Awful, just awful. Sincere heartfelt prayers and well wishes to everyone involved this tragedy.

My prayers and thoughts go out to the victims, their family, the students and faculty at VA Tech. My God be with them in their time of need. Peace to all

This hit close to home, my best friends niece is a junior at VT. She is terrified to go back to class. My thoughts and prayers of heartfelt sympathy are with them and their families. GOD BLESS

Virtual handholding and prayers from me too. Such a tragic event. There is just too much hating and violence in this world today.

Please don’t hate on this kid’s parents - I am sure they are absolutely horrified and devastated at what their son has done. They have lost a loved one too. From what I just saw on CNN, they seemed to be very congenial, hardworking people just trying to make a better life for themselves. Violence like this is always senseless.

instead of handholding why don’t you vote for an intelligent President who is more about defense than violence ? This person killed 33 people. That is horrible. What makes someone do this?

FYI: 9mm guns have some of the cheaper bullets buyable. Gun control anyone? Awful. Awful.

And this psycho above, what is his motivation? Where does this come from?

May the those who have died rest in eternal peace. And may their families find solace in the wishes we all send out to them.

Can we send money anywhere to victims’ families? Is there a fund set up?

The only thing gun control does is take guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens. The people who would go on these shooting rampages don’t care if it’s illegal to own a gun- these are premeditated acts- if guns were illegal in the US or Virginia he would have found it somewhere else, or purchased it illegally.

I’m from Virginia and come from a huge tech family (7 cousins who attended)…this hits incredibly close to home. No one is really to blame in this tragedy. His parents didn’t cause this, the police responded the best that they could. Yes, in retrospect, if you changed A, B, and C, things could have been different, and Lord knows I wish things were different. That doesn’t mean that the president and police department should be held accountable for this student’s rage, and the untimely deaths of the other 32 students. The media brings terrible images into our homes on an almost constant basis- but to blame the media is a cop-out.

I have personally been donating through funds that my cousins who are alumni set up- there are a whole bunch of alumni based funds for the families of those whose lives were lost.

Everyone affected by this senseless tragedy is in my prayers.

There is a season for everything…today is a day for mourning and reflection.

While changing laws and Presidents may prevent future mass shootings, we live in a world that has access to the technology to make guns out of pens. If angered enough, people will always find a way to kill people. I say we go deeper than the law and go deeper into our hearts and ask how kindness and love towards one another can prevent the motivation to do such horrible things.

Kill the thought with kindness and you will make the weapon obsolete.

I feel sadness for everybody involved.

My heart goes out to all the victims families. Nobody knows what the killer was feeling or going through, but maybe every now and then we all need some kind of love and attention from our families. A hug and can smooth out a lot of rough spots in this life.

I am so mad that one person can wreck such havoc on innocent lives.

Can somebody post deaths caused by knives, by drowning and other means? Guns are only dangerous in the hands of dangerous people. Have you heard of this other would be massacre in another university that was prevented because the shooter was gunned down by other students who happened to have been armed too? No, you haven’t, have you? That is because it was only written up in two newspapers. The media never picked it up because it wasn’t good copy. Not enough tragedy and guns were used as a defense.

This guy would have found some other way of taking other lives out because that was what he wanted to do. The Columbine shooters had pipe bombs in their arsenal too. They meant to take out as many as they can just like this one. Nothing could have stopped them once they had a plan going…not you, not the Police, not the President, not Congress, etc. because nobody knew their plans but them!!

Reality, you are living in a bubble of stupidity with your reasoning. Think before you post!!! because there’s just no logic to it.
