As someone who just lost their Dad to cancer I totally ‘got’ why you posted the e-mail from Edwards - thank you. Heck I’m not even American and I’ve been following them in the news a bit. I admire their strength and courage for continuing the campaign with all that they are facing - good for them!

I watched MAMS again recently and I do understand your feeling, but here’s one way to look at it: they made the movie to be watched! It is the crazily intrusive pics from the paps that one should be ashamed of enjoying (and I admit I am guilty of this). I think most celebrities would say that it is their work that they want you to look at rather than pics of them from their personal lives (unless they are releasing the photos themselves of course). Hope that helps cuz you’re really missing out! :-)

No I don’t CMAR. But I don’t consider Cliniqua “fiercely supportive of BAMPZS”, rather I find her to be more of a fanatic and angry person. I find her offensive and not much better than the people who hate against BAMPZS. The foul language, the name-calling, the intense anger directed at people she does not even know is exactly the kind of mental and emotional hate that is directed at BAMPZS. I’m sorry but I do not consider her to be a fellow fan and I have the right to say as I please on here just like everyone else. I know her followers will disagree with me but just like they have the right to voice their opinion about my posts so I too have the right to voice mine.

ladies, be sure to check your mailbox then… :lol: i didn’t receive my copy w/ shilo’s photo…. the $4mil pic…hehehhe….i think the mailwoman did not deliver it….i emailed people and twice complained….they send me two copies….:lol: so i gave the raggedy copy (too much oogling….hehehe) to my friend and i keep the other one for collection….

I”m back now, and see that Tatiana’s post has been deleted so I will leave that alone. I just can’t figure why anyone who claims to be pro-adoption would be so anti-Angie. I just can’t figure that one out. She has broken no law, she has done nothing wrong. She is just going about her incredible life.

But on hair……post number 1221 is great! Nearly two years ago I was called into my son’s preschool (he’s adopted from Ethiopia) by his two African American teachers, who somberly and with great trepidation told me I needed to take better care of his hair and scalp. My grandparents immigrated from Scandinavia, so you can see I was not brought up knowing how to weave (and I mean hair, not baskets). And never in a million years before I adopted would it have occurred to me to put oil on one’s hair and scalp…mine was greasy enough as it was. I mean, I did my homework and read up on the Internet and new I was supposed to use special products, but when we got him there were so many other health issues, the hair and scalp just fell but the wayside and stayed there. The caregivers used Johnson’s Baby Oil on him at the orphanage, and that seemed so harsh to me.

Now we have the oil and brush thing down for our boy (I use Organic Root for him, which the preschool teachers recommended), but we have still not mastered the haircut. He HATED it every time I brought him to a barber (the comb on the clippers gets stuck in his tight curls and it is unbearable for him), and we live near a street that has 100% African American barbers for miles up and down, so in the barbershops it wasn’t a matter of white people not knowing how to do black hair. In fact the only haircut he was calm at his entire life (and he’s 4 1/2 now) was when we were visiting my sister in Minneapolis, and there was a Kids Cut place where a perfectly suburbanite Minnesotan with lots of experience on all kinds of hair coaxed, wheedled and cajoled and snipped and clipped her way through his head, taking nearly an hour, while a movie played. Dear son still cried huge tears, but he didn’t scream.

Starting a few months ago my partner thought it would be easier if we just bought a clippers and did it ourselves. Wrong. He HATES it and screams bloody murder. Just tonight dear partner spent another two hours gently pulling each curl and snipping it from dear son’s head, but before he could complete his work dear son had had enough and there are still several tiny balls of uncut sticking out, like pearls on a sweater, but no one can come near that head anymore for the rest of the night and probably for a week. This will be highly embarassing when he has to go back to school afer spring break. As an adoptive white mom of a black kid (and therefore paranoid) I can hear people thinking, “If she can’t do right by his hair she shouldn’t have adopted him.”

Why this long post? Maybe I feel I understand when Brad says, “We have the hair thing down now.” Sounds like the Jolie-Pitts have it down better than we do.

leetle un, -I had a several back and forth e-mail conversation with Sheri recently on black hair. I had all these q’s I wanted the answers to about black hair and she kindly took the time to explain some things to me. One of my sons got my thick curly hair and I shave his head at home and he hates it. Oh, he gets soooo mad but it’s the only way to get that mop of his manageable.

You haters are posting lies not facts. Contrary opinion is not spreading lies without any support with facts. Tell me, what proof is there for someone to poste; Angie has crabs, Angie hates Shiloh, all of their kids will be drug addicts, Brad is leaving Angie and taking Shiloh, Brad and Angie only got together to have kids it goes on and on and on. So STFU, read your fellow haters posts. Your post is completely ridiculous, but at least you can form more than one full sentence, contrary to your uneducated fellow haters.

T—B—is a laughingstock in the industry. Noone from adoption industry gives her any credit. Real people has knowledge but she is just ignorant like Star’s report on “Wanted”. Star is stupid enough not knowing there are almost 20 movies titled “Wanted” and proclaims Angie stole _’s “Wanted” Ignorance is no excuse.
