I feel soooo bad for the woman !!! I’m as jealous as you other girls but i think whoever wentworth dates, she’s gonna have a tough time dealing with his female fans cause they’re soooo protective of him. I agree with both of you girls, I am also an African American female (yellow just like Went) and would love to see if he would ever date anyone who is like himself. I’m just curious. But from what I’ve heard and seen, black women don’t even cross his radar. I don’t care what he said about Nicole Ari-Parker, I totally think she was an idea he got from Rockmond Dunbar since he and Nicole were on soul food together. Ever since that little girl broke his heart and called him the N-word in school when she found out about his heritage, he has been chasing that white girl all his life. I hope he either gets the girl he loves or the psychiatric help he needs. LOL

Someone also commented on the shirt that Went is wearing, don’t know who.

Anyway, when Went isn’t working, he’s not a flashy dresser. I love that about him. He so reminds me of a crush I had in high school. The guy only wore white T’s and khakis almost everyday. White, pressed, crisp, clean white t-shirts (not oversized) and creased khakis. Simple but still so damn sexy. The man looks incredible in anything. He could wear leaves like an guilty Adam and still be completely and utterly delicious, a burlap bag. It doesn’t even matter.

If he IS dressed down for their little get-together, that just means that they’ve been seeing each other for a while. Which makes sense if she really spent the night with him. Went doesn’t seem like the type to get down and dirty on a first date. I really don’t think this was a “new girlfriend” date. More like an I’ve-really-missed-you let’s-get-naked date.

About Went going for one of us. Yes, I’m African American/black, too. The odds of that happening are very slim.

I hate to go all Freudian on you but here goes. Went’s mother is basically white and his father is black. If Went has a healthy relationship with his mother, which I’m sure he does, he’s going to go for someone who generally looks/reminds him of her in a subconscious kind of way. I mean, his mother is the only person in his family that I’ve even heard him mention in an interview. Also, Went has two younger sisters. I’ve never seen them, but if their African American features are more prominent than his, that’s another strike against us. Subconsciously, when he looks at darker/black women, he sees his sisters. He would more likely want to be friends with us, maybe confide in and protect us, rather than date us. Also, his parents are divorced, if the divorce was more his father’s fault, sorry girls, that’s yet another strike against us in his subconscious mind. Not that Went’s prejudice against us, just that our preferences of the opposite sex are influence by more than what people think. Most likely he doesn’t see him nor his father’s side of the family that much. I mean let’s face it, divorces can sometimes be the best thing but the overall effect on the children is never really all that good.

A lot of these negative comments about Amie’s looks bothers me. She’s not ugly and she’s not all Hollywood, fake, picture-perfect either. I think that’s a good thing. He is so gorgeous, but he still wants an everyday average girl. Some of you should be happy. That means you just might have a chance with him. Stop all that hatin’! ;0)

OK…you just “schooled” me right there. I missed the Nicole Ari-Parker thing. What did he say about her? And did he really have an incident in school that pushed him away from fine ladies of color? I would think that Wentworth, with his level of intelligence & cognitive thinking, would not be so shallow or limit his opportunity because someone showed their ignorance. I understand that he likes to pick his battles when it comes to the race issue. But because someone chose to be totally derogatory and called him outside of his given name, I would think he would be able to rise above that. Why punish beautiful women of color in order to avoid color controversy? I would hope that this is not the case and that any lady of any ethnic background, including Black women, could have a place in his heart. So tired of fighting this battle with men of color who chose to not give us a chance….

Not talking about Wentworth….just talking about Brothas, in general….

That is a very psychological way to look at it. Makes a lot of sense and I could probably see why he is drawn to the type of women he is. But if Black women can get past the amount of rejection, ridicule & judgment we deal with all day, from everywhere, rise above it all and still accept Black men in our lives, I would hope that someone like Wentworth, and others like him, could do the same. I guess I will just have to accept the idea that a woman of color may not be his ideal choice for a number of different reasons, but it would really be nice and very surprising to see. I would hope that maybe one day, a Sista could win his heart and that color is no issue when it comes to matters of his heart….
