OlderSanjaya’s Biggest Fan is Back
Ferl’s 15 minutes of fame continues!
Sanjaya’s biggest fan, aka Ashley Ferl, is riding out her 15 minutes of fame for as long as she can. The 13-year-old posed for cameras in an exclusive photoshoot in New York City last week.
While in Los Angeles this week before, Ferl made it to a taping of American Idol and couldn’t hold back the tears during Sanjaya Malakar’s rock-out performance of The Kinks‘ “You Really Got Me.”
When Idol producers noticed the dramatic waterworks, they invited the young fan back to the results show, where she got got to meet all of the Idols.
“I got all their autographs,” she enthused. “I got earrings from Paula Abdul. They’re like hearts.”
Ashley’s favorite contestant from season 4? Fran Drescher double Mikalah Gordon.
I hope they invite Ferl back to the finale when Sanjaya performs!

The odd thing is this girl cried for a few performances, but sangaya is the only one people are talking about, i wonder why.

I’m embarrased for her. It’s ridiculous how she wept for a guy that’s not even a real star, and it’s even more ridiculous how she’s gaining publicity for it.

Crying for the Beatles, OK, I understand. I would’ve been really thrilled (not crying, though) if I’d met John or Paul when they were young and incredibly hot. They are geniuses. But Sanjaya!! What’s wrong with the world?

I wanted to punch a hole through the t.v when I saw her crying… She looked so stupid and I know it is not really nice to make fun of lil kids but if I were the girl sitting next to her I would have ***** slapped the lil freak…
Who knew crying on TV could lead to all this 15 minutes of fame and free merchandise. I thought I was Sanyaya biggest fan. Oh well, I will continue to cry everytime he sings in my living room.

It is the most hilarious thing in the world to see her crying over Sanjaya. And the kicker is : she cried at EVERY performance (even for a girl, Melinda). Awesome!
