Welshman Ioan Gruffudd, aka Mr. Fantastic, attends the premiere of The TV Set, accompanied by fiancee Alice Evans on Thursday night at the Crest Theatre in Westwood, Calif.

The TV Set, out April 6, tells the story of a TV pilot as it goes through the Network TV process of casting, production and finally airing. It co-stars X-Files‘ David Duchovny (pictured), Sigourney Weaver, and Justine Bateman (Men in Trees, Family Ties).

Ioan Griffudd is really a tremendous actor, who’s just now getting noticed here in the USA. The first time I saw him in a movie was “Solomon and Gaynor” He was amazing and the movie was a real love story/tear-jerker. If you can rent it thru Netflix, do it! After he made that, I noticed him in Titanic. Such a tiny part! He was Horatio Hornblower and I really like that series.
He seems perfect for those period movies. I loved him as Sir Lancelot in King Arthur.

Thanks so much for the clip. I agree that when he speaks Welsh he is even better. The whole interview was alot of fun. The TV Set is suppose to be a funny movie.

He was in the movie Titanic with Leo and Kate. He was great in King Arthur with Clive Owen.

Cute and talented but his fiance Alice Evans seems to be a very needy “starlet”. She didn’t like comments on her “style” made at IMDb and other sites (search Sky Showbiz for ex.), so she got Ioan to shut down his huge fan website, IoanOnline.

The Tv Set is one of the most brilliant film I have seen in years. David Duchovny is hilarious.
