Decked out in Bean Pole Jeans gear, Prison Break hottie Wentworth Miller is showered with gifts including stuffed animals and a portrait of himself.
Wentworth was attending the Bean Pole Jeans press conference and a fan meeting on Friday at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul, South Korea.
Them Koreans made Wentworth sing “Happy Birthday!” That must have felt so degrading! Did they drug him? Maybe hopped him up on too much Korean soju? Check out the video below…

(Miller is immensely popular among Korean fans, who call him “Sok Ho-pil,” the Koreanized version of his Prison Break character Michael Scofield. Scofield is also the name of Frank William Scofield, a Canadian who helped in Korea’s independence movement.)
“I was told my character was given a nickname in Korean, which has a direct reference to an historical figure. That meant the world to me to know I’m part of a show that knows no borders when it comes to cultural differences or language.
“In my career as an actor, there is a catchphrase that Scofield always says often in regards to his brother, `Have a little faith.’ In my own career as an actor, there were times when I was the only one who believed in myself in the face of the odds.
“I am very pleased to be part of the Bean Pole family. The relationship makes sense to me since Bean Pole has a lot in common with Prison Break. We’re both enterprises that have the highest levels of creativity, craftsmanship and innovation.”

guys…. asking an entertainment star to sing a song for the fan is a cultural thing in Asia, esp. in korea and japan.. they do it for the purpose of fan service. if he felt i was a degrading moment and you guys think that it was such a horrendous thing that his korean fans asked him to do so, bear in mind that there exist cultural differences and you look at things with perpectives once you are in a foreign culture.
haha,yeah I’m definitely survived!! and actually, there were not many people in the last, cuz many of the people who are in the 2nd gate are so disappointed for he passed 1st gate..so the many of his fans are gone away with disappointing of couldn’t see him..But I was remain late cuz I believed that I could see him.
and at about 7:00 I could see him for the first time!!!!!!!!

Dam-lucky Koreans……I just got over my crush and now they pull me back in.
He is so much nicer to them then he is to us….Nobody in America has gotten him to sing. No fair!
He didn’t want to sing - you can tell. He’s been asked so many times before and refused. But with a room full of 400 screaming fans begging him to sing he just couldn’t say no. He did it with such good grace. He really is an amazing and charming man!

ljc…I think he already knew that he is going to sing the moment he stepped on that stage. Same thing with giving hugs to those fans…it’s all part of the program. And bear in mind he had to sign a contract for this too and if he specifically insisted ‘no’ singing during any promo for the brand then he wouldn’t have sung.
Anyway, I agree with FYI…it’s a cultural thing that’s unheard of in the US. Karaokes are the rage in Japan and Korea!

Thanks so much Jared for sharing all the photos and videos of Wentworth Miller. I was plannning to fly over from Japan…but family matters came up here. I am just glad that he went to Korea and had loyal fans come out to see him. He is such a gentleman. I loved his wonderful ad for Beanpole jeans.
Wentworth please come back to Korea again….Jared is he planning another ad next year with Beanpole? Please keep us updated so that I could plan to go to the next fan meeting on time.

He melted all of korean fans and we were so happy with him for 2 days.
He’s got here Korea 1 day earlyer than we expected so we were very upset missed the welcoming ceremony at the Airport.
The interviewer asked him “We heard that your ideal woman is a confident girl has a dark hair. You can see here we all have dark hair and very confident.
Do you think you Can find your ideal woman here?”
and he answered “She could be here. Nobody knows.”
You can imagine that many girls yelled “I’m here!!”. Ha ha…
We Korean fans are all very appreciated with his kindness, warm heart he’s shown even though he must be very tired with a time difference.

It is true that it is a cultural thing to sing in places like Korean and Japan. I had to do the same thing when I taught English there. They really love that…very Asian… Wentworth you have a great voice!
I knew you liked dark-haired women…he has mentioned celebrities like Angie Harmon and Jessica Alba…as some attractive women. Hopefully, he finds Asian women attractive.
I admire your intelligence and charisma the best, although you are a handsome guy! Hope to get the chance to meet you in Korea next time.
