Brad & Angelina to do the Cannes Cannes
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are set to open the Cannes Film Festival on May 16 in France with A Mighty Heart, produced by Pitt’s company, Plan B.
“The story unfolds like a mystery,” said Jolie, who plays Mariane Pearl, the widow of slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. “You’ve got people collecting clues and trying to solve what happened. But it’s also very real and personal. We didn’t want it to be too melodramatic or too polished. We didn’t want it to be a typical movie.”
Says co-star Dan Futterman (pictured), “It would usually take about five minutes before people would figure out that it was Angelina. So we ended up shooting a lot of the exterior stuff in five-minute increments.”

OK, how come the new haters are so DUMB or too YOUNG and juvenile. Heck, it used to be fun to fighting with JA fans, but this new crop of haters have no class Ritzy; and they are so easy to crush that I don’t even want waist my key-strokes. Ritzy, how have you been? ready to join our winning club at JJ’s-) Yep, I know, does the bear sh%t in the woods :-) Heck it’s worth a try…
has to go Ritzy. Th, what gives? You are on that side of thr
YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I LIVE IN FRANCE I HOPE I WILL CAN SEE HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What has Just Jared done for BAMPZS…except add to their misery by putting up photo’s sold to him by the papps..who stalk them daily and make their life hell…
The only reason am not seeing this movie is that, the rights to it were brokered and acquired by Aniston and Brad went on to give the role first intended for her to his mistress who does not evn know how to act especially such roles that are not girl interrupted. I hope the film bombs.
I don’t think Jolie can pull off the role of Marianne Pearl. She is not such a good actress and should stick to sick, disturbed girl roles that suit her character more or lara croft where no talent is needed. I don’t see this movie being a success. Critics are going to tear it to shreads. I can’t wait.
Brad Pitt Joining Burn After Reading
Source: The Hollywood Reporter April 20, 2007
Brad Pitt has signed on to join his Ocean’s 13 co-star George Clooney in the Coen brothers’ Burn After Reading for Working Title Films.
The black comedy, which also stars Frances McDormand, centers on a CIA agent who loses the disc of the book he is writing. Like the film’s title, the screenplay is shrouded in secrecy, and it is unclear what role Pitt will play.
The Hollywood Reporter says the actor will begin shooting the film in late August.
Joel and Ethan Coen wrote the screenplay, and Joel Coen will direct the contemporary project. Focus Features will distribute worldwide.

Thanks Meli. I think Brad has comedic talent and timing & delivery that might have been overlooked because of his looks and that him being perceived as better suited to romantic leads.

I find it funny that you have yet to see the movie but you’re already giving your critique. I know sometimes its better to just let the close-minded be but I’m responding to you for the benefit of those who has no idea on the background of AMH.
Aniston was never involved in the negotiations for the rights of this movie. It was Brad Pitt who woed Marriane Pearl. Mrs. Pearl gave it to him because among those who bid he was the only one who actually read the book.
It looks like we have something to look forward to come the OSCARs!

Lily+Mimi = same person aka parasite on the thread.
According to Marienne Pearl’s interview given in 2003, she gave the right of the book to BRAD because he was the ONLY person who read her book among several people who negociated with her.
According to Jennifer’s interview in 2003, she even DIDN’T read the book.
According to Brad’s interview in early 2004, NEITHER Brad NOR Jennifer planned to act in AMH. They were planning to ONLY PRODUCE this movie.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Warner which bought the right of this book from MP dropped the idea of making her book into film. ( There were no development of this book at that time).
Then in 2005 Palamaunt (misspell ?) Vantage had interest in Brad’s idea and took the right from Werner. At that time this couple was already broke up. ( Jennifer has NO contribution to this process. It was ALL Brad)
According to Variety’s Brad interview, Brad’s ex has NO connection with Plan B now. (She took several projects which are attaced to Werner)

Ocean’s pair set for new Coen brothers comedy
Fresh from their roles in Ocean’s 13, Brad Pitt and George Clooney are preparing another co-starring venture in the new film from the Coen brothers. The A-list Hollywood actors will take centre stage in Burn After Reading, a black comedy that is based on the brothers’ first original screenplay since 2001’s The Man Who Wasn’t There.
Burn After Reading stars Clooney as a CIA agent who mislays the disc containing a confessional book he has been writing. It marks the performer’s third outing with the Coens, following star turns in O Brother Where Art Thou and the legal caper Intolerable Cruelty. It is not yet known what role Pitt will play in the tale.

Jolie at her toughest in Daniel Pearl film
Friday April 20 2007 14:04 IST
REUTERS
LOS ANGELES: Angelina Jolie has never shied from tough subjects in films, but it could be her upcoming movie about slain journalist Danny Pearl that shows the beautiful actress at her grittiest.
“We didn’t want to be too melodramatic or too polished. We didn’t want it to be a typical movie,” Jolie told Entertainment Weekly magazine in its summer movie preview issue that hits newsstands on Friday.
Jolie, 31, portrays Pearl’s wife, Mariane, in “A Mighty Heart,” which is set to open on June 22 and is based on Mariane’s best-selling novel about her search for her husband after he was kidnapped in Pakistan in 2002.
Pearl was beheaded, and the video of his execution was posted on the Internet, and much of the film shows his wife frantically trying to find and save her husband.
The movie was produced by Brad Pitt, Jolie’s companion, and during filming in Pakistan and India last year, the film crew’s presence caused a storm of publicity as they were followed by paparazzi.
While shooting in a school in Mumbai, India, Jolie’s bodyguards were accused of blocking parents from picking up their kids, although the security officials claimed they were barring celebrity photographers from storming into the school.
“The paparazzi rushed through the gates and caused chaos. It was not the film production that caused chaos. We were only guilty of bringing the paparazzi,” Jolie told the entertainment magazine.
“A Mighty Heart” was directed by Britain’s Michael Winterbottom, who is known for bringing a sense of reality to films by using hand-held cameras and encouraging actors to improvise.
Jolie said she sometimes clashed with Winterbottom when his filmmaking style became too intrusive.
“Michael and I would have disagreements over where he could follow me. We came up with a system. If I closed the door, he couldn’t follow. If I left it open, he could,” she said. “I just needed to know that if things got too heavy, there’d be a place for me to cry by myself.”
By now fans you all know that it is one person posting using different names and they want to bring _in the thread,SO PLEASE TO ALL THE FANS DONT PLAY THIS GAME.Fans have already responded about how Brad got the rights to the movie,so lets not SPOIL the thread with that.
AMH’s release day is 6/22 (limited) in US. There would be another negative campaign toward Angie who took MP’s role. One of them is the story about Brad’s ex. They will pick up her indecisive, ambiguous words as if it were fact . Her delusional fans will spread their lies again. We have facts and should defend Angie with them.
Thanks for the new Thread Just Jared. Thanks for all the information about “A Mighty Heart” and BP and George’s new Movie. I think that “A Mighty Heart” will be a touching and moving film and I am sure that AJ will do an excellent job. She is a good actress and has given memorable performances in many films. It is good that the some of the media (excluding trashy tabs) are focusing more on her acting skills. I am sure that BP and AJ, along with their children, tries to keep as much of their lives private as they can. Best wishes to BAMPZS. Peace to all the fans. Keep up the good work Just Jared. Your site is the best.
The George and Brad new movie sounds fun. He has this movie and State of Play for this year, I think Angelina will do the Clint Eastwood movie early next year.
good evening to fellow BAMPZSers… to MF, Real tita and the rest of pinays here in JJ… galing talaga natin pumili ng idol… maganda na matalino pa at mapangkawangawa pa.. what else you can ask for.. Angie not only beautiful outside but inside too… that’s why i love and admire her a lot.
Can’t wait to see pix of my favorite couple in Cannes !!! I love me some Brad and Angie hugging & smootching and hope pix of kids too!! Maybe Pax will be used to paparazi by then :-).
just have one wish though.. hope the trolls and the haters will give a rest and stop posting here (wishful thinking) .. any Genie/fairygodmother in the house?? :-)
