OlderAngelina Jolie Completes Adoption of Pax
Angelina Jolie has completed her adoption of 3-year-old Pax Thien Jolie from Vietnam. The mother-of-four has left the capital Hanoi, where she obtained Pax’s visa to take him home to L.A. The family departed from Noi Bai Airport via a Gulfstream jet.
Said Angelina on making Pax’s transition as smooth as possible: “It will take him a while to realize he has a family and that his new life is permanent and that it won’t keep changing.”
Here’s People Magazine’s just-released cover for the week:
Angelina Jolie debuts her new son, Pax Thien Jolie, in Ho Chi Minh City for the first time since his adoption last week. The mother of four was joined in Vietnam by a welcoming committee: big brother Maddox, 5, and little sister Zahara, 2 (10-month-old Shiloh was home with dad), as the 3-year-old now joins the world’s most famous multicultural family.
And here’s a great recent quote from orphanage director Nguyen Van Trung on the similarity between Pax and Angelina?
(laughs) I think he is like Brad Pitt rather than Jolie.
SangPax is as naughty and smart as any character played by Pitt. Brad Pitt is very easy. Last year when he came here, he asked me where the restroom was and I showed him the way to a public restroom. And he walked straight there.”

There’s something seedy about Angelina she doesn’t seem right in her head. the boy can’t even speak english the US is totally alien to him it’s a bit selfish dragging him out of his culture and enviornment to a totally alien place. How about her give attention to Shiloh who she never seems to be bothered about. She said after she was born she felt more love for her adopted kids. Surely she should love them all equally.

What I would like to know right now is if this is your opinion of all the new parents of adopted children from foriegn lands and who also dnot speak the language of the new family? You must know that Pax is just the most famous of 3yr olds, and not the only to become part of a family that does not share the same ethnicity or heritage. I will be waiting for your answer.

Every international adoption will have a result of bringing the child out of their home country. Not only angelina Jolie, thousands of family do that too.
Don’t be a small minded summer!
A young child is very easy to adapt other language and there is no language barrier to play with other kids eventhough they are not speaking the same language or even they are not the same race. (see pax and zahara’s picture)
Maybe it’s hard for your tiny brain to learn other language, …. but not for anybody else.
Or maybe you are jealous that now pax has a better life than yours.

I agree with Summer- I found it odd that Angie felt it necessary to change the boy’s name. - It seems Angie has issues which she is trying to cover by adopting. I hope she’s adopting for the right reasons. Pax seemed to be well taken care of and spared of any major trauma i.e. Z. Therefore it arouses suspicion as to why she needed to adopt him so quickly. Adoption is a great thing but I believe the greater battle is helping these countries develop enough so that parents will be able to look after themselves and subsequently their own children.

Why were people not wondering where the rest of the children were when there was that picture of Brad and Shiloh alone on set? goodness, I can’t keep up, literally! While the Shiloh debate,( Mad seems to do OK where ever he is), and Pax’s “obstacle’ of changing names and culture rages on, Z’s really the one that stands out in my mind. That frown you see is her diaprroval for the cameramen around her. Her regal pout is something she’s getting down for future experiences on the runway, and you know she’s got it down. And she saves her heartfelt smiles for her “peeps”

In theory, this is a great goal. In real life, though, this kind of change will take years, if not decades (especially for such countries as Cambodia, which had such a violent history because of the Khmer Rouge) and VietNam (need I remind you of the VietNam War?) … in the meantime, there are children like Pax and others who were abandoned. So what would you rather do? Leave them to languish in orphanages or have someone come and adopt them and offer them a better life?
Why would changing the boy’s name equate to Angie’s having issues? That is quite a leap, and very illogical (sorry for sounding like Mr. Spock). But think about it for a minute, and let not your hatred for Angelina blind you. It’s a simple name change — Meg Ryan did it for her adopted Chinese daughter (Daisy True), and so did Steven Spielberg for his adopted Vietnamese child (Theo). Are you saying that Meg and Steven also had the same issues as Angelina? And what issues are these anyway?

For those of you who are questioning why Shiloh isn’t there, maybe she is teething and flying those long hours will bother her. She is only 10 mo old. If they were all natural biological siblings, no one would question it. The youngest stays home. I have 3 sisters and 1 brother, the brother being the youngest and he was sickly. He was always left behind with either Mom or Dad when we went somewhere for a day or two. Does this mean that they love him more or less? Alternatively, as we got older (when I say older, I mean tweens because as teenagers - my parents were lucky if we all went with them anywhere for more than once a year), I stayed behind or my other sisters stayed behind because we had school commitments, one of our parents always stayed with us. Brad and Angelina are making it work the way they see fit. There are always going to be people who will criticize them but if they are happy and living their lives; and along the way, they are also making lives better, then so be it.

Newsflash….Maddox and Zahara were BABIES, as in 6-7 months old when Angie adopted them into a life of WEALTH AND PRIVILEGE.
They will NOT remember their hardships, they WILL NOT remember being in an orphanage, and ALL OF HER CHILDREN INCLUDING THE ADOPTED ONES are equally as privileged as Shiloh.

How can we think she doesn’t love Shiloh? Because she shows it with her words and actions. She said so herself in that magazine interview AND she doesn’t think Shiloh worthy or necessary t hat she meet her new brother before the other ones do.
She wanted to know that Shiloh was healthy at birth? I think her actions and words SINCE then have shown just how much Angelina allegedly “loves” her.
The are not even home yet and AJ has already given an interview w/ photos to two of the most published tabloids. Is that a good mother? Control over the media you say. It AJ doesn’t want to be scene she isn’t scene……you people know that. She could keep her new son out of the spotlight if she wanted to. This is nothing more than a PR stunt. Poor child.

Too beautiful for words!
For those of you who are questioning why Shiloh isn’t there, maybe she is teething and flying those long hours will bother her. She is only 10 mo old. If they were all natural biological siblings, no one would question it. The youngest stays home. I have 3 sisters and 1 brother, the brother being the youngest and he was sickly. He was always left behind with either Mom or Dad when we went somewhere for a day or two. Does this mean that they love him more or less? Alternatively, as we got older (when I say older, I mean tweens because as teenagers - my parents were lucky if we all went with them anywhere for more than once a year), I stayed behind or my other sisters stayed behind because we had school commitments, one of our parents always stayed with us. Brad and Angelina are making it work the way they see fit. There are always going to be people who will criticize them but if they are happy and living their lives; and along the way, they are also making lives better, then so be it.

Angelina has sold out 1st to Brad and now the public .. funny how they did speak to the press for a year (a year in hiding as he called it at the GG) and once they both had movies coming out they have been running the PR parade hard. Only reason she has gotten any work is because who she is shacked up with. She will always play a *****, mental case and action roles.

Um, I think I’m gonna get the Hello magazine. I like the way it’s formatted and it’s photos are much clearer and bigger. So the poster who wrote the other day that Zahara was there was right. She looks adorable and comfortable with Pax. I’m sure Shiloh has been getting ready for her close up with daddy on the set.
Why can’t the other media realize that for exclusives on BAMPZS, it’s gonna be Hello and People? They are the fan magazines of record, not tabloids creating soap operas (using Justing Timberlake language). There are plenty other stories they can find and report on but they are crying that they did not get these pics. I’ve got advice to the tabloid media, start looking elsewhere ok?

Brad didn’t say a year in hiding he said the year of silence. AJ didn’t play any of those things that you mentioned in George Wallace, Beyond Boarders, The Bone Collector, The Good Shepard and the list goes on and on. She has been one of the few actors that have been able to play a variety of characters.

Actually, I am not making excuses. Sometimes it just is or isn’t. And pure speculation on my part. I am sorry that you feel so much hate. I believe she loves them all equally. Let’s say, that you are right, she loves the others more than Shiloh. Does this really affect your everyday life? I don’t know them. I come to JJ because I like to read the most up-to-date news about them. I admire what they do as actors and as humanitarians. However, at the end of the day, I go home and live a life irrespective of theirs.
