OlderAlec Baldwin’s Phone Tirade With Daughter
Alec Baldwin left an extremely angry voicemail for his and ex-wife Kim Basinger’s 11-year-old daughter Ireland Baldwin when he couldn’t get in touch with her, as reported by TMZ yesterday. Here’s the transcript:
Hey I want to tell you something, okay, and I want to leave a message for you right now, cos again it’s 10:30 her in New York on a Wednesday and once again, I have made an ass of myself trying to get to a phone to call you at a specific time. When the time comes for me to make the phone call, I stop whatever I’m doing and I go and I make that phone call at 11 o’clock in the morning in New York and if you don’t pick up the phone at 10 o’clock at night and you don’t even have that goddamn phone turned on.
I’m tired of playing this game with you. I’m leaving this message for you to tell you that you have insulted me for the last time. You have insulted me. You don’t have the brains or the decency as a human being… I don’t give a damn that you’re 12 years old or 11 years old, or a child, or that your mother is a thoughtless pain in the ass who doesn’t care about what you do as far as I’m concerned.
You have humiliated me for the last time with this phone and when I come out there next week. I’m going to fly out there for the day just to straighten you out on this issue. I’m going to let you know just how disappointed in you that I am and how angry I am with you that you’ve done this to me again.
You made me feel like s*** and you’ve made me feel like a fool over and over and over again. And this crap you pull on me with this goddamn phone situation that you would never dream of doing to your mother and you do it to me constantly and over and over again. I am going to get on a plane and I am going to straighten your ass out when I see you.
Do you understand me? I am going to really make sure you get it. That I’m going to get on a plane and I’m gonna turn around and come home. So you better be ready Friday the 20th to meet with me. So I’m going to let you know how I feel, about what a rude little pig you really are. You are a rude thoughtless little pig. Okay?
Basinger’s publicist Annette Wolfe said, “The voicemail speaks for itself.”
Baldwin’s spokesperson told Extra, “In the best interest of the child, Alec will do what the mother is pathologically incapable of doing … keeping his mouth shut and obeying the court order. The mother and her lawyer leaked this sealed material in violation of a court order. Although Alec acknowledges that he should have used different language in parenting his child, everyone who knows him privately knows what he has been put through for the past six years.”

If 11 year old children behave extremely bad and violent it´s their caretakers/parents fault!!! If the child doesn´t suffer from some form av personality disorder etc and needs psychiatric or other treatment! I can very well understand how socialization à la mr Baldwin could make a child troublesome and difficult - but that is definitely not the child´s fault!

Oh my god, that’s a little much for a eleven year old in my opinion. Obviously they were stupid for releasing it and it is no one’s business. After to listen to his message agh; I would run and hide. That is sick.

Icky I don’t want to hook up(?) with Magnus. I just want to talk to someone with my email. I do have food issues though I hate junk food, and when I was a kid if I overate I’d be really sick and throw up, so I can’t eat big portions, so I can only eat small or normal portions, but I think chewing it well is boring as is pretty much eating as well. At the end I work around the house almost all day, and I enjoy sports, and after all that I can’t seem to put on any weight!!?!!.. I also LOVE to snack on apples. I actually force myself to eat these really caloric meals that you can buy because three times I got to skinny and messed up my period *sigh*. I don’t look like I am underfed now thank God… As far as my looks I am very happy.

I’m glad it was released. Kim and her lawyers need not explain further. Alec hung himself. This is abuse of parental power. The poor girl must be terrified of him. Imagine having a prearranged visitation with a father like this - she wouldn’t know when he lashes out in anger. How would she ever know if she is safe?!
Now imagine being married to him? “Pig” name calling must have been mild. Hanging out with this guy would destroy anyone’s self esteem.
Wow, he sounds really angry. I get that he is mad that she keeps missing his phone calls but to talk to a kid like that is just awful. She is only 11 or 12 and the way he speaks to her, he acts as if she is manipulative and purposely being hurtful, which i highly doubt. Both parents should be ashamed of themselves. This poor kid is going to be so messed up when she grows up. She should be taken away from both of them.
If Basinger leaked the info, she did it to prove what an insensitive jerk Baldwin really is. It seems not long ago Basinger said some comment to the tune of Baldwin being mean to their daughter, but she had no proof and no one would believe her. Well, this is her proof. Basinger did the right thing.
My fear is that the custody order will be changed. If Baldwin is a mad lunatic now, he’s going to be a real raging bull then! Wild, uncontrollable anger has led many people to murder. Basinger needs to tread… very carefully.

Really rude…and totally uncalled for…where does he get off speaking to his daughter in such a manner…he needs a bloody good slap if you ask me! Sounds like a nasty piece of work..god knows how he treats her behind closed doors..he ought to be ashamed of himself…that is not an example of good parenting…hope that the **** learns from his behaviour and changes his ways!
Claims that a wife or girlfriend has emotional problems is a common charge of abusive men. It is also a way to destroy a woman’s self-esteem. They’ll tell you to your face that you’re nuts again and again, in hopes that it sinks in and you believe them. Once you start doubting yourself, they have gained control over your life.. A lot of abused women do seem a little abnormal after a while because they sink into a state of sadness and exhaustion. Kim was a beautiful, successful actress, happy and vibrant. The first time someone complained of her on-set behavior was when she did her first movie with guess who? Alec Baldwin.
Now all of Baldwin’s family and friends can rally around him with support, but it still doesn’t change the fact that he called his own flesh and blood a pig. He wasn’t just angry, he was abusive. Those words are used to hurt and to destroy her self esteem. In order to change, he has to acknowledge he has a problem. He hasn’t done that. He can’t abuse his ex-wife, so he passed it on to the daughter. I hope he doesn’t have a dog.
Kim is more of a nutjob then Alec. When your own mother says you are using the child against the father then there is smoke. Neither parent is fit for this child and she should be removed and put in the social services system. Maybe without the luxuries provided by a guilty father and a manipulative mother she might develop some character and stability, as it is now the odds are against her and she may very well be a brat already.

Neither parent is fit because they haven’t been able to get over their anger. They both need therapy.
I’d take what Kim’s mother said with a grain of salt. She has always been jealous and envious of her daughter’s beauty and fame. That’s why they are not close today. That woman needs to keep her trap shut.
Alec said, “You don’t have the brains or the decency as a human being…YOU made me feel like s*** and YOU’ve made me feel like a fool over and over and over again. YOU have humiliated me for the last time… how angry I am with you that YOU’ve done this to me again.” These statements are clearly emotionally and verbally abusive. This grown man is responsible for his own feelings and he shouldn’t blame anyone for HIS feelings, especially a child! “You made me feel” is a common claim made by abusers. That and “if you would only do as I say, I wouldn’t have to be this way.” Mr. Baldwin needs some counseling and domestic abuse intervention.
He was spitting nails at his little gir! Someone mentioned that maybe he had in his mind Kim but spewing it to his daughter…If that’s the case he’s really f’ed up. In his tirade he was in such a trance that he got delusional and was thinking Kim. From the sound of his voice, we can gather that this is not the first or last time for a tirade like this. The TONE, not the volume of his voice is what’s scary. What requires him to get on a plane to “straighten her out”? You can’t straighten her out over the phone? What is he gonna do that requires his presence? America, this is the era of no excuses. I’m sorry but there is no excuse for calling your children farm animals. There is no excuse for “losing it”. If you have no no self discipline and self control as an adult then you have serious problems. The adult has to be the adult and not “lose it” at all costs….Stop the excuses. Nobody wants to hear them. Stop trying to be “friends” with your kids. Stop trying to be cool and hip and “with it” with your kids friends. As for Kim leaking them..I kinda thought that it would have been Ireland..If anyone was in the position of losing it, it’s her. She should emancipate herself at 15. Alec will always be an angry abusive man who hits women and children. His problem is DEEP people.
