Jennifer Aniston (in Chanel) walks the red carpet with former boy bander Lance Bass at The GLAAD Media Awards 2007 at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) recognized Aniston, who recently portrayed a lesbian on Dirt, with the Vanguard Award for her contributions to increased visibility and understanding of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.
Lance presented tennis legend and activist Martina Navratilova with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award.

IT’S BEEN TWO YEARS, SHE SHOULD HAVE MOVED THE FCUK ON!!! Sheesh, Reese W had been separated only 5 months, she had TWO KIDS with Ryan Philippe, and even she has moved on. But to me she had MORE CLASS, she didn’t whine on Oprah, she didn’t go on VF to allow her best friends to malign her ex-husband and his new girl, she just bravely moved on with her life, showed her new slim figure on the GGs and Oscars, and just reeked CLASS all the way!

JJ, I’m waiting for new pics of the BAMPZS not the odd looking MANISTON, she’ll take any award to stay in the news. She got an award for being a hypocrite, and to boost rating for the show ‘dirty girl’

Whoa, have to admit JEn looks better with her nose shaved. I guess she definitely learned a thing or two from Ashlee Simpson’s career saving nose job, huh? Jen’s 18 years older than Ashlee, though, so I don’t think this will rejuvenate her sagging career.
Does anyone know if she’s actually contracted to work on any new films yet? Even Katie Holmes has one more lame movie under her belt….. maybe Jen will join Scientology for a career boost.
I’ve noticed how many fans are saying that “Jen’s looking gorgeous, she’s glowing…”, the word ‘glowing’ is being used a LOT…it’s called fake tan people, Paris Hilton does it and lotsa other slebs. It’s not ‘glowing’. Inner health glows, being a smoker doesn’t allow for that, though.
Keisha, I’m glad you said your opinion coz outta these comments yours to date seems to be the only one from the community supposedly represented by the GLAAD Awards. It would be good to hear Rosie on the View ask Jen more about the reasons behind her winning the Vanguard; it’d be good, Rosie’s to the point kinda person.

Jen looks good, happy and fresh. I’m glad the gay and lesbian community honored her, it was really a way of saying “HEY, thanks for not shying away from this issue”. And I’m glad she is not hiding away, she just doesn’t give a **** what people want to say about her and she won’t let anyone run her off. That shows strong character. I wish her the best as always.

At the ceremony, Jake Gyllenhaal presented Jennifer Aniston with GLAAD’s Vanguard Award, honoring media professionals who, through their work, have increased the visibility and understanding of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. Gyllenhaal and Aniston became friends while filming The Good Girl together.
“I want to thank GLAAD for their steadfast commitment to opening people’s minds,” Aniston said in her acceptance speech. “This is called the Vanguard Award which in some ways suggests I’m at the forefront. But I’m here with you tonight to say that I’m proud to stand not in front of you, but I stand right beside you. I commend you.”
Is this chick crazy or full of herself, that awards suggest that they needed pr, how in the hell did she get this award. What has she done?
What I don’t get is how some will say how they don’t get how why people say nasty things when Angelina gets it all the time? It’s ok for Angelina but not for this woman? By the way we all know this woman got the GLAAD award was for her service as being Vince Vaughs “girlfriend” for a while. I miss them together. I read that they might be getting back with each other. I hope this woman gets back with her ex boyfriend.
Maybe I will reserve judgement and hear her whole speech. I can think of 10 other peeps who devote more time and energy to this particular cause. Maybe they will explain what she has done in the presentation. I honestly think her pr and glaad got together chose her glaad so that their profile will be raised, and Huvane cause it helps his clients ego and gives her a cause?
I don’t get it. I don’t think she has a sense of style… She has the most boring look. Boring hair, boring clothes, and her face looks, well, sort of manly. Her acting totally seems mediocre . But it’s just me. Everyone’s different, and it’s totally fine. I’m just expressing my thought. I just think she’s the most overrated actress.
