OlderAngelina Jolie is a WANTED WOMAN!
Angelina Jolie will star next alongside James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman in Wanted, reports Variety.
Wanted is an action film from Universal Pictures based on a graphic novel that Timur Bekmambetov will direct.
Angelina accepted the role after the script was rewritten by Dean Georgaris (Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life) to tailor the character for her (script was originated by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas).
Angelina, 31, will play an assassin who trains a wanna killer (McAvoy) and will travel to Eastern Europe in May to begin shooting.
UPDATE :: Variety also reports that Brad Pitt will star in the Americanized version of the acclaimed British miniseries State of Play. Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland) will direct.

Jolie signs deal for her next film
Angelina Jolie has signed a deal to star opposite Morgan Freeman and James McAvoy in a new action thriller called ‘Wanted’.
Variety reports that the film is based on the comic miniseries of the same name and tells the story of a young man who is recruited to follow in his late father’s footsteps as an assassin.
Jolie will play a killer who teaches the young man how to be an assassin.
JJ…you forgot to mention or maybe someone has already…Brad to star in “State of Play” to begin I believe in November…

Wow. She is such a hot commodity. Two pictures coming out this year, and three more in production, with huge names like Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman. That’s fantastic.
I’m sure that, as in the past, the children will be with her no matter where she shoots. Being a working mother does not make one a neglectful mother. Ask the majority of women out there.

I usually enjoy your Angie posts and I am a fan of you on the BAMPZS comments section, i have to get this off my chest.
You know I’m an Angelina fan too but remember when angie was younger, she was a mess and did drugs and was self destructive and now she has grown up and got her life together. Thats one of the things that I love about her the most. Angie is not by any means perfect and she wasn’t always a UN ambassador, there are many things she did in her life that i did not like but i supported her and i always felt that she would get her life together and reach her potential. Angie had a messed up or “wild” youth which she is not ashamed of but articles will never let anyone forget it and continue to bring it up in an attempt to undermine her achievements .
There are 2 celebs that i really really love and they are Nicole and Angie and you might not see the similarities between them but i do. Nicole is going though her rough parch but i really feel that if and hopefully when she reaches her potential she will be a really useful member of soceity. So for you to come to a Nicole Richie comments section just to call her a drug addict and anorexic when she is trying to get her live together is totally uncalled for. If you have nothing good to say and no real reason to hate someone then move on. I’m sorry we all can’t be perfect like you. (I mean make fun of X all you want she deserves it because she is selfish and Manipulative, I can never forgive that VF article either)
The tabolids have called angie anorexic too that doesn’t mean she is. You are acting like one of those people that judged Angie and called her names or whatever during the BBT years when there were rumours about her being under the influence of something.

i don’t understand why you guys have a problem with her going to work in may. that is over a month away. where is the problem? please don’t forget that she gives 1/3 of her income to charity, so i would think people would see any work for her to be an opportunity for others.
I am really getting sick of the whiny babies that come on here to complain about every decision Brad and/or Angelina makes. First, we have the whiners who tried to pin Angelina’s decision to take time off on Brad, as if he forced her to do so. Now, we have people coming here criticizing her for not taking enough time off, based on an announcement made by Variety. She hasn’t taken her time off yet, screwballs, and as far as I know, she never said when it would happen, for how long, the location of where this time off will be taken, etc. That’s probably because it’s none of our d@mn business.
Good for her if she gets job opportunities; good for her if she stays home with her kids or take the kids with her. Good for her if Brad spends time with Pax and the rest of the kids while Angelina prepares for the role, especially if, assuming the reports are true, Pax seems to respond to male authority figures more than female.
JMO… I think these haters are now pi$$ed because Angelina isn’t following the martyr model of motherhood of ‘I sacrificed everything for you, so you will owe me in the future.’ Guilt trips about stretch marks, losing out on opportunities, premature aging, etc. are out — being a mom, while squeezing in your interests/profession is in and personally, I hope it stays that way.
