OlderBrad & Angelina’s $100K Donation
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have donated $100,000 to help build the first modern medical facility in Duk County, Sudan called “The Duk Lost Boys Clinic.”
The donation was mad through their Jolie-Pitt Foundation and will go directly to to Direct Change, a nonprofit that raises financial support for grassroots projects in Africa.
Said John Dau, the Director of Direct Change’s Sudan Project, “Words cannot express my gratitude and gratitude of the people of Duk County Sudan. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt demonstrate the American spirit of generosity. Hopefully, their donation will inspire others to join with us to rebuild southern Sudan.”
Dau’s story was featured in the documentary God Grew Tired of Us, which Brad executive produced. The facility is scheduled to open later this spring and serve upwards of 150,000 people.
In adoptions news… Brad and Angelina will reportedly earn $2.3 million for photographs of their newly adopted son, Pax. The couple earned a reported $4.7 million for photographs of of daughter Shiloh just after she was born.

Angelina and Brad just made a HUGE donation. How about you?? They are not the only ones with millions of dollars. Heard of anyone else forking big money for the Sudan project? Besides, no one will call you cheap even if you only donated a miserly dollar. It’s the thought that counts.

i have no problem with 100k, although i still think its far too small for the 2 million they got from the pic of pham, i have problem will celeb who does always feel the need TO BROADCAST every donation they give specially in the middle of tons of negative publicities. Real givers are just MUM about what they give, they dont like to publicize it just to get a ‘’pat in the back’’.

HELLO PEOPLE - It is Dau, the Director of the Project, who is talking about the donation. Brad and Angelina aren’t ‘advertising’ anything! It is common practice for charities/projects/foundations to acknowledge a large contribution by making a press release because it draws attention to the said charity and other people get on the bandwagon. I guess that is too logical for the detractors to understand?! God they are stupid sometimes.
Anywho, good on Brad and Angelina for their latest contribution - I am quite sure that the amount reflects the need and that any other monies received for the latest pictures will benefit MANY people and charities - they spread the love around! :-)

Time Warner didn’t pay $2 million for those pictures. Radar was bullshitting with that figure. It was much, much, much less. Not even $500,000. It wasn’t about the money to Brad and Angelina. They were going to give the pictures to People and Hello anyways.
