Halle, 40, held back her model boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, 31, from getting into a major scuffle with paparazzi at LAX airport on Tuesday.
The cozy couple returned home from a Mexican getaway after spending five days in Cabo San Lucas.

Halle and Gabriel met in Oct 05, started dating in Nov, and the relationship became public at the end of Jan 06. Thanks for the confirmation that Halle did not bankroll his restaurant and hopefully that rumour will end. Also if you don’t want to date a white person for whatever reason that’s fine but there is no reason to disparage those who do. And Gabriel is way above most of the men Halle has dated before in just about every respect. Also a three way with Angelina and Brad would not be the best- angelina can look hot on occasion, but Bread is aging badly, no more Mr. Adonis!

Anyway, the haters are just trying to find fault as you pointed out i.e. the restaurant, he’s white, etc. I also hope the comments from the haters will also stop about his orientation–that’s getting old too. C’mon get real–Halle really dating a guy that’s gay or bi–seriously, I think Halle would know. Don’t you think it would hit the tabloid, they’ve been dating for 18+ months, the argument doesn’t fly.
Agree. C’mon, saying this was staged, get real. I don’t blame him–the man just survived hell week (w/reporters for the last 2-3 probably asking him questions in Europe, at the Star unveiling and back in NYC when Halle was doing pr for the movie), I think I’d be pissed too–some of the pix of them out he didn’t look to thrilled to have the boys w/the flashes around.
JJ–am confused. We Halle and Gabe going or coming from Mexico to LAX? There are tons of photos on lots of websites including wireimage.com of her at the Mexico City premiere of Perfect Stranger on Thursday the 19th. What’s up? Wouldn’t make sense for them to get away for the weekend and her to fly back a day or two later for the premiere? Also, are you going to show photos from that premiere?

I will not support Halle’s new movie! She’s a liar! And I don’t think she uplifts the black man enough! She’s white washed! And yes I know she’s bi-racial, but for the record, most african-americans are mixed. Halle would have been on the plantation with the rest of us!
Gabriel is not the best looking man she’s dated thus far. Having blonde hair and blues does not make one the best looking man…to me he looks kind of weak and like a peacock!
Personally I don’t get Halle’s attraction to this dude. He seems conceded. He’ll leave her within a few years…that’s kind of “their” emo anyway, leave without giving you any warning!

Gabriel really loves Halle like she loves him, he isn’t using her. White or not, blond and blue-eyed or not, he is much better-looking than Michael Ealy, Eric Benet, David Justice, and Wesley Snipes. Only Shemar Moore is on his level. Get used to it, racists/haters! He is also a refined and cultured person. Could anyone say that about the others? He treats Halle very well. Since Halle when her skin is untanned looks like a quadroon, I hope they have a beautiful octoroon/mustee baby with light hair and eyes! It will be much better looking than any child she could have had with any of the others except maybe Shemar Moore. Picking on Gabriel because he is white and not liking Halle for dating him only seems racist and shallow. Also, while a lot of blacks are mixed in a sense, not as much as people think. And Halle is only supposed to identify as black and date black men? I get tired of that garbage! She should date all the gorgeous blonds she wants!
I thought Halle’s best match was DJ. I was so hopeful for them together. Then came Shemar Moore who is really cute, but he was acting too smooth. I couldn’t date a man who acts like that. I’d like to forget about Halle’s last two relationships.
A lot of black women like men who are smooth-talking and have what one poster called a “swagger,” but I will take off in the other direction if I see him coming because I don’t believe those types usually make good partners. You’re also usually going to get a cheater or someone who is promiscuous. That’s what I have observed.
I am not suprised that Halle is dating Gabriel. Halle wasn’t raised in a black community. She could end up having a lot of things in common with Gabriel. Also, the older you get and the more times you’ve been through the ringer, the more important it is to find someone who really has the characteristics you need. Young women especially seem to try to meet men’s qualifications. As women get older, they start saying, “What about MY needs?” Things like looks, status and race becomes less important the older you get. You really “hone in” on people and what they are made of.

I said the same thing about Halle Berry: Don’t hate Gabriel because he’s beautiful.
I hadn’t realised it before but it is true that since Halle wasn’t raised in a black community it is probably easier for her to date white men than for many other black women, since she can find things to connect with a white man easier. A lot of people thought David Justice was ugly, but I thought he and Halle were so much in love; I’ve said it before, but he was the only man besides Gabriel to make her this happy. I’m a fan of both Halle and Gabriel and wish them well. I just hate the fact that others can’t see it that way.
He’s so using Halle for her fame. Yeah he already had a little light as a model and yeah he might have a few dollars of his own….but TRUST…MOST PEOPLE ALWAYS WANT A LITTLE MORE!!! And I just read an article concerning Gabriel saying that since he’s been dating Halle he can now demand more money for his photos!!! Also I think Halle is blinded again by her own ambitions…she really WANTS A BABY and she wants a BABY NOW! So I think she’s willing to look over ANYONE’S (Particularly gabriel’s) shortcomings to make this work…in other words Gabriel in many ways HAS TO BE “PERFECT” because she needs to have a baby. But the reality is, he’s probably far from it.

Monster? Does every man have to be a monster? I’m sorry, but it seems like you are saying that since Gabriel is white, he’s not to be trusted or he must be hiding a devil. Don’t you believe it’s possible for a white man to fall in love with Halle Berry?
Halle is in a different league from most black women because she is famous. Most black women never in their lifetime get the opportunity to date a white man this fine.
I consider this to be a good, successful relationship. It’s proven to be long-lasting and no one is getting beaten or cheated on. They appear to be happy and honestly in love. If they don’t stay together forever, I won’t call this relationship a failure. If the relationship eventually ends, then it “ran its course” just like all the other “same-race” relationships do.

I agree with another poster. The only man from Halle’s past to compete with Gabriel in the “looks department” is Shemar Moore.
When I first saw David Justice, I thought he was a cutie. Not beautiful, but a cutie. I thought that David and Halle physically looked great together. Later, I saw him on a talk show. I was shocked! He was so “country” and was not well-spoken like Halle is. His speech did not match his cuteness and I was a little disappointed.
Since Halle and David split up, I’m no longer interested in him. He’s now married to a Hispanic woman and has a family. I spot him every once in a while when I am flipping channels on my TV, but that was then and this is now.
I think Gabriel Aubry is physically beautiful. He has a chiseled face and a nice strong jaw, plus piercing eyes. He has perfect facial features. I don’t care if they are European features. I don’t care a thing about what race he is. I like the way God put that man together.

Well, this relationship with Gabriel Aubry has created the most buzz. They are both so popular right now, and I think there are more people “against” them because it’s an interracial relationship. Halle’s relationships with David Justice and Shemar Moore were interesting also because one man is a professional ball player, the other, a heartthrob actor. However, the fact that Aubry is a gorgeous “white” man stirs up the pot quite a bit more. A lot of Caucasians have taken notice of this relationship too and are just as interested to see how things turn out.

I would like to add to the person who said that Gabriel looked weak just because he’s slim that men do not have to be weight-lifting steroid abusers or overweight (manly?) to look masculine. In pics I’ve seen of him he seems very fit and strong. Most of the men who look strong- that is false. Most of the overweight ones are seriously out of shape. As for the weightlifters they tend to be too into themselves and stink in the bargain from the steroids and all the grease they use!

I love them as a couple. Regarding a comment above: I was raised in the south around my black family and my fiancee and I are about the be married. He’s white and he is pretty much very opposite than me. So, you don’t have to grow up similarly to connect with others. I feel it is limiting to only date people that are just like you. True love and good relationships are about communicating and connecting with people.
