Halle Berry @ David Letterman

Halle Berry @ David Letterman

Halle Berry pops into NYC’s Ed Sullivan Theater on Monday to tape her segment on The Late Show with David Letterman , airing tonight. She wore an Alvin Valley ruffled blouse, Roberto Cavalli vest and Gold Sign leather pants.

Her thriller Perfect Stranger co-starring Bruce Willis opens this Friday. Senator Barack Obama will also be on tonight’s show. 15+ pictures inside…

Yesterday, Halle spoke out against Parade magazine saying they regurgitated quotes from old interviews and “sensationalized” her story about her suicide attempts.

“It wasn’t my wish to go into all of that again in this time of my life. I talked about it on Larry King Live and Oprah when it was relevant, and I felt like it was important to help other women and share it with them,” she said.

“But it’s just not where I am today and I really hate that it’s been presented like it is… I’m in such a great time in my life right now, it wouldn’t be my wish to really revisit that period, but this outlet did and made it seem as if it were current again.”

Parade Magazine fired back this statement: “All of the quotes in the April 1 Parade profile on Halle Berry came from a candid sit-down interview between Ms. Berry and Parade writer Emily Listfield on January 25, 2007. Ms. Berry talked very freely (on tape) about the challenges she has faced in her life, including her failed marriages and suicide attempt. It is unfortunate that Ms. Berry has chosen to respond to media interest by backing away from what she originally told Parade. Anyone who actually read the article is sure to see it as a very positive profile of a strong woman who has overcome many challenges in her life and is now on a clear path to happiness.”

Who do you believe? Halle or Parade?

You guys, please let us get real. Halle Berry is not playing a victim. Why keep saying that? I watched her on TV and let me tell you, that girl does not look depressed. I think too many people WANT her to be unhappy. I know it really hurts some guys to think that she may actually have found a true partner in Gabriel Aubry. It’s salt in a wound.

People always say they will love someone forever. That doesn’t mean Halle Berry is still “in love” with David Justice. How many years has it been since they parted? She’s had two more serious relationships since her divorce from Justice. Believe me, she is completely over that dude. She has a busy career and satisfying love life. She’s having fun. She’s not caring about David Justice. Besides, he’s married with children now. He’s the one who is probably keeping up with her since she is so much in the public eye. I wonder how David, Eric and Michael feel about her dating this gorgeous French Canadian. As black men, I’ll bet you they don’t like it.

Usually the most difficult thing to get over after a divorce is anger. I’ll bet that is what Halle Berry had to deal with the most after her relationships ended. That and the feeling that she was doomed to repeat a bad cycle.

Halle is doing fine now. Just dandy. I saw her on “Live with Regis and Kelly.” She looks fantastic and her smiles are infectious. I am so happy for her.

Number 23 — I don’t like to personally attack people here, but I have to tell you that your anger is really out of line. Hating Halle Berry that much for being with Gabriel Aubry is really not a good thing — especially for you. I’m sorry, but that is the honest to goodness truth.

They would never have printed the suicide story had she not OPENED HER FAT ******* MOUTH and told them about it — keep in mind you morons who are defending her that this is about the FOURTH INTERVIEW she’s done where she has talked about her suicide. She has spent her WHOLE CAREER playing the “victim” card (in movie roles and in her personal life). Whenever she needs people to see her crappy movies she discusses how she was beaten by her ex-boyfriend and became deaf in one ear, or how her ex-husbands cheated on her, or how hard it is to be a black female actress in hollywood. Seriously, this ***** CAN’T HELP but to put her most miserable life experiences “out there” - she thrives on it because she’s a fame ***** like every actor in hollywood. THink about it, what would she talk about if she didn’t talk about her life’s abuses.

To Go Halle-more media sources @ 04/10/2007 at 11:14 am

To GH–honey, don’t get yourself upset at these folks, it’s not worth it.

See posts for more media sources i.e. bcast, print and video on the Halle getting her star JJ post.

BTW–I really don’t hubby #1 could careless about Halle, hasn’t said a word since he has gotten on w/his life.

Well, she could talk about how much she loves Aubry and how well he’s treating her, but she’s done that already. I think that with counseling, she has learned that she needs to be true to herself. She doesn’t owe the public access to her private life.

I am sure that Halle Berry’s exes are going on with their lives. However, David Justice or any of those exes would be foolish to comment publicly on what they think about Halle’s relationship with Aubry, especially if they cheated. They should just stay mum.

Just for the record, I really don’t get mad at people here. Sometimes I just enjoy the dispute as long as it relates to the topics. I can’t change anyone’s mind.

Ciao for now.

so who cares what they had to say about Halle [not me]

The suicide thing is old news! Whhhhy it came up again?
MONEY.. [not because they care about Halle or suicide victims]
MONEY!
As for all the hate comments!!! Damn are you all for real?? IMO you sound somewhat suicidal, has Halle victimize you??

this is true @ 04/10/2007 at 2:29 pm

This is tru GH, then she needs to stop bringing it up no matter how much therapy she is getting or how much she is in love or how he treats her. Not being a wet blanket.

Love has nothing to do with it–as Tina would say.

Hope you got the three media links for the other great stuff on Halle. Wasn’t starting anything with my BTW comment, glad you weren’t upset.

She is playing the sympathy card, that’s why her marriages failed. She wants people to go see her crappy movie! She is spoiled, egotistical and mean according to some stories about her in a few tabloid papers, like Star and the Enquirer. She is a chronic flirt according to the Enquirer a few years ago when she was with then husband Eric Benet. I guess he had reason for his infidelities, and ordinary people can’t talk to her or look at her according to Star mag, she had one of her mansions renovated when the working men couldn’t take their eyes off of her and she ranted to them they were only there to do their job! She wouldn’t even sign an autograph for the guys. Once again she is ugly, quite full of herself and overrated!

And when she pulls stuff like this, she wonders why Denzel Washington doesn’t want to work with her?

next Buddhism lesson @ 04/10/2007 at 11:10 pm

dependent origination:

“One of the most important Buddhist concepts, dependent origination holds that all beings and phenomena exist or occur in relation to other beings or phenomena. All things are linked in an intricate web of causation and connection, and nothing, whether in the realm of human affairs or natural phenomena, can exist or occur solely of its own accord. Greater emphasis is placed on the interdependent relationships between individuals than on the individual alone.”

Basically, how everything in the world is interconnected to each other through our actions, words and deeds regardless of environment, proximity/location, etc.

For example all of the comments from the haters, fans, others effect each other on this thread and in the world.
