Celebrities Fight Poverty… in German
Celebrities continue in the worldwide fight against poverty in the German “Your Voice Against Poverty” commercial that was shown during the G8 Summit in Germany.
(The Group of Eight (G8) is an international forum for the governments of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States.)
In the black-and-white commercial, 21 celebrities appear and speak German including Bono, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Penelope Cruz, Antonio Banderas, Claudia Schiffer, and miscellaneous German celebrities.

Brad spricht nicht deutlich, oder meine Ohren werden alt (habe das Video zwei Mal angeheort), was auch moeglich ist.
Aber mach Dir keine Sorgen. Er murmurt auch in englischen Filmen. Arikulation ist nicht seine Staerke. Guck dir mal den Film “Fight Club” mit Edward Norton an; verglieche den beiden. Es ist wie Tag und Nacht. Edward Norton kann man verstehen; Brad wohl nicht so gut. Es gehoert zu seinem “Tough Guy” Image, aber die Artikulation leidet darunter, obwohl andere Touch maenner…..Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, haben deutlicher ausgeprochen.

Plus they take seriously their role as developed country trying to make the developing world better, while we spend money on war in Iraq. Good for them to do this.
I love how many celebrities are trying to make change in the world, may God Almighty continue to bless and see them through. They will not lack anything good. God is always happy with those that are willing to share with poor and less fortunate. More blessing of God to them and family.

How ’bout all you celebrities stop living HALF of your lavish lifestyles and donate the other half to fighting poverty–that’d be about the same as what myself and my family/friends donate annually to fight injustice and to help the disenfranchized. Many in the world live their daily lives with multiple languages. I just saw Natalie Portman’s interview in Israel, and she speaks in Hebrew which we don’t get to hear in the US. Language is a tool, and also a spice of life :)
I live for the day when people will stop criticizing and do something or just appreciate what others are doing when they are trying to help. These guys are all givers, they give their money and time.

I was just saying I thought Brad mumbled too much, in English as well as in German. Watch Fight Club and marvel at how clearly Edward Norton articulates compared to Brad. Don’t jump on me, fans; I just he just needs to work on his articulation more. Now, my ears are old and that may play a role in why I find it hard to understand Brad sometimes. Also, he has that tough guy image he plays so often, which in his case seems to be accompanied by subpar articulation. But Clint Eastwood and John Wayne played tough guys too, and their speech was much clearer and never a problem to understand. In the new James Bond movie, however, tough guy whatever the lead man’s name is is frequently unintelligible.
Please let’s stop posting tabloid articles. Whenever they can’t get any Jolie-Pitt’s news, they make uo stories. We should stop encouraging lies. If we post these stories, we spread lies. Donate the money you spend on tabloids for better causes.
I’d rather hear about the thousands of normal, everyday people who give their time and money (many who ultimately go without stuff of their own to benefit someone else) than the celebrity “heroes” who still live in their multimillion dollar house(s) and jet set 11 months out of the year while they “work” 1 month. The only reason I even saw this site is because a co worker was killing himself laughing at the hero worship going on here and asked me to read the comments. Yeesh. US Weekly Angelina Jolie Saint or Sinner Her Twisted Double Life
Angelina Jolie recently announced, to much fanfare, that she would be a stay-at-home mom. “I will stay at home to help Pax adjust to his new life,” Jolie told the Ho Chi Minh City Law newspaper on March 16. “I have four children and caring for them is the most important thing for the moment.”
So it came as a surprise four days later when Variety reported that the Oscar winner had signed up to play an assassin in Wanted, which is set to begin shooting in ((((((April in Prague.)))))))) [[[[[HYPOCRITE]]]]]]
Even more bewildering was Jolie, 31, showing up in Chicago on March 23 for screen tests on Wanted.
The fact that Jolie was anywhere but at home with her family was odd. Just eight days earlier, the actress had picked up her newly adopted son, Pax, from a Vietnam orphanage.
But, despite what she told the Vietnamese newspaper, the mother-of-four does not appear to be slowing down any time soon. She’s also slated to star in Atlas Shrugged and The Changeling, which is preparing a fall start.
“That does seem like a heavy workload for someone with a large family,” Christine Adamec, author of Is Adoption for You?, tells Us.
Adds L.A.-area early-development psychologist Marcy Axness: “Children thrive on predictability, continuity, security and rhythm in their daily life.”
That’s not the only about-face Jolie has made recently. The day Jolie picked up Pax at the orphanage, where paparazzi swarmed, she said, “Photographs make him upset.I’m sorry for bringing this into his life.”

The new US weekly covering featuring Angie is a bold hit against everything she is as the woman to Brad, mother to Mad, Pax,Z and Shi and her being a humanitarian but the truth will always prevail. It’s not made up or any kind of a “hit” - they are simply pointing out Jolie’s HYPOCRISY. First of all how do we know Angie even said she was going to stay home. Maybe she didn’t even say that. Maybe someone else did. Maybe she said she would be home for awhile until her next project start, and it was interpreted as staying at home. I am certain Wanted didn’t just spring up from the ground. Angie knew about this before the adoption. Movie deals just don’t happen. Remember the script went through a rewrite, which means she knew about the movie in advance of the adoption. You can’t defend everything that is printed about you. Once you start you will be defending yourself the rest of your life. The tabs will have won, because they are getting quotes from you. Quotes mean more stories. Everyone assumes that Angie really said she was staying home. We don’t know. Just like we don’t know anything about these people unless we hear them say so. And remember they were in Vietnam and so much misinformation has come out of there concerning this adoption and Angie. Taking the pictures was different than having screaming papps running after Pax. It was controlled and probably had only one or two people taking pictures. The pictures look so serene. It wasn’t a mad house. In the next few weeks it is going to get even crazier on these threads and in HW and the world of tabs because there will not be any pictures of them. Therefore no news, therefore no sales, therefore no hits on blogs. People stop your in fighting. We need to just stop and think. These people mean money to a lot of people. Last night the entertainment shows were boring. Who really cares about Lohan and the rest? Angie might never have said anything. Remember the blob comment? It was taken totally out of context. US weekly is a tabloid magazine, they are fishing for statement from AJ that is all.
Angie is not a typical 9-5 mum, last year she was only working for 6-7 weeks, the rest of the time she was with the children. She will still can work and be home with the children because they are always with her on location, home is where your family are, not where the address on the mail box.
So she signs up for 2 movies this year, so what? I can’t wait to see her in more movie, she’s a great actress, as her fan, I would love to see her in at least 1 or 2 movies per year, why not, she has to make some money for her charity works and for her children.

(1) The industry trade paper, variety said the movie “wanted” was pushed back to May instead of April . Even though the movie “wanted” is going to start filming in May, we dont know whether it’s the beginning of May or end of May. If you do a search on this movie, you will notice that Angie is NOT the main character in this movie. She is playing a SUPPORTING role. She might not be due on the set until later, or even the beginning of summer. Until there are pictures of her on the set, that is until there are MORE FACTS, we should refrain froming an opinion.
(2) US mag talked about Angie is also booked for “Changling” and ” Atlas Shrugged”. Again, if you do a search on “Atlas Shrugged”, this movie is no where close to start filming. In fact, it might not even start until 2 or 3 years from now. Having a movie in the pipeline does NOT mean she is doing all these movies all at once. To suck up everything this mag tell you and start writing opinions against her is NAIVE.
(3)Being a good mother does NOT mean 24/7. Stability does NOT mean staying put in one city. Stability means in the same roof, having the same parent, moulding by the same parents, getting instructions, directions, training by the same parent. Many actors/actress bring the kids on location. Think, Wil
Smith. Angie has said in interview that breakfast for the children is the same time everyday whether in Europe or in the USA. Same thing with bed time, every day it is 8 pm , always the same even they are in a different country.
(4) There is NO actual picture of Angie on the test screen in Chicago. Why????? Could this be make up? Is this from a source, insider, a close friend which means nameless, which means NON-EXISTENT? Will us mag’s claim stand up in court?

Janice Min is reportedly peeved that People always gets the (apparently rigged) auction for the photos of her new Vietnamese son Pax Thien, and the mag’s (diffy) story about the adoption in last week’s issue clearly did nothing to quell her thirst for revenge.
This week’s cover lays it out more starkly than ever before, screaming, “HER TWISTED DOUBLE LIFE” and then, all PowerPoint style: She lied about becoming a stay-at-home mom! She and Brad are fighting about her adoption addiction! And the trump card: She uses her kids to manipulate the media! Oh, SNAP.
Inside, Mara Reinstein’s story reads like a big ****-you to both People and Angelina. Let’s examine the charges.
Charge: She lied about becoming a stay-at-home mom.
Jolie recently started shooting Wanted, an action movie, in Chicago. But according to US, Jolie “recently announced with much fanfare that she would be a stay-at-home mom, then accepted the Wanted role. Hypocritical? Perhaps. Then again, Jolie, 31, thrives on manipulating her own image. After all, despite not having a publicist (unheard of for a celebrity of her caliber), the actress has expertly reinvented herself as a devoted mother and girlfriend—despite her wild past as a self-confessed drug-using goth who dabbled in bisexuality and had a string of ‘lovers.’”
Assessment: Bringing up the goth/bisexuality bit is a low blow for the mag. There’s also a sidebar called “Angelina’s Wild Past,” in which her “outlandish interests” pre-humanitarianism (death, cutting, bisexuality, and blood lust) are detailed. But really, how many more times do we have to hear about how she and Billy Bob Thornton wore vials of each others’ blood around their necks? Regarding the stay-at-home mom hypocrisy, we’re inclined to decide this one a little more in Us’s favor. After all, Jolie also adopted Pax Thien as a single mom, even though she and Brad Pitt are raising all the kids together, to circumvent Vietnamese adoption rules that prevent unmarried couples from adopting.
Charge: She has an addictive personality, and Brad thinks she should chill out with the adoptions.
“After adopting three kids in five years, it’s possible that [Angelina's] picked up a form of domestic addiction… Sources tell Us that the couple of more than two years have been at odds about expanding their brood so quickly after Shiloh’s birth. ‘They had a huge argument before she left for Vietnam,’ says a source. ‘He wanted her to slow it down, spend time with Shiloh and have more biological children.” Also, Us asks, “Will Brad & Angie’s Relationship Last?” The answer, according to an “expert”: “Angelina’s behavior may cause problems because it’s hypocritical. I have less inclination to feel for her… A newborn really is this…yes, a blob!” Angelina’s said that she was just responding to the interviewer’s suggestion that Shiloh was a blob, not actually calling her daughter a blob—but word is that she often refers to her only biological child that way, and shows her other children blatant favoritism. Again, Us goes for the low blow by suggesting that the pair’s relationship could be in trouble because of Angelina’s quest to adopt more kids.

But would Us not have published those photos? It’s also interesting that they’re finally coming clean about the Kenya photos by saying that the shoot was “widely believed to have been orchestrated by Jolie.” That’s code for, “The shoot was orchestrated by Jolie and we knew it, but we played along and bought the photos because it was such an explosive story, and we proceeded to run months’ worth of unflattering stories and photos of Jennifer Aniston because we were on Team Jolie, but now we feel like we have been mortally betrayed.” —Doree
That sad thing is that the entertainment media will once again use US Weekly’s story about Angie as the holy grail. They dare not do it with the Katie Holmes story, but they will with Angie. She’s an easy target for them and sadly people will end up believing their lies to be true. As you can tell by the rants of the haters on this blog and others.
I’m proud of how Angie and Brad have kept their eyes focused on the what’s truly important in this world (like this ONE Campaign) and not get caught up in the media garbage that surrounds them. They are truly to be admired for their commitment and tenacity to remain a loving family that sees no boundaries in race or country.
Janice Min’s retribution will come back to her haunt her. As an Asian woman I truly believe in karma. And this action brought on by spite will come full circle.

Why don’t people realize that Brad & Angelina provide stability for their children by being with them and having the SAME routines all the time anywhere they travel?
Bedtime at 8 is the same anywhere in the world. Cereal breakfast at 7 am is the same anywhere in the world. Lunch time, playtime, and Brad spending time before each child goes to sleep stays the same no matter where they are in the world.
Stability means establishing a ROUTINE and STICKING with it wherever you are.
Instability can mean living in one area but changing up routines on a whim, inconsistent bedtimes, meala times. naps, strange new faces in your core family, etc….

US printing this totally negatively slanted cut and paste slander tells me that they are having major circulation drop. I am not surprised that they would stoop to lying on the level of the National Enquirer and its sister publication Star. Star is firing people left and right, and its parent company had a $160 million loss. Unfortunately US’s lies will be picked up and printed by those on the internet and some media outlets, but that happens anyway whether something is true or not. This type of US article was anticipated, but in the Star/National Enquirer, since Angelina and Brad have gone underground with no verified sightings.
US has been completely shut out of any interviews with Brad and Angelina, so they have decided be vindictive toward Angelina especially. Well, here’s one person who admits that on occasion to buying US BUT NEVER AGAIN. I don’t mind stories that present both sides but I WILL NOT SUPPORT SMEAR CAMPAIGNS about anyone. THE WORLD IS TOO FULL OF MISERY AND UNHAPPINESS AND TURMOIL TO ALLOW US IN MY HOME AGAIN.
US will regret this in the long run. As it is US gets few if any exclusives from anyone who is anyone in hollywood. I know someone that work at Barnes&Nobles, any new movies DVD or magz have to be stock after closing time for the exact release date, not before or after. Eventhough, they might have them instore day(s) before.

Regarding PT’s weekly tabloid report, I know a lot of people are waiting and love her post. I dont read that report. But that’s me. I’m not lobbying others NOT to read it. Dont get me wrong. I appreciate that she spends time on giving fans a recap.
I’ll tell you why I skip that “tabloid recap” post. Many times, clients ask me if certain tax laws have passed. I usually tell these people that I dont keep track of them. I will read about them only when it finally passed Congress and becomes effective . Because keeping track of the status and progress will be too confusing . Frequently, when it finally passed, the final IRS code is very much revised from the original proposal. There are just too many things in life. I usually wait until it becomes law.
That’s the reason why I never read PT’s recap because it’s a recap of the tabloids, NOT facts. I ‘m afraid to mix up tabloids and facts. But that’s me. I am in no way lobbying anyone to do the same

Isn’t it interesting that NOT ONE WORD was uttered by anyone, nor printed, when Angelina went to work on TGS in August 2005 after adopting Zahara in July 2005, or when Angelina continued working on her movie in Namibia when Maddox was delivered to her from Cambodia. The entire United Nations aid operation in Darfur is in danger of collapsing unless violence in the region is halted, the UN humanitarian chief has said.
Sir John Holmes, speaking during his first trip to the region, said: “If we don’t deal with those problems, the humanitarian effort could begin to unravel, with catastrophic effects for the civilians.”
The UN operation in Darfur is the largest aid effort in the world.
Sir John was speaking only days after Sudanese combat aircraft crossed over the border into neighbouring Chad and dropped bombs close to one of the largest refugee camps for those fleeing the bloodshed in Darfur.
Refugees identified the plane as a Sudanese Antonov, the same type used to strafe villages in Darfur before Janjawid militia attack on horseback.
The Sudanese Government said yesterday that it would “extend all necessary and possible facilitation” to aid groups trying to work in Darfur.
Omar al-Bashir, the President of Sudan, however, underlined his rejection of allowing UN peacekeepers into Darfur.
He insisted that they should be allowed to provide only technical and financial help to African Union peacekeepers.
The airstrikes in Chad, close to the Oure Cassoni refugee camp near Bahai, failed to hurt any refugees, but several civilians and two workers from an international aid organisation were injured.
Angelina Jolie, the United Nations refugee agency goodwill ambassador, visited Oure Cassoni last month in an attempt to raise awareness of the refugee crisis.
UNHCR, the UN refugee agency, said that it is now seeking permission to move the camp farther away from the border in an attempt to protect the refugees from any further strikes. The area around Bahai is a stronghold of the Darfur rebels battling the Sudanese Government in Khartoum.
The strikes, the third in as many months, underlined the logistical nightmare of protecting and providing for refugees in such a volatile region.
Refugee officials in eastern Chad say that they have so far managed to cope with the refugees from Sudan, but are now more worried with the increasing number of Chadian displaced, and the airstrikes have only raised fears of a new flood.

the German Languages is not a boring language, it used to be one of the most powerful language in the worlds, until the 2 WW ( presently Germany is slowly coming back as part of the world most powerful country). Before the 2 WW, German and French languages were the common languages on most of the international meeting and summit, not English. Not until after WW 2 to the present that the English language became the main language to be use.
I think every languages have their unique beauty and one should ( if possible) learn as many as they can in one life time. Unfortunately, the US school system only have foreign languages as part of the optional/elective courses, not a requirement, unlike Europe and many Asian Countries. My cousins in France, they have to learn French, English and has to select 2 others languages as part of their school study. (I know it’s easier for people that live in Europe to learn more languages because many countries right next to each other, while the US are so isolated), but at least we should try to learn more and be more open.

TMZ is all over the place, they are about to go into Washington, DC with another TMZ blog. Harvey Levin who runs TMZ is a nonpracticing lawyer who pops up on entertainment shows and is trying to create an empire. TMZ seems at times to be an official police arrest blog complete with mug shots. Notice they love law related topics like ANS, MGibson, DUIs, and anything having to do with the law.
I read TMZ posts but not comments. I don’t go to PH or DListed anymore as I don’t want to induce in myself a case of high blood pressure.

I know, we have a few flower’s pots broken and it’s a mess in my back yard, luckily my gardener will be here tomorrow for the bi-weekly grass mowing and cleaning so all I have to do is to go out and buy new flower pot for him. I know that the attitude towards foreign languages is different in different cultures. Where I come from, and this goes for almost every European country, not being fluent in two foreign language is considered a sign of a poor education. Okay, I’ll stop right here before I get carried away…

Hi Stranger, German prof. I’ve always found the language very lyrical in the way that it flows. One of my friends parents are from Germany and like many who didn’t know what the heck they were talking about I always thought it to be harsh, too many bad movies. For years being with she and her parents theres a beautiful flow to it. One night her mother was telling us a story from her childhood she reverted to German and even though I didn’t understand what she was saying, I knew what she was saying. Does that make sense? Think Positive (((clapping))) another great post!

Hey all. Where are they now? BAPMZS are together as usual. Both Brad & Angelina are each individually probably doing interviews with legitimate magazines as well as photoshoots to coincide with each of their upcoming films. Brad for Ocean’s 13 and for TAOJJ. Angelina for A Mighty Heart. Some monthly magazines require a 6 month lead time for their editorials. Pre production meetings for their next films, and just being is what I guess they are doing.

Nobody should get worked up about tabloid stories. Have you seen them lately at your local supermarket or newsstand? I’ve said it before, but they are looking more like comic books than “magazines”. UGLY! It’s like a 2 year old cut & pasted pictures and mashed them on a piece of paper any old way. Please. For the record, no one who is serious about a career in show business, gives exclusives to tabloids. Just like some actors form alliances with certain director’s that reflect their style (Di Caprio, De Niro w/ Scorcese, Brad w/David Fincher, Penny Cruz w/Almodovar, etc) actors form alliances with certain magazines or photographers that have a certain style. No one forms alliances with the tacky tabloids. Not even the busboys at the IVY. Even they have their standards. OMG Womens Day I found out is a T R A S H Y tabloid. I saw the magazine today. YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It looks “American” but I saw the key words only found in Brit press like “mum”, the pound symbol, etc… That’s another giveaway…If an American actor is actually quoted from a real interview discussing their mother..they would not use the word “mum” (the British version of mom), am I right? If a tab quoted Angelina as saying I was close to ‘me mum”, “I want to honuor me mums passing”…..****dobling over with laughter******** PLEASE!!! You know it’s fake. Somebody can check but I can’t recall a legit interview when Angelina was living in England when SHE herself used Britich vernacular. Even after years of living in GB, Madge and Gwynnie don’t do it and when Gwynnie tries it, it comes off as pretentious.
I do like the fact that whatever news we will be hearing about in the near future will be work related and not too much about personal life. With Cannes coming up as well as the promotions required for the last Ocean’s 13, expect more of that and more ‘back and forths’ between Brad & George on camera. State of Play is getting a lot of buzz as this has been a tv hit in Britian. Expect more of that too. Angelina will have her work related newsfull on as well with A Mighty Heart. It’s a story that is as current as anything can get now. In addition, her work on location for Wanted. Of course the tabs may get photos of these two at work and will reduce their work as an afterthought but fans can help by really emphasizing Brad & Angelna’s metier.
They lead interesting, colorful lives balanced with a sense of purpose with their humanitarian works and first and foremost, their growing family.
I’m just wondering if QQQQ # 338 was written by the same impostor who used PT’s name earlier today. Because it is attacking PT using the “angels”.

Susie- oh no, you have a tree that is down?…goodness, I hope there is not too much damages. So you have to wait until Monday for the gardener to come and cut the tree for you? or can you call them in now. My cousin in Florida also had 2 large trees crashing down during the hurrican last year, but both missed the roof by couple of feet. It was a big mess, they have to wait for 3 weeks before they can get someone to come out to cut them into junk and almost 2 months to clean up everything.
Life & Style, on the other hand, has a much more movie-ready story. They’re claiming that a gang was planning to kidnap Pax and hold him for ransom with a threat of death if the movie stars didn’t pay up. We can understand why the magazines want Brad and Angie on their covers but isn’t there anything else going on in Hollywood? At this point we’re betting Brad and Angie are experts at letting all these entertaining stories roll off their backs.

US journalism students to investigate Pearl murder
Washington/Lahore, March 28: The murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in Pakistan will be the subject of an investigative journalism seminar being planned by Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studies.
At least two films are being made on Pearl, one by an expatriate Pakistani and the other being produced by Hollywood star Brad Pitt and starring Angelina Jolie.
Denied permission to shoot in Pakistan, Jolie and Pitt last year spent several weeks in Pune and other locations in India to complete their project.

I’ll like to thank the fans for shunning the made up lies in the tabloids and promoting a positive thread. The amazing thing is that once anyone makes up a story, other new outlets do not bother to check for the truth, they just copy the lies and produce them in various forms, thus it looks like a bad day in the media. I think people should be more concern about this.
