If I’m not mistaken, I think they are sitting behind them at a different table. I doubt it was a group date!

I know the obsessive fangirls will kill me for saying this, but if there was any doubt in my mind that they’re dating, it’s definitely gone after watching the video. There’s signs all over in it that they are a couple. The way they keep touching each other. They have their arms around each other in those very quick photosnaps the video showed. I don’t think they would do that unless they were a couple, it’s a very coupleish thing to do. In one of the pics, the second Went noticed they were being photographed, he pulled his arm off her, like he knows what would happen if they got caught and what kind of backlash he and his new girlfriend would face. He’s trying to protect her, which is why in all the earlier pics they were walking so far from each other.

And if you look at the picture on the last row above, second from left or third from right, grainy as it is, you can clearly see Went’s rather besotted gaze in Amie’s direction. I rest my case.

I’m just sitting back enjoying the protests and denial that is to come. No matter how many pictures are posted, some of you will still remain in denial that yes, he is actually involved with this woman and yes, they’re having sex! There could be a pic of them actually in the act and some of you deluded fangirls will still claim it’s staged or not really what it is, anything to keep up your deluded fantasies. Face facts! he’s with Amie, they’re involved. Doesn’t matter how long they’ve known each other or that other people are in that pic of them. So what you’re saying is couples never go out with friends, as a group? You people are hysterical! He’s with her! Get over it!

ITA with dilly. It is very clear to me that he’s noticed that they’re being followed and he being who he is and too polite to ask the photographer to stop taking pictures (not that the paparazzi would anyway), he’s decided to try to look like it’s just a casual get together. Of course he knows by now what kind of attention he gets, but clearly his new non-celeb girlfriend doesn’t, so she feels free to express her touchiness for her boyfriend and doesn’t realize that there’s a camera there.

Btw, in case anyone is wondering, I am not this woman or any of her friends here to defend her. I’m just as much as Went fan as you all and I too felt just as jealous at first. Only thing is that I’m realistic enough to realize that it’s just a celeb crush fantasy, and I would never have any chance w/Went or any celeb for that matter so I’m fine with this now. #10 Dilly - Oh sure. As I posted elsewhere I can totally appreciate his reticent body language may well be due to a suspicion on his part that they are being photographed. And he is definitely being attentive to a degree. There is just a difference in their vibes I noticed. I can’t really offer any kind of proper opinion on why that might be.

Whatever, I’m now assuming they are together (or this really is a very elaborate setup), and I wish them all the best.

It just looks like she’s the one laughing. When she put her hand on her hip, she laughed a bit but, it seemed like Went didn’t even crack a smile. I do admit that in the pictures where they’re in the restaurant and she has one hand on his shoulder she’s all over him because if you look at Went’s left hip, her arm is going around his waist. Can you see her hand on his left hip? You can tell she wants him bad.
I think this is part of a publicity stunt. Why? well, for the simple fact that if this is Went’s girlfriend why would he make it so obvious as to go out with her in broad daylight with a bottle of champagne. He obviously wanted the would to see that he was out and about with some ugly fake blond chick. Whatever, they’re both losers.

I took another look at this video. It does appear that Went and Amie are almost walking towards the camera. Something doesn’t look right. The camera is not shaking at all and the audio is clear. Good observation.

The camera was still because the photographer was in a car resting it on something - hence no shakes - and some of the shots were blurry and not clear. They were totally oblivious at first and I think Went takes his arm from around because he spots the camera and he’s shocked, not because he’s trying to hide anything or to deny being with her. Not because it’s all some type of publicity stunt. That is crazy.

He is a private guy and now we know why. Look at the response this has generated. I’m drawn to all the candid shots of celebs like everyone else on this board. In case any of the non-fangirls are still here and want to hear my latest theory, here it is. I think it will explain both the camera tripod thing and the pics.

Wentworth and Amie are dating. Went’s PR people know that he hasn’t gotten a movie role or anything else this summer, and they want to keep him in the press. Without telling him (because I hardly think he’d agree to a publicity stunt that would drag his friends or family into the paparazzi’s line of fire), his PR people hire photographers to follow him around on a date, and sell the photos to the Polish site. He and Amie are on the date when he notices they’re being followed. He takes his arm off her and acts aloof and casual for the camera to try to hide the fact that they’re together. But he don’t know that the PR people have also tipped off Amie’s name to the press - hence the Polish site knowing her name and the French video with them walking together.

I think this would explain everything that has come out so far. Only question left is (if this is really what happened) why Went’s PR people would stoop so low, but then this is Hollywood and technically they probably thought they are just doing their jobs.

Could I add that I don’t understand why so many (presumably quite young?) people seem to think that once you reach your 30’s there is something wrong with going back to education? Just because someone is currently studying doesn’t mean they haven’t already achieved something in life.

As for the brunette vs blonde comments: well MY type of guy has always been the Nordic, tall fair-haired type. I also hate shaved heads. Yet I find Wentworth to be one of the most attractive men I’ve clapped eyes on! I’m also happily married to a dark haired, dark eyed guy who stands all of 5 ft 8. Just because one has a type doesn’t mean you discount going out with someone different!

What about this exactly speaks of a “relationship” or “dating”. All i see is Went being bored and distanced from her. They look so platonic to me.

Over30, I’m glad someone agrees w/me. I thought someone was going to be out for my blood for posting that.

I would believe they were just friends that except a) the way he’s looking at her in the really grainy photo and them having their arms around each other suggests otherwise to me, and b) I can’t imagine him suddenly pulling away from her when he notices the photographer unless they’re more than friends and he’s being protective of her and their relationship. Remember how he used to act when he was out w/Marianna? They pretty much ignored the cameras or waved and smiled, he didn’t try and pull her away from them, why? Because we learned later that they were just friends. But from the pics and the video, I get the sense that he’s trying to shield Amie, most likely because they’re dating. Otherwise he’d probably just have ignored the cameras the way he used to do w/Marianna. Plus the fact about them supposedly dating for 2 months had to come from somewhere. It seems too specific to be made up by the French newspeople. It’s probably true because it’s something else his PR team tipped off.

As for the going back to college thing, who knows? Heck, I’m going to graduate from law school in less than a month and I’m even thinking of going back to school to be a law librarian! And the oldest student in my class is well into her 40s. Gosh, I sure hope she’s not dumb. *eyeroll*

I also think that anyone who is hoping for some confirmation about this story one way or another is going to be sorely disappointed. Went strikes just like the kind of person who wouldn’t ever comment on his private life.

i am happy for wentworth if she is his gf but comon what if she’s not, i am sure he will be so afraid to get one seeing this reaction, but we can’t help ourselves we want to know about him. someone said he confirmed he wasn’t dating marianna in an interview. so i heard. maybe he will confirm whether he an amie are friends or not. i am feeling so sorry for marianna. when will he have his next interview. please does anyone know. whatever i think he should get married cos he is getting old.we love you all the same. and hope u get to work with drew barrymore and reese witherspoon (he is totally into blondes)

It is boring. Nobody will have the chance to ask Went since he is on hiatus, so we have to wait till he starts shooting season 3.

Also, this whole date happened more than a week ago, Amie is probably back in her college dorm, and Went is back at his apartment, and we are going on and on with this? I too am done.

When people start calling each other names because they disagree with one’s opinion or thoughts, it has gotten out of hand . No one is saying not to respond to someone’s opinion, it should be done in a respectful way without getting at each other’s throats. I know this is impossible to do sometimes.

I also read the blog that said she was waitressing, could it not be that she already is a graduate and she gave up full time employment to go back to college full time for a career change and that part time waitressing would provide her with some form of income top-up whilst studying? Maybe she wasnt able to afford college/university in her 20s? You’re right, I don’t know her life history or her personal circumstances, but believe me good grades equal free money for college. I’ve also struggled financially at one point as a college student I had no money for tuition; then I applied for scholarships and I thank god everyday that he gave me the strength and patience to get good grades, and guess what happened? college was paid for and I am still enjoying the fruits of that. I’m telling you, there are ways to get around hardships such as these, you just have to find the loop holes. It’s just hard for me to believe that at that age you have not found a solution yet. Really college takes 10 years max. It’s not that hard if you try.

Wentworth can date whoever he wants but, If I were in his shoes I’d date someone that already has a career. Wentworth has his career, so someone who is also set with a career would be better, in my opinion of course. Not that my opinion matters but whatever. That’s how I feel.

The only ones being childish here are the people attacking and hating on Went’s lady friend, the ones threating to boycott Prison Break if Went has a girlfriend, to those people you need to grow the hell up and get a effing life!

What people perceived is very important in this society?
