I think the show was based on finding a new PCD for their clubs in Las Vegas or Los Angeles, not necessarily for the recording group PCD. They just used the recording group to promote the show because of their familiarity & popularity, but in the end the winner will most likely travel with the group to promote the show and new winner for a short time but ultimately will end up performing in one of their clubs. They are already casting for season 2.

Each year Robin has auditions for new member or member’s of the PCD’s (not the recording group) and they just decided to make it into a show.

I was rooting for the underdog - Chelsea. She may not have been as strong of a dancer, but her vocals were so much better and she just has a certain ‘it’ factor that I don’t think the other girls have. She came a long way in her dancing and would have done Robin proud. I hope she does go on to have a big recording career and outshine Asia.

I can’t imagine Asia functioning well with the other girls - she needs anger management and to grow up. Both she and Mel R showed their true colours the last night and were acting like idiots. When you’re starting out in the biz you have to check your ego at the door.

I think Asia is the phoney…i can see how Melissa R. made that comments about Melissa S. and Asia of all people would see why Melissa made that comment. Asia is always like it’s about the competition, screw the other girls –> then why react to Melissa R.’s comment like that!? Honestly, I can see how Melissa S. was getting annoying, she was stupid to pick on Chelsea. Melissa R. was being open to Asia and Chelsea making that comment while Asia is too busy not to get close to anyone! i would have REALLY REALLY preferred Melissa R to make it…but if they were just having this contest to find people to be in the PCD show, then i guess i don’t mind Asia making it. I would have wanted Melissa R to be in a GROUP - not the show. But she really did resemble Nicole, so i guess that was a factor as to why she didn’t get picked. Hopefully this will affect her future career somehow and get her foot in the music business.

It’s good to hear that there was other melissa R fans out there because I was routing for her for the whole show! I really did not want Asia to win but I had this strange feeling she was going to. I was so pissed last night after the finale! It might be better for Melissa R anyway because if she was just going to be in the PCD show then shes better off going solo and become a huge star instead of just some dancer at a show! I’ll put money on her becoming a huge star!

I knew it — Asia is the next PCD! I watched the finale last night and it was intense. Good choice, Robin!

whoever that person is who won, just won a spot as a backup dancer to nicole. she’s pretty much a solo artist now, and everyone else just sings/dances backup.

I cant beleive Asia won…should have been Chelsea. But I would like to point out that someone called her a HO because she was a 17 year old Mom - that is ridiculous!! She is not a HO, just needs to learn about birth control, face it everyone is doing it anyway, she should have learned to protect herself. Although, she desperately needs Anger Management of some sort - and she totally played the Mom card when it suited her!!

I think that ASIA is ALMOST deserving, BUT she chose to have a child at a very young age. She shoulb be at home with her baby. PCD has a tight schedule all over the place.
That being said, shes pretty and now at least more than one of them can sing…

Nicole the lead singer is part filipino, as is Melissa R, and they’re very similar.. Asia is part filipino and black or whatever.. (It seems to be a bad mix, cause Asia is the ugliest mix of filipino I have ever seen)

Chelsea was a doll and Melissa R had class, but she looked too similar to Nicole and would come close to meeting Nicole’s singing talent if not completly outshining her. Melissa R seemed to be naturally more conservative than the other two though which I think cost her.

But if Asia, is a reflection of what it means to be a PCD than my impression of what a PCD girl is supposed to be was completely screwed. Cause Asia is a nightmare.. An ugly disgrace of a nightmare.. She’s not a sl ut for having a child at 17, but she is an irresponsible parent for doing this, when she has a child that she should be a parent to. Asia is absolutely gorgeous. I love the fact that she is diverse (Latina/African American/Filipina). So what if she has a kid? She’s still doing a lot better than the people who are sitting around leaving hateful messages about her. She’s a star. The other two girls were good but obviously not good enough. I heart Asia and can’t wait to see her in the PCD videos!!!

As much as i love reality shows, they aren’t ALL 100% reality. it’s more like, fiction with a taste of reality. As for the finale, i thought it was the supidest thing ever, not because i didn’t want asia to win, but the fact that, THE JUDGES CHOSE ASIA BEFORE THE PERFORMANCE. if you’ve watched the little interview on E! [daily 10 i believe] with asia, she says “The judges actually chose me a few days before the finale, i was forced to hide it from my family” So the choice wasn’t even based on the performances.

Also, everyone that’s accusing those girls being a s*** and b**** if you haven’t noticed, most of the girls are being portrayed a different way. This is because things are CUT OFF, in the editting room, and they try to keep the show intresting by shoving in drama, which causes people to think “OMG! B****!!!”

I wanted Chelsea to win, she had the best vocals, and i thought she had progressed the most. But after seeing it all, i don’t want Chelsea to win anymore, mainly because she would’ve been shoved as a backup, where her vocals wouldn’t come on as much as they could. Although, since Nicole is going to hit it solo, i think they could’ve/should’ve picked Chelsea, mainly because, Chelsea has AMAZING vocals, and could OUTSHINE Nicole, not only that most of the dancing shouldn’t even be a problem, because if you noticed, HALF OF THE TIME, Nicole doesn’t even dance, she walks around singing, with few dance steps. Not only that, but Chelsea could grow to be something so much better, and LEARN how to dance incredibly.

I also though Melissa had a lot of potential to be the next doll, I think she has much more talent then what it seems to be as a “backup” I had a feeling Chelsea wasn’t going to win because her dancing wasn’t strong enough, so i had a feeling Melissa would’ve won. When i saw that Asia won i really did wonder whyyyyy on earthh would they pass up Melissa?

Even though we all have our opinions, Robin knows the best, she chose who she though would fit in the best as the next PCD, and if Asia fits that spot then she does, arguing can’t change that.

i was so voting on chelsea! you can teach a girl to move but you can’t give someone a new voice. chelsea had it. that girl’s gonna go places. and as for mel r she was just as catty as the rest of them. she was fickle and kept changing her mind on who she liked and didn’t like. now asia i don’t even know why she made it to the final three. her singing would be off one day and on the next. she is drama drama drama and way too immature!

She deserved it the most, she has a daughter to raise and this is a great opprotunity for her and her child. I have a son and i would do anything for him, like she did. Asia is gorgeous, she can dance her ass off, and her voice grew stronger threw out the competition. Melissa R has parents who are doctors, she’s an actress to she’ll be fine. My opinion on the other girls.

Melissa R turned into a ***** in the end, what was the point of waking Asia up at 3:30 in the ******* morning to whine and then bringing her Asia’s daughter into it. She was way out of line. Chelsea stayed real the whole time, she was sweet and could sing but she wasn’t pussycat doll material. Melissa S was the major diva..i had tears of joy when she left. Sisely didn’t stand a chance i think she got who wants to be the next PCD and who wants to be the next blondie mixed up. I loved Mariela and Anastacia, but Anastacia was so tall and had so much hair, she would have looked like the missing link next to them. They did her a favor lol
