The technology truly amazed us. We can’t stop replaying this video on the Internet or our DVR. We are HUGE Elvis fans and loved the duet last night. I don’t see how anyone could have thought that was creepy or anything but magnificent. I just can’t imagine how much they put into that performance. Well done American Idol and Thank you Celine Dion and whoever else could have had any part of this duet. We are young Elvis fans but have always been fascinated by him. Again, thanks. VERY VERY COOL. Loved it. Still watching!!!!

WOW amazing ,

Elvis the king with
Celine the Diva !!!!!

Nice Duo !!!!!!!!

The hologram of Elvis was amazing. Trust me this is only the beginning of what technology is going to do with this type of entertainment. You were some of the first to witness it. Imagine if your photos were like this. Some people thought flying in an airplane was wierd at the time.

Elvis and Celine a perfect pair. Elvis continues to make people lives happier.God Bless the king!

Cool…. get used to this folks …. it’s the future of entertainment.

wow… sooo cool. amazing technology. bringin people back to life. it’s like what we could have in the future.. imagine all the great dead men and women walkin around in a museum (or something) with this technology. bravo to the people who made this duet possible. soo great.

This was fantastic. Elvis was and is the king. He and Celine did a fantastic job. Kids of today don’t really appreicate good music. Celine has a wonderful voice and to pair her with Elvis was a stroke of greatness. The person who thought this up should be commended. This is just the start of things to come. Like someone else said wouldn’t it be great to actually “see ” great people of the past as they are giving speeches that changed history. This was not creepy or wierd. Hope to see more of this. Maybe we can see more of Elvis singing either alone or with someone. Elvis rocks!!!!!!!!!

LOVED IT! I think it was pure genius! I’m a big fan of both Celine Dion and Elvis although I wasn’t born yet when Elvis was in the peak of his career. I couldn’t get enough of it I still watch the video everyday!

What a wonderful performance to see and hear. The person/people that put it all together is/are truly talented. I enjoyed seeing and hearing both performers together very much. To all those who find it creepy and weird, you just don’t enjoy perfection when you see and hear it!!!!!

not sure who thinks sanjaya was on stage……..where did you get that from frenchy? …………thought the duet was LOVELY!…….not going to see anything that powerful from anyone else

I thought it was totally awesome, I sat there and watched in awe……Something we all should appreciate……modern technology is fantastic…..Too bad all didn’t enjoy it.

Celine Dion, she’s a angel of our time and Elvis a god of out time.

this was REALLY AMAZING! it just proves that anything is possible with modern technology! Creepy? well…maybe just a tad bit but it was more amazing than creepy :) I’m glad Idol raised a lot! $ 60 million so far, am i right? Thats really great! they are actually promoting awareness of the issues around us that seem to be neglected for some singing contest. It’s great they’re using their status to promote a good cause. :)

amazing!!!shocking !

I thought the video was fantastic, it gave me the chills. Elvis was a great entertainer and will live on forever, no one could ever take his place.

This was one of the most precious and wonderful things I have ever seen. What an honor to The King of Rock & Roll. 30 yrs. later and he is still remembered by those of his error and many other generations. Now with new technology, he will continue to be remembered and re-discovered
by the youth of this country for his musical brillance!!!! Those who say this was creepy or put EP down, obviously know nothing about him or music. As the saying goes, “If you’re an Elvis Fan, you just get it.” “If you are not,you never will.” I feel bad for those who don’t get it cause they have truly missed out on the best. Maybe that’s why Elvis was named Artist of the Cantury. You think????????

Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!
Bravo! René. Bravo! Céline et Bravo! Elvis Presley.

I was stunned……….it was as if my hero was back, alive and kicking…and so very beautiful. Lord, what will they think of next…………..Elvis, come back…..we need you.

Wow! That was beautiful. It gave me chill bumps, I love Elvis!!!

Wow!!!!!!!! Love LOVE Loved it. There is never enought Elvis in the world. I wish more music today could be understood. He is and always will be the king.

Now THAT was entertainment! Fox, take a bow and please seriously consider doing something like that on a prime time special to honor THE KING this August on what will be the 30th anniversary of his death.

It was not at all creepy, but a wonderful tribute, a wonderful song, a wonderful application of technology, and a wonderful joining of hands across generations.

Any chance to again see Elvis at the height of his powers is always welcome. I was a little girl lying on the carpet in front of the TV, propped on my elbows and eagerly pounding my toes on the floor the night his half of that performance first aired. I loved seeing it again, and in a way that renewed my childhood wonder. I think it’s fantastic that entire generations of viewers who may never have actually heard or seen an Elvis performance, but only have heard jokes about his last years in Vegas, got a chance to see and hear for themselves why he *is* the king.

All that said…I don’t think they improved on the original. Had they kept both voices throughout, with Celine Dion sometimes in harmony, sometimes in unison with Elvis, I think I would have been absolutely blown away, because she is an excellent singer. Because his voice was so much more powerful than hers, to make the transitions from one voice to the other they actually took out his voice in the very parts where [I know from hearing it over the years] he really soared. The result repeatedly left me feeling as if I’d been taken to the brink of a precipice and then unceremoniously dropped off to stand looking at the view just when I expected to fly. Someone who didn’t know the Elvis-only version might not get that feeling, but… In addition, again because I know where the melody is “supposed” to go, the fact that she was frequently singing an alternate melodic line highlighted for me the fact that something—Elvis’s voice, *the* melody—was missing.

Those minor complaints aside, I loved it. What a stirring and moving moment, and so unexpected, at a time when I’ve long since ceased expecting such an experience from television.

Rosie is a BIG FAT PIG!

It was a nice nostalgic piece reflecting the horrible trouble and tensions over the King and Kennedy assasinations and of course that other phoney war…the performance was convincing EXCEPT usually wore dresses when performing. And on stage with the King in business slacks is Kitchy at least.
