Celebrities Fight Poverty… in German
Celebrities continue in the worldwide fight against poverty in the German “Your Voice Against Poverty” commercial that was shown during the G8 Summit in Germany.
(The Group of Eight (G8) is an international forum for the governments of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States.)
In the black-and-white commercial, 21 celebrities appear and speak German including Bono, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Penelope Cruz, Antonio Banderas, Claudia Schiffer, and miscellaneous German celebrities.

The UN refugee agency is battling the elements, massive logistics obstacles and daunting security challenges to help hundreds of thousands of people uprooted by the conflict in Sudan’s Darfur region.
The refugees and displaced people fled fighting that erupted in Sudan’s western region of Darfur in early 2003. By late 2004, some 200,000 Sudanese had fled across the border to neighboring Chad and an estimated 1.6 million were displaced within Darfur, where militias reportedly killed, raped and forced hundreds of thousands from their homes.

I’m just a really big supporter of this campaign and want others to really get behind too I guess. It’s not just about financial contributions.

I think you’re right on that one E. I guess I’m not the only one who tends to think of them as inter-related. Poverty=lack of education & knowledge=more occurrences of AIDS. Vicious cycle isn’t it?

I love your report and can only imagine the time and energy it takes to write. That was just a crappy thing to say to you…I think Coahahahaha needs to spend some quality time with her “fwends” to settle down.

Hi there! I think that #168 comment from “Passing Through” was just a hater pretending to be PT. For one thing, PT has repeatedly said she NEVER bought any of the tabs, just stood (or sat somewhere) at her local Walmart and read all the tabs, took notes, and wrote her hilarious tab report and then posted them every week.

If you read through the last thread, you’ll see that someone has been on her behind about the Tabloid Report and it is obviously that same person who has posted this under her moniker. I know it’s hard getting to know who is who here and this is why I wish we could sign in on this blog.
Clearly my point was lost on a few of you - I suggest you grab a piece of Perspective Cake too. Of course there is a time and place for PT’s Tabloid Report. I just find it absurd that it would be a concern on a thread about FIGHTING POVERTY!
