Becks is Back and Better Than Ever

David Beckham heats up the soccer field on Saturday, returning after a six-week injury absence.

The midfielder helped lead Real Madrid to a 2-1 victory over Valencia at the Bernabeu stadium by providing a free kick for Sergio Ramos to head the deciding goal.

During the match, security chased a fan who ran onto the field to give Becks his shirt.

Lulu,you are so right. He is such a good player and he is not 34-35 to retire somewhere in US’s pitches. He could have 3 full years on the big stage…like Milan or he could stay in Madrid.

Looks like he hit the weights during the injury. Too bad he’s only got 7 games left :(.
I think he would have stayed if his issues were only with Capello because Madrid managers don’t last now but with Calderon totally backing Capello and his foot-in-mouth disease leaving became easier.

I will probably get eaten alive here but here it goes. He’s a great football player and will be completely wasted in America, but come on- David Beckham is completely and utterly unappealing, gross as many Americans would say.

I’d rather be with the ugliest and the meanest looking prop in world rugby than him, then at least I wouldn’t have to hide my nail polish or my tweezers. I say bring back the real men. It’s not that I don’t like David Beckham I have a complete respect for him on the pitch, but off - he is kind of an embarrassment to us English. He’s more cringe worthy for us these days than anything else.

P.S Go to Twickenham and see a real man.

^ lol I agree that he should lay off the eyebrows, but he’s always been himself and hasn’t claimed to be a macho guy or tried to fit any stereotype of a “real man”.

He is who he is and doesn’t apologize for it.

Geez, I failed to notice his face. My eyes can’t get past those arms. I have to admit, no matter what he does to his eyebrows, if I saw him in person, I would be diggin on those arms if only in my thoughts. I bet the expression on my face would give me away in that case. lol

Man he has that footballer/rugby players roughed up face. Does he have a missing or chipped tooth? He not bad looking but looks about 40. JJ, show us the young players who are in their early 20’s and who look their age.

OK Ella we get the point you dont like him so why look at him?

Becks is a great player, all this nonsesne about him not being as macho as a rugby player who cares? Most of them look like they’ve been repeatedly beaten with the ugly stick. Becks plays with a passion and fight that is unmatched by alot of his Real Madrid team mates and his right foot is still on of the deadliest weapons in european football. Hes very accurate, you only have to read Sergio Ramos’s and Van Nislerooys comments after the game to see how much his fellow pros respect him. And Capello himself said that David(and Guti) came on and changed the game in Madrids favour.

I think he looks gorgeous, not 40, just a little tired after working his ass off. His body looks great, seems he hit the gym during his injury lay off
