OlderBrad & Angelina’s $100K Donation
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have donated $100,000 to help build the first modern medical facility in Duk County, Sudan called “The Duk Lost Boys Clinic.”
The donation was mad through their Jolie-Pitt Foundation and will go directly to to Direct Change, a nonprofit that raises financial support for grassroots projects in Africa.
Said John Dau, the Director of Direct Change’s Sudan Project, “Words cannot express my gratitude and gratitude of the people of Duk County Sudan. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt demonstrate the American spirit of generosity. Hopefully, their donation will inspire others to join with us to rebuild southern Sudan.”
Dau’s story was featured in the documentary God Grew Tired of Us, which Brad executive produced. The facility is scheduled to open later this spring and serve upwards of 150,000 people.
In adoptions news… Brad and Angelina will reportedly earn $2.3 million for photographs of their newly adopted son, Pax. The couple earned a reported $4.7 million for photographs of of daughter Shiloh just after she was born.

Great work, Jolie-Pitt! They will probably establish something similar to Maddox project in Cambodia, AIDS children’s hospital in Ethiopia, like Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt Foundation in Vietnam with whatever they get from the media. What a pair, these two—they really are doers, not whinners.
I think “Happy Girl” forgot to take her happy pills. What a sour lemon head! :roll: They have a lot of charities, and an advisor to help them know how much to give when they want to give….I’m sure the clinic will do a lot of good with what they gave. Remember, they give a lot that we don’t hear about in the “news”, like the money for the Cancer Research Center ad.
Thank you JJ and Audrey for letting us read this. I am just amazed at this couple. I know they have inspired many less fortunate than themselves to give…let’s hope they also inspire the ones who ARE as fortunate as they are.

i have no problem with 100k, although i still think its far too small for the 2 million they got from the pic of pham, i have problem will celeb who does always feel the need TO BROADCAST every donation they give specially in the middle of tons of negative publicities. Real givers are just MUM about what they give, they dont like to publicize it just to get a ”pat in the back”.
Paparrazis take a lot of celeb’s photographs and tabloids make up lies every week all to benefit no one from the huge amount of money they make. No one is crying foul at these people. Therefore, I support Brad and Angie to collect money for their pictures because at least it will benefit someone.
All the money goes to their Foundation to give to charity right? i’ve seen some ads in People magazine that are funded by their Jolie-Pitt Foundation, like unhcr, cedars-sinai and another i can’t remember , i like how they use the money to help spotlight the organizations. it is always a good thing. at least they are not spending it on materialistic things that other celebs would buy.

people mag denied the 2 million. I don’t think they would pay in the millions for an adopted kid.

cheap ? at least they are giving back. Never heard Mansiton with her 110 million dollar fat account donating anything. aside from donating a T shirt with her signature to the Pediatric Cancer center, never did we heard a report of her doing charity or donation, other female celebrities in the forbes top 10 milionaires do give back except Maniston . thats real cheap !!!!!!!!!

People magazine stated that’s not true and said it’s a ridiculous number.
the thing is #16… the reason why they are comfortable in saying or declaring the amounts of donations to many chariities is because they want to set an example to many people that can do and that how easy it is do it, I’m sure they are many people out there not only celebs that have capacity in giving, but the point is, they don’t… by doing this, they can inspire alot of people in doing the same. they don’t want to praise about this!
