Brad & Angelina to do the Cannes Cannes
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are set to open the Cannes Film Festival on May 16 in France with A Mighty Heart, produced by Pitt’s company, Plan B.
“The story unfolds like a mystery,” said Jolie, who plays Mariane Pearl, the widow of slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. “You’ve got people collecting clues and trying to solve what happened. But it’s also very real and personal. We didn’t want it to be too melodramatic or too polished. We didn’t want it to be a typical movie.”
Says co-star Dan Futterman (pictured), “It would usually take about five minutes before people would figure out that it was Angelina. So we ended up shooting a lot of the exterior stuff in five-minute increments.”

I am so looking forward to seeing AHM. This is definitely a great role for Angie like Gia, GI, George Wallace. She has the acting chops to pull off roles like this — and once again we will get to she, her work her magic. The way she can tap into her emotional is just brilliant and that is what makes a great actress, IMO.

I don’t care for Ben Affleck, so i don’t watch his movies, don’t read about him, don’t think about him, don’t look at his pictures, yet you WACKO’S obsess over 2 people you don’t like and fill your mind up with info/thoughts about them…sick, sick, sick.
I’ll never understand that behavior. Obviously they’re mentally ill, thank god they don’t have access to guns…
People magazine is the only one that bothered to have Virginia’s tragety on the cover in their new issue while all the pathetic rags are spreading bullshits. Good for the mag. That is why it is above all the others.

And you consider this as something bad?? Think about it a little. Producers want their movies to succeed and get recognition because otherwise they will lose money. That means that Angie is considered a respected actress who could stand for this role. So if she wasn’t the producers that are involved wouldn’t have casted her even if she is with one of them.
And as we know I think a certain someone who was with the same producer for 7 years didn’t manage to get any project made and the though of casting her for this specific role didn’t even crossed the producer’s mind. LOL!!

So yeah, Angie lives with Brad, who owns Plan B, and one could say she has an inside track, but it is no different than JA hoping to get parts through the same inside track because she was married to him at the time Plan B was formed.

Brad is not 20 or 30 anymore, his is in his 40′. He is still looks better than some 30 or 40 years. Also, “blob” is just a word. I am a black woman and I have no problem with Angie playing Marianne Pearl. The movie is not about race so your point is moot. I believe it is about learning to see people for who they are not what they are (i.e., muslim, jews, blacks, whites). It is about a lesson on tolerance and respect for others culture. PS, she does not have any black make-up on.

It’s Brad who has beneft from getting Angie in ｔｈｉｓ movie. He got high demanding actress with low cost. He got globally popular actress in low budget indie movie. Angie turned down Sin City 2 despite of Robert Rodoliges’s repeated offer and chose this small movie. Now Brad is willingly paying the difference of payment (huge) eｖｅｒｙ night, I heard.
Angie was already a star when she met Brad so there was no coat tail riding on her part.

Yeah I just saw their cover. At least they made an effort to look less stupid this time. But they just couldn’t resist to not add Brad and Angie on their cover to sell some more. In Touch and Us weekly are trying very hard to look like People from time to time but they fail miserably.

Now I know that poster is just yanking our chains because in one breath she is complaining that no Latina/black actress got the part, Angie did which is a disservice to black/Latina actressed. Then in the next breath she is complaining that Angie got the role that was supposed to be Jen’s.
