While there are so many naysayers about the fight to end poverty, I’ll take anything we get! I currently intern for The Borgen Project, which is a non-profit organiation that is lobbying congress, political leaders and the community to support the United Nations Millenium Development Goals. The Millenium Goal is trying to halve global poverty by 2015 and eventually eliminate poverty, provide education, erradicate disease and empower women (among many things). Please get involved in this movement! President Bush pledged his support in 2000 but has not followed through. Our leaders need to focus on ending terrorism and genocide by tackling the underlying issue: poverty. Folks, there’s sad news in the tabloid world. I’ve just learned that poor, put-upon Bonnie Fuller has been demoted at the Star. Looks like the reign of Queen Bonnie has ended…..
Star struck
The ax fell again at Star and slumping American Media. Twenty people were let go, including 12 at the celebrity magazine.
Most of the cutbacks were said to have been orchestrated by Candace Trunzo, the new editor-in-chief of Star who has shoved the company’s Editorial Director Bonnie Fuller into a reduced role.
Those cuts included Executive Editor Jon Auerbach, who’s a former high ranking editor at The Post and an ex-CNN producer.
Auerbach, who was out of the office sick yesterday, was reportedly fuming that his name was released before he was told in person.
The list of Star cuts also includes highly-regarded Design Director Orville Clarke, veteran Senior Editor Joe Tirella, who was responsible for many of the magazine’s cover packages, Film Critic Marshall Fine, reporter Shira Levine, New York Photo Editors Antoinette Campana and Gerald Jean-Pierre, Director of Public Relations Kate Ottenberg, an L.A.-based photo editor and a New York-based designer.
Sources said the news was delivered by AMI’s senior Vice President of Human Relations, Dan Rotstein.
THOSE WHO WERE IN THE OFFICE WHEN THE BAD NEWS WAS DELIVERED WERE REQUIRED TO PACK UP THEIR DESKS THAT DAY - LEADING SOME TO LEAVE THE OFFICE IN TEARS.
Sources also say AMI’s Creative Director Colin Jenkins, who had been based in Boca Raton, Fla., will now be taking control of Star’s cover designs.
It comes only days after AMI finally released its long overdue 2006 fiscal year results, in which it shows a net loss of $160 million on revenue of $496.2 million for the period ending March 31, 2006.
That compares to the restated results for the preceeding fiscal year, where it now shows a net loss of $13.8 million on revenue of $501.8 million.
It also said the Securities and Exchange Commission had started a probe of its books even as it restated results from 2004 and 2005.

Mag Circulation Numbers Says:

If any of you are interested, here are the Magazine circulation numbers for 2006 & 2005 . Note that only the 2006 subscription numbers were verifiable, not the 2005 number.
Notice how the numbers for US Mag were “falsely” reported for 2005 . How was that possible to lose almost 1 million subscription in one year period…unless it was false reporting — just like the way they go about reporting lies in their mag week after week.
PEOPLE Mag numbers are roughly about the same …true reporting .

Mag Circulation Numbers. When you say that US Weakly numbers were FALSELY REPORTED, I’m not sure whether you mean that they were INCORRECTLY reported because if you look at the 2005 numbers, the total column (column 3) is INCORRECT and should be more than 2.6 million.

Actually, I’m surprised that the numbers can be so incorrect. I understand that one of the big 4 auditors are required to verify the actual circulation numbers because they affect the amount of money advertisers will pay for advertisement.

It seem AMI has had to restate profits for more than 2 year back. And it looks like US Weakly numbers are also going down. I certainly hope that people are starting to get turned off by the outright lies and negativity about people they write about. As Human Beings, there’s clearly a desire to read about Britney’s nervous breakdown, Anne Nicole smith’s tragic death and what will happen to Dannilynn. As human beings, we may all want to stare at a car accident and be thankful it hasn’t happened to us. However, none of us want to read LIES about car accident or Anne Nicole Smith. If you know it is a lie, you wouldn’t get that “but for the grace of God, there goes I” feeling. And by now, most sane people have worked out that Tablies LIE big time.

US Weakly has LIED so often and been caught out so often, that it is not surprising that their numbers are falling. Unnamed sources quoting that US$2.0m was given as a donation. That was just dumb. Why did Janice Min even allow something so verifiable and so likely to be WRONG get published I don’t know. I mean, you don’t have to be a genius to know that the Jolie Pitts must be absolutely CAREFUL never to be accused of bribery after the fiasco of the Madonna adoption.

I’m laughing my butt off when the Tabs and the haters are saying that Brad is sick with adoptions and he only wants bio kids. He was all for it from the get go. The man also said that he can’t imagine his life without Maddox and Zahara. He said he just can’t live without them.

The haters themselves are NOT keen on the idea of adoption. They probbly think orphans are “low class” and nothing to be proud off. They think and wish everyone would have their mentality. That’s why they cant stand Angie. That’s why they cannot believe Brad could love any children, be they bio or adopted.

Brad has proved them wrong. In an interview, Brad said they are all blood and love them all

First of all how do we know Angie even said she was going to stay home. Maybe she didn’t even say that. Maybe someone else did. Maybe she said she would be home for awhile until her next project start, and it was interpreted as staying at home. I am certain Wanted didn’t just spring up from the ground. Angie knew about this before the adoption. Movie deals just don’t happen. Remember the script went through a rewrite, which means she knew about the movie in advance of the adoption. You can’t defend everything that is printed about you. Once you start you will be defending yourself the rest of your life. The tabs will have won, because they are getting quotes from you. Quotes mean more stories. Everyone assumes that Angie really said she was staying home. We don’t know. Just like we don’t know anything about these people unless we hear them say so. And remember they were in Vietnam and so much misinformation has come out of there concerning this adoption and Angie. Taking the pictures was different than having screaming papps running after Pax. It was controlled and probably had only one or two people taking pictures. The pictures look so serene. It wasn’t a mad house. In the next few weeks it is going to get even crazier on these threads and in HW and the world of tabs because there will not be any pictures of them. Therefore no news, therefore no sales, therefore no hits on blogs. People stop your in fighting. We need to just stop and think. These people mean money to a lot of people. Last night the entertainment shows were boring. Who really cares about Lohan and the rest? Angie might never have said anything. Remember the blob comment? It was taken totally out of context. to all the haters, please read and use your brain:–

(1) The industry trade paper, variety said the movie “wanted” was pushed back to May instead of April . Even though the movie “wanted” is going to start filming in May, we dont know whether it’s the beginning of May or end of May. If you do a search on this movie, you will notice that Angie is NOT the main character in this movie. She is playing a SUPPORTING role. She might not be due on the set until later, or even the beginning of summer. Until there are pictures of her on the set, that is until there are MORE FACTS, we should refrain froming an opinion.

(2) US mag talked about Angie is also booked for “Changling” and ” Atlas Shrugged”. Again, if you do a search on “Atlas Shrugged”, this movie is no where close to start filming. In fact, it might not even start until 2 or 3 years from now. Having a movie in the pipeline does NOT mean she is doing all these movies all at once. To suck up everything this mag tell you and start writing opinions against her is NAIVE.

(3)Being a good mother does NOT mean 24/7. Stability does NOT mean staying put in one city. Stability means living in the same roof, having the same parent, moulding by the same parents, getting instructions, directions, training by the same parent. Many actors/actress bring the kids on location. Think, Wil

Smith. Angie has said in interview that breakfast for the children is the same time everyday whether in Europe or in the USA. Same thing with bed time, every day it is 8 pm , always the same even they are in a different country. To sum up in one sentence, stability means having the SIMILAR routine.

(4) There is NO actual picture of Angie on the test screen in Chicago. Why????? Could this be made up? Is this from a source, insider, a close friend which means nameless, which means NON-EXISTENT? Will us mag’s claim stand up in court?

To all those haters, forming an opinion against her means you SUCK UP everything this tabloids said. It means you dont do CRITICAL THINKING.
