OlderAngelina Jolie Completes Adoption of Pax
Angelina Jolie has completed her adoption of 3-year-old Pax Thien Jolie from Vietnam. The mother-of-four has left the capital Hanoi, where she obtained Pax’s visa to take him home to L.A. The family departed from Noi Bai Airport via a Gulfstream jet.
Said Angelina on making Pax’s transition as smooth as possible: “It will take him a while to realize he has a family and that his new life is permanent and that it won’t keep changing.”

Angelina Jolie debuts her new son, Pax Thien Jolie, in Ho Chi Minh City for the first time since his adoption last week. The mother of four was joined in Vietnam by a welcoming committee: big brother Maddox, 5, and little sister Zahara, 2 (10-month-old Shiloh was home with dad), as the 3-year-old now joins the world’s most famous multicultural family.
And here’s a great recent quote from orphanage director Nguyen Van Trung on the similarity between Pax and Angelina?
(laughs) I think he is like Brad Pitt rather than Jolie.
SangPax is as naughty and smart as any character played by Pitt. Brad Pitt is very easy. Last year when he came here, he asked me where the restroom was and I showed him the way to a public restroom. And he walked straight there.”

I am not stopping you from having an opinion. All I’m saying is why does Shiloh always have to seen as more important than the other children? Why were people not wondering where the rest of the children were when there was that picture of Brad and Shiloh alone on set? Does that mean he loves his other children less since we’ve seen him only carry Shiloh recently even when they went on walks? It just baffles me, that’s it. Again, you can have your own opinion, I’m not against that.
Thanks Jared for the pics. God Bless the Jolie-Pitt family. More power to them and please, Pax will be just fine. I came to the U.S. barely speaking and understanding English. I turned out just fine…..at a young age, I absorb everything….. so, to people who are worried about Pax being away from his “turf”, don’t worry, he will be just fine.
goodness, I can’t keep up, literally! While the Shiloh debate,( Mad seems to do OK where ever he is), and Pax’s “obstacle’ of changing names and culture rages on, Z’s really the one that stands out in my mind. That frown you see is her diaprroval for the cameramen around her. Her regal pout is something she’s getting down for future experiences on the runway, and you know she’s got it down. And she saves her heartfelt smiles for her “peeps”

Brad isn’t the one who said that he “feels” more for/loves the adopted children more than he does Shiloh, so no, your comparison doesn’t hold up.

Mr & Mrs Smith i’m not trying to say Shiloh should be the important one i’m saying since the day that she has been born i’ve never felt in observing pictures and interviews like everyone else she has been of any importancent to Angelina and that worries me. THEY SHOULD ALL BE EQUAL. If i felt that about any of the others i would say so too

Us Weekly consulted Frank J. Sulloway, author of Born to Rebel: Birth Order, Family Dynamics and Creative Lives, to determine how the newest member of the family is likely to affect life in the Jolie-Pitt household.
Maddox, 5:
As the eldest, he’ll be “conscientious, responsible, protective of younger siblings and most likely excel in school.”
Pax, 3:
As a middle child, he’ll be “agreeable, a peacemaker — and good at wheeling and dealing, since the firstborn has physical dominance.”
Zahara, 2:
“Open to experience. And, like Pax, likely to be very agreeable.”
Shiloh, 10 months:
The youngest, she’ll be “obstinate, extroverted and fun-loving. Many great comedians were the youngest in the family.”

Adoption is a great thing but I believe the greater battle is helping these countries develop enough so that parents will be able to look after themselves and subsequently their own children.

In theory, this is a great goal. In real life, though, this kind of change will take years, if not decades (especially for such countries as Cambodia, which had such a violent history because of the Khmer Rouge) and VietNam (need I remind you of the VietNam War?) … in the meantime, there are children like Pax and others who were abandoned. So what would you rather do? Leave them to languish in orphanages or have someone come and adopt them and offer them a better life?
Why would changing the boy’s name equate to Angie’s having issues? That is quite a leap, and very illogical (sorry for sounding like Mr. Spock). But think about it for a minute, and let not your hatred for Angelina blind you. It’s a simple name change — Meg Ryan did it for her adopted Chinese daughter (Daisy True), and so did Steven Spielberg for his adopted Vietnamese child (Theo). Are you saying that Meg and Steven also had the same issues as Angelina? And what issues are these anyway?

Its kind of ironic that you guys are so self involved and so obsessed with justifying, legitimizing, and praising absolutely everything that Angelina and/or Brad does that you can’t see that anyone else may have a point. -So, the picture of Angie holding Shiloh while looking at her and laughing while Brad was holding Zahara in people magazine’s first baby Shiloh pictures you could tell she didn’t love Shiloh?
-The picture of Angie holding Shiloh when they took their first family photo in NO last year showed she didn’t love Shiloh?
-The picture of Angie holding Shiloh lovingly and protectively and Mickey holding Zahara while they were in India on their way inside the airport showed she didn’t love Shiloh?
-The picture of Angie again holding Shiloh while Brad held Zahara and Maddox (who were in their jammies) on their way out of India showed that she didn’t love Shiloh?

good morning ‘rina! looks like it’s same sh*t different day once again on jared’s. how wearisome! a sweet little boy has a new life and more privilege than he can imagine and some folks just can’t grasp the concept that THE Angelina Jolie has grown up and traded self-destruction and nihilism for motherhood and humanitarianism. i’m glad that in my world, people are allowed and encouraged to evolve.

There’s something seedy about Angelina she doesn’t seem right in her head. the boy can’t even speak english the US is totally alien to him it’s a bit selfish dragging him out of his culture and enviornment to a totally alien place. I heard he was hiding from her durring the adoption ceremony cause he was so scared.
How about her give attention to Shiloh who she never seems to be bothered about. She said after she was born she felt more love for her adopted kids. Surely she should love them all equally.
