _ put him through.
I remember a picture where Vince looked really tired (as if the life-force was completely sucked out of him) sitting with _ staring out on the balcony.
Actually, they’re always looking washed out.

ITA. I think there are different kinds of haters.
Hater A: Those disgrunted real JA fans (although I suspect they aren’t many–true JA fans have long given up on this fight deemed lost) who still feels JA was somehow “wronged” and seek revenge
Hater B: Those disgrunted non-JA fans (or so they claim: “but I’m not even a JenFan!”) who feels JA represents cheated women in general, and seek revenge (thus making JA their “victim” which she said she didn’t want to be) I think these are most common, represented in FF haters. They are either cheated themselves, or project their resentment towards “the other woman” onto Jolie believing their own fictional scenario. BTW JA is responsible of riling up these bunch, infamously in VF 2005.
Hater C: Those who hate “do gooders”, who make charity visible in the press. This group include Jolie’s adoption critics. They are usually those who does little to any charity themselves, let alone adoption, but resentful that their moral inferiority is proved and displayed so loudly by the Jolie-Pitt. They seek revenge on their inferiority complex by attacking Jolie-Pitt.
Hater D: Plain simple–anybody who is jealous of Jolie-Pitt success and beauty, and the most formidable and unconventional multi-cultural family they are making. This group might include political far-right, or bible belters, (screaming “unwed” which goes unnoticed in big cities) but doubt it since Jolie-Pitt make pretty sure they are bi-partisans.
Others; Hater ABCD = all or some combination of above, which I suspect are quite a few.
